My goodness, what a windy day. Have been out to my Family History meeting this Mir I gotta and was nearly blown off my feet. It’s trying to rain too, so staying in and making a cake this afternoon.

I also want to sort out the spare room and do some more de cluttering.

Clover, hope you can enjoy the day together. πŸ’

Clover, that's what we said , why did it happen once the vets had closed?! Thank goodness for Saturday morning appointments. They fitted us in at 9.20, and she has been given a 3 day course of antibiotics and ant inflammatories, which will hopefully sort her out.

I have stayed in today apart from a quick trip to the local Sainsburys. I watched some TV with the fire on

It is brightening up a bit, OH and I are going to go to The Range to look for picture frames and maybe a lampshade

Spent a lovely day with my Trefoil friends from the County. Crafts this morning followed the AGM and then a talk from someone who did chaperoning children working in films and stage performances. She had met and worked with many famous people, Hugh Jackman was her favourite.

I hope your kitty feels better soon Gemini.

Oma, it would have taken me all day to do one door and I would have more paint on me than the door.

So windy here still, I stopped for petrol and nearly got blown off my feet.

Clover - I know things are hard, and in a way you must feel rather lonely, but you can reminisce with G about things you've shared over the years it might help a little. Hugs to both of you on this day which is still special. xx

Plant - what a lovely day! What crafts were on offer? I bet the chaperone had some interesting stories to tell.

Oma - you must paint at at least 100 mph to get all that done so quickly. I hope your poor overworked fingers forgive you.

Gem - so glad your elderly lady is ok. I'm sure she appreciated the fire on such a miserable day.

Enfys - it's blustery here as well! Did you get your decluttering done? It's on my "To Do" list!

We had a lovely time at OH's niece's. They live about half an hour away in Southampton, only a few minutes off the motorway. So we left about 11 - and got there just after 12! The road was blocked between us and the next village and we had to make a really long detour and go through Southampton itself, and it seemed at every turn there were more diversions and road works. And I hadn't got their phone number in my mobile! Still it was all ok and we had a lovely time with OH's eldest sister and her hubby who were down from North Wales, niece and her hubby and her sister, hubby and their two sons. Lots of laughter, celebrations from the mainly Welsh members of the family over the rugby, and a delicious lunch. Before we knew it it was 4 pm - too late to go shopping because of Eva! The journey home was fine - less than half an hour. The wind was still gusting - not very nice on the motorway. But at least the fence is still at the same crazy drunken angle!

Plant and Daisy, sounds like you both had a lovely day today.
After supermarket shopping this morning,i checked what we had in the freezer.
Didn't have any cottage pies or mince and onion pastry pies.
So cooked the 2 packs of mince i got while shopping.
            Pies will be made tomorrow.

The 2 cardigans i ordered from Damart arrived this morning. the pink one is a lovely colour.

Gem, i hope puss is ok. Good sign if she is eating and drinking.

                  Good morning Nan2, and others

                  Sunny here too.
Daisy I'm glad you had a nice time yesterday despite journey problems!
That sounds a lovely day for you Plant.

Poorly cat seems fine. We will watch her when the drugs wear off, around Tuesday, but so far so good. The vet advised us to slightly warm her water ,which we are doing

Nothing much planned today. Have a good one whatever you do!

                    Good morning everyone.

The sun is shining here, although it's not quite as golden as Nanto's cheery graphic. It's still quite cold and a bit windy, but feeling much better than the recent storms.

Oma - don't overdo the painting. Think about your poor hands. xx

Gem - glad kitty is feeling better.

It's one of those days where I've got a lot to do, but probably won't get much of it done! First load of washing is in, then I need to make bread, bake a cake and run the sucky up thing round. Eva is shedding fur so fast she'll be bald by the end of the week.

Have a good day - I hope the sun is shining for you as well.

Pies made and in the freezer.
4 cottage pies and 2 mince and onion pastry pies.

You busy ladies. Weather a bit better today thank goodness, the wind yesterday was dreadful. Dil said she will pop in to see me this morning, she hasn't seen my kitchen yet. Hoping to see GGS today too. I must start the process of clearing my bedroom so that I can give the decorator a date, not sure if he can work around the bed.

There will be a shortage of white gloss paint if you carry on like this Oma. Take care of those fingers.

Plant - does DIL like you new kitchen? Lovely - lots of cuddles if GGS is visiting.

Nanto - those pies look yummy!

Oma - did you have a good time this morning?

Gem - I hope you've made the most of relaxing today! I'm intrigued how you get a cat to drink slightly warm water. I haven't much direct experience but the cats I've looked after over the years always seem to prefer rain water in the garden or a dripping tap! Have I been looking after odd cats?

Well, I haven't done too badly today - lots of washing, including the bedding which is now dry and ready to go back on, filled the sucky up thing with dog hair, and even cut the lawn! It was lovely and sunny this morning so we decided we'd take Eva to the paddock for a run. Before we could even tell her the heavens opened and it poured! So we sat and had a coffee, and the rain stopped, the sun came out and we made a dash for it! The sun was lovely - until it started to hail! Luckily it wasn't much, so Eva had a good run round and burnt up some energy. After lunch I made bread and bara brith.

I’m late coming on here today! Still blowy and we had some rain this morning but I still managed to get a line of washing dry. FAceTimed DS this morning and heard his plans for when they come over in July, exciting......then DD popped in for coffee so that was the morning gone! Finally managed to get upstairs and start on my sorting out in the spare room. Reorganised all my family history stuff, sorted book shelves, cleared out a load of craft stuff for the charity shop so a good job done. Feeling very virtuous now πŸ˜‡

Hope you e all had a good day.

                              Nan2 that food looks yummy!
Daisy I don't think young cats drink much, but older ones seem to. Ours prefer it from a small glass, and there is one permanently situated on our bedroom windowsill We refresh this morning and night (with slightly tepid water now!) Also a water bowl in the kitchen with their food bowls.
                              You have been busy!
I hope you saw GGS Plant.

I have been organising the photos on my laptop over the last few days. It is long job, but if I do a bit most days, I will eventually get there!!
I decided to go to see my mum this afternoon. OH and I are both free tomorrow so that frees up the day if we want to go out. OH had a migraine this morning and was feeling a bit washed out so today wasn't the best day for us to go anywhere.
Mum was fine and we had a nice chat.
