      Good morning ladies all.
Nan2, the rain has actually stopped here at last, but who knows for how long?!

      Yesterday's lunch sounds perfect Daisy

Today is a free one for me, having seen mum and done her weekly shop yesterday.
I plan to visit my auntie. I haven't see her for over a week. Her DS and DIL have been staying, so I knew she had company and was shopped for. Time for a catch up today, and find out if their house sale has finally gone through.
Golf for OH later. I think the course will be soggy.

      Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, Nanto and everyone who arrives later.

I think we had our share of rain yesterday. It's dry at the moment.

I've just spent half an hour trying to get online! Our internet connection is more like an internet disconnection! The powers that be have been batting the problem from one faceless, useless bureaucratic organisation to another for the last 6 or 7 years, and meanwhile the problem gets worse. It's always worse after heavy rain when our useless aluminium cables have got wet and don't work. Grrrrr .....

Anyway, we are going out later for a tour of our local oil refinery. We know how to live! I've been before, many years ago with students, and I worked at an oil refinery for a while, but OH has never been and someone's organised a trip, so I'm going to be re-educated about what all those pipes and tanks are for!

Oh have fun Daisy! Will it involve lunch or at least coffee out?

Gem - not lunch, but hopefully a cup of coffee! I really don't know. When I went with students it was for 'educational' purposes, I suspect this is more about keeping the locals onside for any future developments at the site.

Enjoy your free day - I'm sure your aunt will be delighted to see you. I hope OH's golf isn't cancelled because of the soggy course.

Raining here again. We weren’t planning on going out today but P has decided that the new jacket he bought the other day is a bit tight....I did say that in the shop....so want to exchange it for the bigger size. Sigh.......

Daisy, re the Men’s Shed........ yesterday they were talking about the projects they want to do but mainly they want to find a bigger venue. He just enjoys the chat and the different ideas the other have, he says some don’t know one end of a saw from the other but he gets on ok with them.

Nice to have a new piece of furniture Qwerty. We have an old Lloyd Loom chair in the bedroom, I keep saying I’m going to get rid of it but it’s the right size and looks nice with the cushions on it, And it was my Grandmas so I think I’ll keep it. The kids can get rid of it when we’ve gone 🙂

              Have a good day everyone.

Enfys - the rain has just reached us as well. What a nuisance having to change P's jacket, but better to get it done now so he can start wearing it.

Lovely morning here atm but Alexa says we should expect showers. I should be going to Aqua this morning but got up a bit late and the instructor who is stepping in to take the class is more of a keep fit instructor and I am not keen. I will spend some time moving stuff back and I need to pop out for a few bits.

Chair sounds nice Qwerty, whose side of the bed is it?

Enfys I like Lloyd Loom chairs with a nice cushions on them. Shame about the jacket.

Daisy enjoy your trip, they probably are sweetening up the locals.

Wee Granny, will be thinking of you.

Jacket changed ok, bigger one much better. Then we stopped for coffee and cake at the garden centre.

Missed a call from DS in Australia whilst we were out, he rang back just now. They are coming over in July! Can’t wait to see them all again 😀. They are spending some time here with us then taking DGS to Europe, a nice trip for them and they will miss their winter.

What a lovely surprise Enfys! Certainly something to look forward to and July's not that far away.

Had to take OH's car back to garage this morning because it still wasn't very well. They've had to phone Technical services at Ford because they can't work out what 's causing the problem. Came back to message from hospital, could I come in for another blood test because the other one had haemotised(?). So spent the morning drinking water and off I went. Veins more cooperative today, thank goodness!

Just had to rush and get washing in as it's started to rain. Very strong winds too and not very warm.

Thank you all for your good wishes!

Enjoy the rest of the day x

Very windy and cold here, just popped out to M&S Food Hall and Hobbycraft and I was frozen when I got back. My old cupboard doors were not easy to clean, I think these will be better. Just one more cupboard to fill, gave that one a good scrub out ready for the saucepans etc to go back. I found some things in a cupboard, I don't know what they are attachments for. I have put them in a top cupboard just in case.

What a shame about the blood specimen WG, at least the veins gave it up more easily today.

That is a nice surprise Enfys, not too long to wait.

Afternoon all. It’s very windy here and not exactly warm with it.
My back is a lot better today, it’s the first time in over a week that I haven’t had to take painkillers.

WeeGranny sending you lots of good wishes for tomorrow.

Oma we have a huge freezer and it’s full to the top with food and so we ever fancy anything in it , no not all , we had a ham roll yesterday .

It was lovely seeing GD on her birthday yesterday, she is so grownup and her brother, oldest GS , how he has grown. I hugged him and reached up to kiss his cheek and I ended up kissing his chest ! How do they do that, how do they grow so fast over a few weeks?

Bring me sunshine in your smile.
