I had a nice long chat over coffee with my friend this morning, She is one of the 2 friends I worked with. We meet in a 3 for a meal, every few weeks, but the other friend tends to dominate all conversation and we rarely get a word in! So sometimes now we two meet for coffee and proper catch up.
This afternoon OH and I bought new garden table, chairs and a parasol. We have wanted new for a few years now. Let's hope we have lovely summer to use them

My mum, my 2 older daughters and the 3 grandchildren are coming over this afternoon. We are having an afternoon tea.
Various sandwiches, pizza (not traditional afternoon tea fare I know , but kids love it!) sausage rolls, crisps, olives, and cakes various. Apart from chocolate rice crispie cakes which I made yesterday, the other cakes are bought. It's my Mothers Day too, so keeping it simple
Whether you see family or not, I hope your Mother's Day is a good one.

DD calling later , B off to see his Mam soon so will have a few hours to myself ,

Morning Nanto.What a pretty graphic.

Rather grey here this morning .I did some sweeping up in the garden yesterday. We have a side path that catches all the leaves and debris. The narrow garden there is the toilet of choice for the local cats so I’m always having to clean up there.

I have a load of ironing to do that I must motivate myself to get started on.

Been feeling a bit sorry for myself for the last few days so I’m hoping the mood will soon move on.

Gem - enjoy your afternoon tea. I think that's a lovely idea and you all get to see each other. I'm glad you had chance to catch up with your friend, just the two of you. It's very difficult if one person takes over the conversations!

Oma - the fold up waterproofs are a good idea. I hate having to carry extra clothes round "just in case"! I must admit to having a little smile that your DS and GS2 are having a boys' day out today.

Clover - you don't have to do the ironing today, love. Why don't you give your DD a ring for a quick chat, and then pamper yourself a bit. It's important to look after yourself as well as caring for G. Sending hugs xxx

It's hazy bright here, too, and the forecast is for it to be cooler today. But if it stays dry I want to get out and do some more gardening.

Good morning, another lovely sunny day here. We overslept this morning, woke at 5, went back to sleep and the next thing it was 9.30!! DS was FaceTiming at 9.45 so I had to text him and put him off for a little while. Have spoken to them now and off to have my shower. I have a lovely black eye this morning, not a good look 😎

we are going over to DDs later. I’d invited them here for a meal tonight but she said no, we’ll,have a take away then neither of us has to cook......good idea.

Clover, leave the ironing, it will still be there tomorrow. As Daisy suggests, speak to you DD then do something for yourself, even if it’s just sitting with your feet up reading a book. ((Hugs)))

Being collected by GS3 later, we are not eating until 3pm. so I have just had a bowl of porridge. Must wrap up warm as there house is always a bit cool for me. Sil is fetching his mother about 12 so I shall see her before I go.

Clover as the others say, leave the ironing for another day and do what you fancy. Put your favourite music on, read a book. I wish one of our lovely friends lived nearer to you when you feel down. Hugs to you and Gerald.

I’ve been busy baking for our village Mothering Sunday Tea Party this afternoon. Ds1 will be bringing his family. Ds2 is cooking Sunday lunch for his in laws, he popped over this morning with a card and voucher for afternoon tea in Cambridge at Hotel du Vin. I shall look forward to that. DS1 bought flowers and promise of a treat at a later date as they have been busy celebrating his birthday! As the grandsons woke us early this morning I’ll be quite glad when the tea party is finished and I can curl up in front of the wood burner which we lit this morning as it’s chilly here, such a contrast to yesterday!

I havnt been on here as often as I’m used to , just been so busy with one thing or another, trying to pack, went out for a lovely walk in the park with Dd and family and then meal in a lovely restaurant yesterday, plus flowers and underwear she knows I need them lol
Today went to brunch at DS which was pleasant , they were going to the garden centre this afternoon we were as,ed but I couldn’t summon up the energy , they bought me a set of three lovely candles and Dove shower jel moisturiser and such , will have a nana nap this afternoon , hope you all get some enjoyable time today
