Good morning everyone. It's calm, bright and not too cold here - so far.

Enfys - what sad news about your neighbour. I am so sorry, and I can understand how hard it has hit both of you, even more so with P's hospital appointment today. Sending you hugs.

Nana - I hope your blood test goes ok. Waiting for results is the worst part, isn't it. Oma - I hope your results are ok, too.


Today I have to get a present wrapped for a friend I'll see later, before she goes away for Christmas. I made chicken casseroles yesterday so only the chilli con carne ones to make today. I want to get the beds made up ready for Saturday and then Boxing Day. We didn't finish putting up our decorations last night, so that's another job on my list, plus some washing. It's typical though, my back is being very unco-operative. It had almost recovered from the last bad spell but yesterday it started again. I don't know what I did but by last night I was hobbling round like an old woman. Ooops - I suppose that's what I am!!

Oh that was sad news for you Enfys Even sadder at that time of year. Keep your spirits up though. Several friends of my OH have gone since she was diagnosed 10 years ago and she is still here xx


This morning I am meeting A (DD3's best friend and like a 4th daughter to me for years) for coffee. Not seen her since March when they left the UK for the 2nd time, and we had no idea then when we would see them again. Looking forward to seeing her
This afternoon I am collecting GS1 from school. This is a swap for Tuesday so that I could be at mums for the gas fire thing that afrernoon. DD1 is doing mum's shopping instead of me and going with her to take my sister's presents and cards. Being with GS is a whole lot easier than being with mum, so I feel as though I am having a day off

Morning ladies feeling much better, you know that feeling when you realise Oohh I feel a bit better and your coughing spasms become longer gaps between and you think Im getting better , well that’s where I am now . Daisy your poor back I think mine was with coughing I just have a hint of it in the middle of my back now
I am sorry to hear about your neighbour Enfys it does shake you into reality doesn’t it, but P will come round in time but you could have done without it I know
Dd has been really good finished my Xmas shopping and done my online shop for me , eating bland food so it doesn’t bother my reflux and taking it easy, guess a lot of you are busy busy I shall be taking it easy till the weekend ,catching up on posts 😀

Busy Morning , we went to Morrisons and Lidl then hand car wash ,just got back when Martin called in they were on way to Mams , they had just left when my Niece turned up , she has just left so we may get some lunch now before anyone else turns up

Daisy I do hope your back is feeling better. My OH used to get bad backs but always sat on a upright dining chair after he had been gardening.

Pleased to hear your cough seems to be on the way out Qwerty, just in time for the festivities.

Just leaping in in case you forget who I am! After today I can relax a bit! I am currently babysitting at DD2s house as she has some work today. J (6) isn’t feeling well, but just well enough to torment his 3 year old brother🙄 The Christmas Shark Song is now beginning to get on my nerves and I have playdough stuck to my jeans and slippers. 😁 Haven’t had a chance to catch up but I will.

GM hope you are enjoying your child minding.
We had a cuppa earlier and sampled some of the fruit cakes i made yesterday.
Hubby said it was very nice,now that is praise indeed. If he thinks something isn't too good,he usually says its edible.

Well, after a very long wait due to an emergency we finally saw the doctor. She was pleased with out things were going and that DH feels so much better. His bloods were good so they are continuing with the chemo as before. They are keeping him on the lower dose for now but will review it next time. She said best not to overload his system too soon. So all good. Also he was due to start the tablets again in Christmas Day but she said it would be fine to delay them by a couple of days, he’s happy about that as it means he can have a drink on Christmas Day 🍷
