That's a dangerous thing to do Grauntie, once you set eyes on it you will be bringing it home.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.
A frosty start here but the sun is just beginning to appear.
DD3 and SIL have their tickets booked home from Canada. May 3rd. Apparently flights in April are far more expensive, so it makes sense to wait. They will have been gone 11 months.
GS1 from school today, golf for OH.

DD1 has just found out that there is an assembly on internet safety at GS's school today at 2.20. As I normally pick him up just after 3, it is only matter of me going a bit earlier.
DD warned him that is is likely no one from his family well be be able to come, so his little face will light up when he sees me“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

No plans for me until this evening when I will be with my Guiding friends. I have to decide if I am going to do cleaning or sewing, I think the sewing will win.
Enjoy your day out Qwerty, nice lunch and perhaps a walk will be good.

Well you all sound busy. When I wrote that I hoped you were all sleeping, I thought there might be one Gran who wouldn't be & I was right Oma. Good luck for B's scan.
Not long now til your DD is back in hugging distance Gem. Qwerty, Cannon Hall Farm is one of my favourite places to visit. Good café & the meat & potato pie is delish. I follow the farmer's live feed & they seem a lovely family. Enjoy.
Off to have my hair trimmed now & not much after that."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Qwerty, I hope you both enjoy your outing and lunch. It sounds like a good place to visit.
I wonder if there’s a cat with a new home now!!! Grauntie?
Gem your GS1 will be so pleased to see you. It’s good to see schools taking internet safety so seriously. Oma will be wishing for your DD3 to come home as much as you because of her lovely cruise.
Oma, I bet GS1 is excited about going to New York. What a fantastic school trip.
It’s my usual busy Tuesday here. GD2 has gone back to school today. She was excited ! GD1 is playing in a football tournament this morning. I don’t think they’re very well prepared for it, but she went off very proudly in her school football kit.

Good afternoon all.
Oma what a treat, school trip to New York , how exciting. When I was at school a trip to St Fagans in Cardiff. It was a 60 mile trip from our school to there. It seemed like a long way to go on a school trip back then , how times are changed .
The thing is when I lived in Barry we would often pop to St Fagans as an afternoon out, I moved back to Hereford and I was a little disappointed to discover where the school trip was
OH has mentioned going there for a day out this summer and I think 55 years on it might be quite nice.
Spoke to DD on the phone this morning and she said that GS, aged 8 has taken an interest in tennis and when she told him that nanny was rather good at it when she was in school he told her that he would challenge nanny to a match... oh my poor back ….. !
Hope everyone is well
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Oma My GD went on a school trip to New York a year or so ago. They had a great time but very basic accommodation which didn’t really matter as they were out and about all the time, seeing all the sights
Mimi,we have often been to St Fagans but not recently.A wonderfully interesting place with lots of old Welsh buildings that have been physically moved from their original locations. Also a museum and old house.
Qwerty I hope you both enjoy your day out and J feels better for it
Gem,a lovely surprise for GS.It’s exciting you have a date for your DD’s return. You can start crossing the days off now you have a definite date
Work for me this morning and my Tesco delivery has just been put away.Plenty of things I should be doing but I’m not going too

Been to do my usual reading session at school, but they were all going to watch the KS 1 performance, so I finished early!
Oh out, so house nice and quiet!
Date for my op came through today, Friday 8th March, so not long to wait.
Mimi....I think it was you who asked what I was having done...it's a Lumbar Decompression to free nerves. As I have a bit of scoliosis (?) I might in the future need some fusing, but as my bones are quite healthy he doesn't want to do that yet. May take up to 6 weeks to get back to normal. Best start giving OH some cookery lessons before then.
My scan came back with nothing extra than what I already knew about. Pain is likely to be mechanical...whatever that may mean! Nothing needs to be done. It'll be interesting to see if the pain goes after my op.
Enjoy Shetland tonight ladies......and just remember the Jimmy Perez is MINE !!!!Believe you can and you're halfway there.
