Daisy....your GD2 might like this poem about chickenpox. My Yr 2s used to love it when I read it to them. It's too long to write out here but it's called Chicken Spots and it's by Peter Dixon. It's in Scholastic Collections Poetry compiled by Wes Magee, but I'm sure Google will find it for you! Hope GD2's feeling better today.

It's been a long hard day today with a very subdued GD2 and a crazy dog who wondered why I wasn't free to play ball all day! Then Mum and Dad were delayed leaving work so I was very late getting home and didn't have time to cook dinner before OH had to go out to a meeting. So I've put a chicken casserole in the oven and we'll eat when he gets back! Then I think it will be Goundhog Day tomorrow, plus dog training. At least I should sleep like a log!!!

Feeling a bit grotty this morning. had a splitting headache all night.
Kept going to the loo every hour, so not a very good night.

This morning is the first committee meeting since the AGM, and the first with no treasurer. I was discussing this with the librarian when I was on the library bus, and she said she was going to look into whether or not we can continue if we have no treasurer

I am going to pick up my new glasses at 1. Apart from that no plans today.

Glad you are ‘coming to’ a bit Nan2. It must be the day for it...my guts are squeaking and squawking this morning so I have made myself some porridge. That should sort it out.
Just put Chili in the slow cooker, not sure that is a wise choice though. 😬
Fighting the good fight with a memory stick and my embroidery machine at present, DD2 has my laptop (normally I can link that with the machine) so I have to work with a stick and I’m stuck! Also I am making a clutch bag with some leather I found on a brief case which was dumped by the church, and redoing the neck on a top I made which doesn’t sit right.
The sun is out so I may just abandon everything and do gardening instead.

Good morning, lovely sunny day here so far. Off to get my hair cut soon so a nice walk across the park. Hope you feel better soon Nan2.

We had a really good day yesterday. Went to,the farm shop which was a bit disappointing really but we had a nice coffee in the little cafe than went on to Wimborne, a little market town near us. Had a good walk around, DH managed to find a new jacket, he’s been wanting one for ages so was very happy especially as it was half price in the sale. Then he suggested lunch out, well,that’s an offer I can’t refuse. He did really well with all the walking, I think these couple of weeks off chemo is doing him good. That was the longest we’d been out in over a year!

Might do a bit more in the garden this afternoon, must make the most of the nice weather.

Good morning everyone. It is Groundhog Day here, so I’m grabbing a minute to say hello. Cooper is snoring and GD2 is playing on her Fire. It won’t last long!

WeeGranny - I couldn’t find Chicken Spots on the internet, but I did find other poems of his and they are excellent - I think both girls will love them so I’ll order a couple of his books. Thank you for the intro. 👍

Gd2 must be feeling a bit better, she’s just demolished three slices of toast and Nutella. 😁

Good morning all. The planned trip to the cinema didn't happen as I looked at the wrong day and time ! It started at 11am and we were still at home, never mind I have planted some seed potatoes instead … every cloud …..
