He can open both the back and Kitchen doors but hasn't learned how to close them yet ,

Enfys, thanks for dropping in! Have a lovely time you two
Hoping all went smoothly for WG.
We had a nice day with GS and he and his sister had a manic happy time after tea, very giddy they were!
OH is making our tea. Glass of wine and feet up in front of the telly tonight.

Enfys - enjoy you little break. Plenty of relaxation, I hope.
WeeGranny - so pleased to hear you're back with us, even though a little woozy. I hope you can sleep ok tonight and you can go home tomorrow. xx
Oma - why do dogs like the door open even if they're curled up on the sofa!!!
Gen - that sounds a fun day, but I'm sure you were ready to relax with your feet up.
Mimi - we like Devon, too, especially the north coast.
Exciting day for us! We bought a new bird feeder, after ours collapsed yesterday! Also got DIL1 a standard Olive tree as part of her birthday present, knowing how she loves olives. Then I read the label - ornamental only, don't eat the olives!! But a friend says you can eat them if you do something or other to them first. He thought it was a bit like kidney beans which need to be boiled first. Have any clever grannies got olive experience, please?
It was pouring with rain when we got back, so we had a quick lunch and then took Eva for a run - she was more than ready and tired herself out quite quickly. Me, too!

Very good morning, Nanto. How did you get that photo of me relaxing in my dressing gown and pink bunny slippers with my first cuppa of the day?
It's dull and nippy here. Please can we have Spring back!
We're going to DS1 and DIL's for DIL's late birthday lunch. I'll have to get my skates on as I promised to take an apple pie. I've made the pastry but need to get it in the oven. I think DS1 is doing the main course - I hope so anyway!
Whatever you're doing, have a good day.
Wee Granny - I hope you're feeling a bit better.
Enfys - enjoy your break. Whereabouts in Devon are you?

Not long now Nan2 if you are buying your euros
Daisy my GD was saying the self same thing about Spring yesterday. I hope you all have a good birthday lunch.
Enfys, I hope the sun shines in Devon. If not I know it will be lovely to be away anyway
WG, I hope you are not in too much pain today.
This morning I am going, with DD1 to see GS1 in the studio part of the theatre. A play from his Saturday drama group, based on Robert Louis Stevenson's poem Under the Counterpane. GD told me he read the whole script to her last week, so she feels as though she had seen it
I will do the small amount of shopping auntie needs, and a bit for us, on the way back. Over to aunties with that, then we are babysitting for GS1 at his house tonight. I say tonight, but DD wants to get the train to Leeds before 5! We will have to set off from our house not long after 4. Busy day!
Have a good one everyone.

Gem - is that the poem which starts "When I was sick and lay a-bed, I had two pillows at my head, and all my toys beside me lay to keep me happy all the day" ? I remember learning that as a very young child and acting it out when I was ill!! I hope you all enjoy it. You have got a busy day! Enjoy it.
