Good afternoon ladies. Windy this afternoon,as they said it would be.
We didn't have a roast today.
I did mashed potatoes with turnip/swede,battered chicken breast,carrots and green beans.
Done the ironing,i don't mind doing it.
Gem,hope the freezer moving and bathroon cleaning goes well.

The sun is shining after a rainy start to the day, but OH tells me rain is forecast for later!

Just back from having lunch out and now not feeling inclined to do anything! We went to a pub we'd never been to before and were very impressed by the food, service etc. Roast beef followed by sticky toffee pudding and a couple of glasses of prosecco......very nice too! Shan't need anything to eat for the rest of the day! Sunday papers waiting to be read...the rest can wait until tomorrow!

Catch up with DS later this evening, don't think we've spoken since Christmas! GS wants to go and visit him in the Summer with us, but waiting for DD to give us dates when he can go.

Nana.... Waitrose and Sainsbury( I think) do spatchcock chicken. Handy for a quick meal as they don't take long to cook.

It's my 'wee' brother's 69th birthday today......feel very old having a brother that age !

We are having something similar to you for tea Nan2, but baked potato not mash this time.

No freezer was moved. This was not our decision. We tidied the garage and took a way a lot of stuff for the tip and I gave the bathroom a mini clean, so now it isn't a health hazard!

Just read on another forum that someone has bought another freezer.
She wants to get stocked up for Brexit.
Also seen that there will be a shortage of eggs come Brexit.
Can't see us having a shortage of eggs myself.

Quite a full day here. Visiting the tip with stuff from my mum's garage, delivering leaflets for my lib dem councillor friend, going back to the carpet shop with our decision, then work for me late afternoon. My last remaining regular client likes his treatment which is every 3 or 3 weeks, at 4.30. This is nice for him as he then has his meal and a relaxing evening. Not so good for me as I return home in the slow tea time traffic!

Off to surgery for a routine blood test. I did say I have never been asked for one of those before and the receptionist was surprised! 😳 Is it because I am 70 I wonder? Will ask about shingles jab while I’m there.
The sun is about in Essex but still blowy.
Cards with the ladies this afternoon, always good for a laugh and I could do with some of that!

Very frosty but very sunny here. Bowls for me this afternoon then Embroidery Group this evening. DS and Dil have spent the weekend visiting their son at Birmingham University, I think they must have visited every pub there, they posted from every pub where they had a drink or food. I didn't recognise any that we had eaten at.

Good morning from a very harassed Daisy. My petals are all ruffled😨. Poor GD2 is still poorly and not fit to go to school so I’m at their house. Cooper has been sick this morning and I’ve had to bring Eva with me as OH is out most of the day. So the dogs are running round like loonies and GD wants to paint! I’ve persuaded her to colour in the handle of the Roman sword she made at the weekend, using felt tip pens. Her sister is doing a project on the Romans and has gone in to school dressed as a Roman centurion in protest that girls weren’t allowed to be soldiers!

I’ll try and read everyone’s posts if I can persuade them all to have a nap late4 on.

Morning all. It’s a lovely sunny day here and I have been able to hoe around the daffs in the front garden boarder, got up a surprising amount of weeds while I was there. My back is protesting now but if I paid attention to it all the time I would never get anything done.

Grauntie OH had a check up when he was 7o which seemed pointless to us as he has a checkup with the heart clinic every year which carries out the same tests, but who are we to argue with the powers that be.

Nana thanks for the ear worm it will replace the one OH has been humming all morning
