A lovely sunny day for us, with cloudy periods. As our friends drove away we heard thunder and it's raining heavily right now.
We had a really lovely day at Shibden Hall, and good lunch at the pub. I will write more on that thread.
Being driven in a soft top car with the top down was a real treat on a summer's day 😊
I'm another nagging Daisy about her sore back and gardening!!
I hope you had a restful day Qwerty, in readiness for GC!
Another light week ahead for me, as with GD and GS2 still on holiday so just one day of GS1.

Quite a productive day for us. We tidied up the front garden, and with Plant's kind warning ringing in my ears I alternated jobs - cut back the lavender, then dead headed the buddleia bushes, which had grown really high so a bit of gentle stretching, then a late Chelsea chop for a few straggly plants and a bit of sweeping up. After lunch while OH went to visit his sick friend I trimmed the edge of the lawn and cut it, then did the watering this evening. My back actually feels better for the exercise - they do say keep moving, don't they!
It was quite warm today, which was a good excuse to take things gently!
Tomorrow I've got GD2 and Cooper. GD1 is doing a week of stage production - the world premier (and only performance) is on Friday! I'm sure she'll love it. GD2 is doing two short days - one singing and one dancing. I think she's quite musical - she can hold a tune and is always dancing, so it will be interesting to see how she gets on.
Qwerty - I'm glad you had a good time out with 'the girls' - it sounds as though you've got another busy week ahead of you. You'll be ready for your trip to Spain.
Gem - at least it stayed dry for your day out. How lovely being driven in an open top car. I even love that on a freezing cold day, provided the heater's going full blast. I'm loving driving my Yeti with the roof open too!

It's raining here, so that pretty graphic is much appreciated. It looks like indoor play today for Eva and Cooper. gD2 has asked to do some baking, so that's us two sorted.
Have a good day everyone.

Tea sounds good Nan2.
I'm glad your back is no worse Daisy. My DD3 did a lot of those week long drama courses with a production at the end during school holidays. She loved them!
A very wet night here, which the gardens will appreciate I'm sure .
I am having a reflexology treatment this morning, OH will go to John Lewis to collect the laptop.
Golf for her this afternoon and I will see my mum. The computer man is due at 6ish, so I should be up and running this evening!
Have a good day everyone.

Morning ladies , we had huge Thunder and lightning storm last night , poor Lupins and Lillies are flattened ,
DD sent a video of Storm at the window watching it all , the claps of Thunder were deafening but didn't faze him at all he looked like he was smiling ,
Hes now asleep across my feet snoring
Daisy have you had many Butterflies on your Buddleia ? I read there has been a huge amount of them this year , Glad you didn't over stretch yourself yesterday .
Gem your day out sounds perfect , we used to love our convertible on nice days , the wind in your hair and the warmth , just lovely .
Daisy, pleased you managed to get the garden into shape without injuring your back, nice to sit back an appreciate your work.
Gemini sounds good, driving through the countryside with the wind in your hair.
Can't seem to get myself motivated this morning, still not dressed. Bowls this afternoon. Had a lovely meal in next door yesterday, it made me realise how much more tasty a whole roasted chicken is and my DD always cooks the veg just right, chicken breasts are not the same. I might cook a whole chicken, joint it up and freeze it.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
Daisy I hope the cooking goes well.A good time filler.
Plant enjoy your bowls. I’d love to play.
Gem a reflexology treatment is something else I’ve always wanted to try.Hope to see you posting from the new laptop ASAP.
We had a couple of thunder rumbles yesterday evening and that was it though I did hear rain in the night.
It’s sunny but fresh here at the moment.
I’m going to pick some lavender later to dry and hopefully make some lavender sachets for the disabled lady whose house I clean for her birthday .Never have a clue what to give her so she’ll be able to put the lavender sachets amongst her underwear. Well that’s the plan anyway
Afternoon ladies a hectic weekend catching up on chores and garden. I have the girls 2 Guinea pigs while they are away, got to clean the smelly things out later oh joy. It's very warm here today but clouds on the horizon 🤔 Have treated myself to a pair of foot socks that you moisturise your feet never tried them before so hoping they make my tootsies nice and soft. I don't suffer with callous feet just get very dry. A pet hate is seeing ladies in sandals with wedges of hard skin yuk. Well must bite the bullet and clean the guineas, then fill my bird feeders. Hope everyone is having a good day.
Hello ladies. Had a busy morning tidying up and housework ☹️, now waiting for a visit from P’s cousin who is over here from Melbourne. Will be nice t catch up with them and have a good chat. Also this morning we FaceTimed,DgD in Sydney, so it’s an Oz themed day today 🐨🇦🇺

Afternoon
Spent most of the day looking for my iPhone, turned the house upside down no sign of it, OH had planne to get his haircut, and cut the grass , eventually at 2ish he went to get his hair cut, on his way to get the car on the drive he spotted my phone on the garden bench it’s been there since Saturday night . 😱 all that thunderstorm we had and it’s working 😳 I have an app on my iPad that rings my phone if I can’t find it but I wouldn’t hea4 it outside plus it was flat as a pancake.
Now relaxing before the onslaught of grandchildren over the next 3 days ,enjoy your week ladies as best you can xx
My GD has guinea pigs Libra, but as DD1 lives much closer to them than I do, she falls for holiday care 😊
Qwerty, did you not miss your phone yesterday? I'm pretty much welded to mine. I'm glad it survived the downpour!
What an Australian day you are having Enfys!
Home made lavender bags are a nice idea Clover
I tried to give my car a natural air freshener by sticking sprigs of lavender in the vents, but I can't say I can smell them. Back to the drawing board LOL.
Mum was fine but thought DD3 was coming tomorrow. I texted her to check and no, it's today and she was on her way! I got to see her a little and sample one of the home made biscuits she brought with her , before leaving them for a good catch up.
I have set up the laptop as much as I can. I am reluctant to go online on it yet, until computer guy moves everything over for us, which hopefully includes the Norton protection.
