Enfys, I’m sure both you and P and your old friends will be a great support for each other. Cheers. I’ll join you with a sherry later. 😉

Qwerty, so glad you enjoyed the twins' Nativity play.

Oma and Nanto - sweet dreams tonight.

Plant, poor DD. I hope she’s better for Christmas.

Mimi. Thank goodness that asbestos was removed safely.

Must let Cooper out. Back later.

What a terrible day weatherwise. It was cold but dry in town.
When we came out of the supermarket at ½past 2, it was raining and was dark as night.

Gem,i spoke to the doctor about not sleeping a few years ago. he wanted to send me for counselling.
I told him i wanted sleep not counselling. he did give me some sleeping tablets for 2 weeks.
Wouldn't give me more, because he said they were highly addictive.
Oma,i have been told that the original Nytol leaves you drowsy the next day.
The ones i use are Numark sleeping aid. I get them from our local pharmacist.
I don't feel drowsy the next day. It says take 20 minutes before going to bed. I find it takes about an hour to kick in,but they do work.

We just have heavy rain Oma.
I'm so glad you and P are feeling more like Christmas Enfys. I think you are both amazing 🙂
          What dramas Mimi 😮

DD1 and GS1 are poorly, some sort of virus ☹️

The trees are up! 6 foot real one in living room, small artificial one in hallway.
It all took me longer than planned as I had a bad IBS attack this morning, giving me tummy and back pain and nausea. Luckily it improved after a few hours then I was able to get on.

I am thanks Oma. Didn't have much lunch and just about to eat dinner. I will take a Buscupan to ward off any further trouble.

Sorry I didn't finish my post earlier. Every time I tried to use my iPad Cooper thought her should help! I gave up in the end, then came home about 6 pm and got dinner, did another couple of loads of washing and prepared some dog food. I've just sat down, shattered and off to bed soon.

Oh dear, Gem, you don't need IBS at this time of the year, and I'm sure your DD and DS1 are fed up being poorly when there's so much going on.

Enfys - did your friends at your family history group recognise your baby photo?

Oma - I hope you get some sleep tonight and feel better tomorrow. You must be exhausted. Do you think you could give yourself a day off from chores tomorrow and have a bit of a rest? xx

Mimi - I bet the neighbours were expecting an armed police response to all the warnings about the asbestos! Have you filled all the cupboards yet?

It's poured with rain all day today. We thought it was easing off a bit at lunch time so took Eva up to the paddock, but it's more exposed there and the wind was blowing the rain horizontal. There's quite a bit of flooding on the roads, too.

Good morning everyone, it doesn’t seem as cold as yesterday but then I am still in bed drinking a cup of tea.

Daisy I do have more cupboards than before so I have extra space which at the moment I am using for my Christmas ‘ goodies ‘.

Oma, how did you sleep, Daisy is right, step away from the household chores and have a rest, call it a Christmas present for yourself.

Gem, how is the tummy today.

I put our decs up on Friday as the kitchen was being painted and OH had gone to have a Christmas drink with his mates so it gave me something to do. Last year we said we would buy a new tree but as we have just brought a new tumble dryer and dining table and chairs and add to that the cost of Christmas we thought we could do without the extra expense. The tree we have is fairly old and not looking as good as I would like but now it has the baubles and lights on it looks really nice. Perhaps we will buy one after Christmas when they will most probably be reduced, but then I am not the sort of person who tends to buy Christmas reduced items for the following year. My SIL buys all her cards, wrapping paper and a few presents in the after Christmas sales, she says she saves a lot of money that way.
After talking with OH about not spending any more unnecessarily money, what does he go and do, book a three course Christmas meal for the two of us on Tuesday, he said it’s a Christmas treat for us after all the kerfuffle of the last two weeks bless him.
I’m not cooking a Sunday lunch today, we are having bacon risotto instead.

Hope evryone is well well and enjoy what is left of the weekend

                        Good morning Nan2 and Mimi.
It felt cold here when I got up to feed the cats and make our morning tea.
Yesterday where I live was several degrees colder than where my daughter is in Nova Scotia!
Mimi, my tum is much better today thank you. I think that meal out for you and OH is well deserved!

Today present wrapping is on the agenda. I will go to see both my auntie and mum this afternoon. I probably won't see auntie again until after Christmas as her son and DIL arrive on Tuesday. I will pop in on 27th, with flowers for her 90th birthday though!

Have a good Sunday everyone, and keep warm and dry.

Same here Mimi. Until I get them all together and wrapped, I can't be certain I haven't missed anything

Good morning, everyone. A much nicer day here today - calm and dry. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

I need to get all the presents together and start wrapping. It's funny how you lose track of what you've got even if you have a list! I know I've got a couple more to get.

I've just ironed the landing curtains I washed yesterday. We want new ones but haven't got time to get them before Christmas and the GSs are here for a sleepover next Saturday. Our neighbours across the road have got lots of Christmas lights which they leave on all night and it lights up our house - I know GS1 won't sleep unless I can shut the light out! So we'll have to make do with the old ones.

I'm getting as much done as I can today as it's going to be a busy week. OH has a hospital appointment tomorrow. He's seeing the Consultant so we don't know how long we'll be, then I'll have to go over to pick up Cooper and the girls after school. Tuesday is my usual busy day, and, hopefully, I'll have Wednesday and Thursday to get ready for Christmas, which will start on Saturday in our house. It's GD1's carol service on Friday morning, so I'm going to that and then will pick Cooper up because it's DS2 and DIL's last day in the shop and they will be a tad busy! Then the boys arrive on Saturday and Christmas begins, ready or not!!!
