A very quick 'hello' from me while I'm waiting for a pot of tea to brew. It's a glorious sunny day and quite warm - in fact very warm after a couple of hours gardening. We finally pruned the apple trees, despite much help from cooper. Eva sat on the table and watched, basking in the sunshine. A quick cuppa now and then I'm off to collect GD2. They were both a bit tearful going back to school this morning.

I'm sorry I can't stop to comment at the moment, but all you poorly people and OHs are in my thoughts. xxx

I’m late reporting for duty today, it’s been one of those days !
Ive made the most of the glorious sun shine and got a few jobs done out side. I cleaned out the grow house and put some trays of flower seeds in there. Tided up the strawberry plants and gave the potting bench a good clean.
Then I attempted to do some jobs inside but what with phone calls and two delivery packages ( both for DS ) it has taken me ages to do very little. Given it up as a bad job so I will start afresh tomorrow!

Enfys sad sad to hear that P is having such a hard time .

Oma do you think the thinning of your hair could be delayed stress from when B was unwell. Stress is a funny thing you know, it’s not always when you are going through a tough time that it shows , sometimes it’s when you start to relax a little.

Hope all our ‘ extended family and friends ‘ are soon going to feel so much better

Hi all a fab weather day again , then it goes pear shaped, I went with OH to drop the car off for it’s respray fine , we then caught the bus home it’s about a 15 min ride fine, got to our road and OH said have you got the house keys, nope, we had left them in the car along with the fob to turn the alarm off😫 I always put them in a little compartment in the car and it was just habit never gave it a thought . Rang dil they have a spare key , no answer, I knew she was home as it was time to pick the kids up , rang DS he never answers at work, tried dil mobile and got through , I told her we were locked out have you got the key, no it’s on DS key ring at work 😏 come up and have a cuppa till he gets home. We can’t I said we havnt got the car 😜 so eventually she came and collected us good job the weather was ok and we sat and waited in the garden , DS got home and Dil dropped us back at home , luckily I had put a chicken casserole in the oven on a very low light 🤗
MOT for OH seemed to have gone ok, he had to take in the proverbial sample and has to wait for the results, his breathing wasn’t too good COPD , blood pressure was up but gave it a few mins and it came down somewhat, he told her he felt fine so I think he’s got the all clear apart from the sample 🙂
I have made an appointment for the doctors but couldn’t get in till Friday but the week will pass I suppose
Have a good evening everybody especially our sick people let’s hope for a better day tomorrow

Oma I’ve always had thin hair very fine, but when I started with an under active thyroid it was my eyebrows and lashes that suffered most , good luck there

Qwerty.Good news on OH’s MOT. Shame you can’t get an appointment before Friday but that’ll soon come.

What a palaver over the keys. Glad it all sorted itself out eventually.

Qwerty - when one thing goes wrong everything else does too, especially with keys!!! Thank goodness it wasn't freezing cold and raining. Good news that you OH seems to have passed his MOT. Hopefully there will be some solutions for you when you go to the doctors on Friday.

Oma - That's a lovely picture - they're a good-looking bunch, and I like to see personality in photos. It sounds as though DS and family's house move will be very convenient for all of them. School catchment areas are so important these days. I feel very strongly there should be no need for league tables etc - all schools should - and could - be excellent.

Mimi - you have been a busy girl today! I hope you're sitting relaxing now.

Plant - did you go to bowls this afternoon? I think I would have stayed home and enjoyed the lovely day.

Mimi, well done on starting things in your greenhouse. OH loves hers but it always takes her some time to start with it each year.
Oma, how nice to see all 3 of your GC together.
Qwerty, the key episode sounds like something I would do!
Plant, my auntie went bowling for as long as she could and enjoyed it very much. When they stopped they continued to meet up for lunch every month. Sadly she is the only one left now.
Daisy, I hope your girls had a good first day back at school.

Dentist for me this morning. I can feel a hole in a back tooth. I noticed it not long after my last check up, so I'm guessing she dislodged something! I'm hoping it will be a simple job and she can just fill it.
I am meeting my friends C and P for coffee this afternoon. OH will probably join us after golf.
We are having such a lovely week for half term there

Morning ladies I have been up since 6 am neither of us could sleep so today I did an Oma and ironed, cleaned kitchen, hoovered and dusted, washed bathroom floor , we have 3 internal doors with stained glass panels and since the sun has started shining I realised they needed a good clean so cleaned both sides that’s 12 sides so feeling mighty righteous as it’s only 9.20 😊 Later I am making celery and apple soup 🍵
Oma what a fab pic, lovely children the boys have very dark hair don’t they, lovely to take a peek at them .
When you miss an odd day on here it does take a lot of catching with posts and I don’t have enough hours in the day sometimes, if I miss someone who needs support it’s not that I don’t give it I find out about it a bit late sorry 😐
Collecting the car hopefully today , it’s an awkward place to get to so catching the bus its free and it’s a £10 taxi fare no contest ! , to be honest it was lovely to go to dil and have a cuppa and catch up for an hour so good things come out of a pair of idiots , tomorrow it’s fish and chips I ain’t staying in another day 😀

Qwerty , I had to laugh sorry , I could just imagine the two of you looking at each other realising neither had the key and sitting like two gnomes waiting for DIL

The photo is strange as GS1 has dark hair , GS2 is Ginger & GD is a light brown so it doesn't really show

Gem hope its not a big job at the Dentist and not expensive either , I need a check up but I will leave it till next month I think no hurry .

Nanto we said the same lovely sun shine but a bit fresh .

B gone to our local hospital for his pre op check for Hernia that hasn't even been arranged yet , its stupid anything could happen before then so its wated time ,
I was going with him as usual but decided to stay and get on with some jobs ,

Like Qwerty I have cleaned all inside of windows and all the mirrors , window cleaner came yesterday and did outside so inside was looking a bit grubby ,
I have a light load on I will get them done and dried and iron after lunch ,

Had a good clean around , found lots of little finger prints from last night The mirror on my Wardrobe door was covered as they had all been playing hide and seek and the sliding door wardrobes are GD's to go to place even though we all know where she is everyone has to still pretend we looking for her

Feeling lazy today, still not showered. Not sure what to do today, fancy a browse around the shops, housework can wait for a dull day. Windows could do with a clean but one can't clean them with the sun on them!
