Good morning everyone. Nanto and Mimi - great minds think alike - choosing the same graphic.

Nanto - I agree about decorating - it gets harder and it's time to give up when you prefer to crawl along the floor painting the skirting board than to stand up and take a few steps to get to the next section. Don't overdo it - the paint will keep.

Gem, I'm glad your arm feels a bit better. Don't overdo the driving. I hope the weather is better your way - it's pouring with rain and blowing a gale here. I'm having trouble using the computer because our great scardey-cat lump of a dog is trying to climb on my lap because the wind is howling round!

Avo - how is your GS? I'm sure he's getting lots of attention, bless him.

We've got nothing much planned for today, although there are lots of things I could be doing. A day to be lazy and get on with reading my book, I think. I've just started Me before You by JoJo Moyles - I must be the only person in the country who hasn't already read it!

      Good moaning each!
Daisy, I hope you enjoy the book. The two that follow are good reads too. (The Girl you Left Behind and Still Me.)
We are being very lazy here today. Yesterday was Gs’s 4th birthday and he chose to go to Adventure Island with his cousins. We had the birthday tea here which was lovely and today we are jiggered!
I am sorry to read of all the ailments. I shall call all the feel better vibes and send them on.
Mimi, I was heartened to hear about OH and the groceries. This is the reason I never ask OH to empty the dishwasher. I can never find things when he does.
Very wet and windy here, I shall not be going out.
Enjoy what is left of today, folks.

Thank you Grauntie. I've only read a couple of chapters but I like her style of writing.

My OH has solved the problem of where to put things when he empties the dishwasher. He leaves them on the worktop - in case he puts them in the wrong place! We've lived with this kitchen for 20 years and nothing's moved its resting place. I think it's just an excuse.

Morning ladies my day yesterday didn’t go as planned as in relaxing, I rang my dil to see what time we should arrive and there was chaos in the house dil said they were driving DS to distraction and he had a very grumpy face 😡, so volunteered to bring them to my house for a few hours, we painted and did iPad stuff and had a picnic on the lounge floor, called at my nephews on the way back to DS and arrived in time for tea , which was curry Oma and I took afters , this morning I feel bloated and nursing a hangover due to one and half glasses of red wine I’m a lightweight these days .Dil got me some coffee she gets from a special place I forgot to take it home so they’ve been this morning blimey they are a lively lot

            Afternoon ladies
feel a bit woolie headed today . Tried the sleeping tablets last night . Didn't let me sleep right through but kept me relaxed enough to stay in bed , I was to woozy to get up
Maybe need to take them a little earlier before bed maybe then I won't feel so drowsy on a morning

Yes Oma, that might be the best plan to take them earlier to hopefully avoid the woozy head.

My sickness was quite quickly over thanks Qwerty, must have been something I ate (that dodgy prawn) Red wine can give me a headache Qwerty.

Well they enjoyed the roast but both gs’s were little monsters! We had a tantrum on the afternoon walk, they were naughty with their toys and mummy and daddy were almost at the end of their tether so they left here early. What a pity but boys will be boys! Injured arm is not causing pain now fortunately.

Well today didn't go as expected.
Dad rang about 3ish, asking me to go round, mam was poorly.
I think she had a bit of vertigo, she was dizzy and kept being sick.
Managed to get her to bed,and after a couple of hours, she started to perk up a bit.
She tends to panic, and think is this it, is it the end.
Got home an hour ago,and i was shattered.
It's surprising how it takes it out of you.

Avo, sorry to hear the boys weren't on their best behaviour.

Oh poor MIL Nan2. You put your feet up now, that sort of thing does tire you, it's the stress.

Between Qwerty's twins and Avo's boys and Gem's GS2, I think there must be something in the air! Perhaps it's having summer snatched away from them and going back to winter. It's been truly horrible today -pouring rain, howling wind, and in our house, terrified doggo.

Nanto - I do hope Mam is ok and gets a good night's sleep. It sounds as though you need it too.

I got quite a bit done, but also managed to put my feet up for a couple of hours after lunch. Then I went and made banana cake and did a beef stir fry for dinner as that's what OH had bought when he did some shopping yesterday.

It's an early start for me tomorrow. Poor little GD2 has chickenpox (or as she calls it 'the poxes). I had a chat with her this afternoon and she seems quite cheerful and not as poorly as her sister was when she had it. I've said she can choose whether to stay at her house tomorrow or come over to ours. Her mum says she's been a bit bored today with not being able to go out.

Aww, poor little GD Daisy. She may like to go to your house for a change of scene.

I will be busy tomorrow. I am lookingl after GS1 tomorrow instead of Tuesday. I will be going to GS's school by bus and train so will have to allow a lot longer than the 45 minutes I usually do. It is his swimming class too, so we will walk there and back. DD warns me it's very hot so to wear layers. I remember that from hours spent watching DD3's classes!

Gem - you re going to a busy bee. Why are you going by bus and train - have I missed something, or am I being nosey?

I don't feel safe to drive there because of my wrist Daisy. It's via a stretch of busy dual carriageway, then a windey single lane road and several large roundabouts. I managed the drive to mum's and back, but it's a lot closer.
