Morning ladies I never really got on here yesterday we had friends called in for coffee in the morning and I had arranged in my head to have lunch out, so went to the out of town shopping mall I desperately need a waterproof warm coat for picking the kids up, found one in Debenhams it was quite expensive and like the idiot that I am, I had a voucher for £20 got to the desk to pay it and I left it at home gggrrr. Why didn’t I buy it online when I got home ????? So £75 lighter
I’m over it now so pottering about washing conservatory floor and tv room which is wood, in time for furniture arriving tomorrow, my new slippers have arrived too

Blowing so hard here that it's torn the roof felt off the shed. OH's gone to that DIY shop that all men seem to love, for the materials to fix it. I on the other hand am sitting snug out of the weather stitching like there's no tomoro. Getting there. Hardest thing is keeping my peepers open. Daisy I hope you OH's eye appointment went well. Keep us posted.

Wind blowing directly from the woods so we are covered in leaves. GS3 popped in to say hello to DD and GD's before he goes back to Birmingham University on Monday, I took GD1 and him out to lunch, DD and GD2 took GGS to an indoor a soft play area at her gymn. He is has lots of words now but not stringing them together, the word snack is his favourite. He loves Postman Pat, the modernised version! What is it about that strange looking man is so appealing to little ones.

Qwerty hope you are sleeping better. Hope OH is still happy to visit the therapist and that is helping.

Hello everyone. I didn't have time to check in here before we went to the hospital this morning for OH's eye, and we had to wait ages and ages and didn't get back till after lunch-time. How can sitting around be so tiring - I'm shattered. It was really mild this morning with a very light drizzly rain so I went out in light summer trousers and a very thin fleece. By the time we got to the hospital the rain was coming down in buckets, but then stopped suddenly. It's still very windy though.

Clover - I'm sorry - we were probably hiding behind a tree or something! Seriously if it happens again do email me and I'll try and help. xx I hope you're having a lovely day out.

Gem Poor GS1 - it's not fair when you have to go to school and the grown-ups can have tea parties without you! Good bargain on the jeans. I often buy 2 of something when it's a really good deal like that.

Oh dear, it looks as though there are a lot of people needing to catch up on sleep today. I hope tonight is better!

Nanto - glad to hear your MIL is feeling better. You can't help worrying, can you. xx

Gem - it sounds as though S did well to complete the course without getting blown over yesterday.

Plant - I wish our local WI was a day-time one - I never feel like going out in the evening, especially in the winter, but I'd like to join again. I ought to make the effort! Enjoy your cuddles with GGS. It sounds as though you and GGS are having a lovely day. I remember GD2 loved Postman Pat, and she still likes Fireman Sam sometimes.

Mimi - a day of riotous living for you - cinema and a meal out. I hope the film was good.

Oma - have you had your nana nap? I bet the leaves will be as bad as ever by tomorrow if this wind continues.

Qwerty - I'm glad your new slippers arrived before you new furniture! I hope OH finds his therapy session useful again. Happy anniversary to your DS and DIL. xx

Nana - ditto with OH's shed roof, but he can't do anything about it today because of his eye (I'll update in the 'Loved ones health' thread). At least the weather is a good excuse for you to hunker down and get all your craft and art work done. How's it going?

              Hello again
We had a nice chat with our friends this afternoon, good to catch up. We won't see them again now until we come back from Canada.

Qwerty, I hate it when I forget to use a coupon!
Nan2, I was glad I got all our washing in before it rained.
Postman Pat, Special Delivery Service it is now Plant, I know it well
Daisy, hospitals are draining places, even if you are just sitting about waiting.

Thanks Daisy for offering help if I’m sent to Coventry again Actually that was going to be my next move.I just wanted you to know I hadn’t deserted you deliberately.I
know what you mean about waiting in hospital. You almost lose the will to live. I’ll pop over to the other thread to see how OH got on.

I think this windy weather is pretty widespread. Luckily we missed the one heavy shower we had here today.
We had a good browse round a few out of town shops and then dined in McDonalds as it was the only place to eat in the area. There were quite a few senior citizens in there.Actuallywe enjoyed our “Big Macs” and the coffee was quite good.

I hope everyone has had a good day and those that didn’t sleep well last night managed a nap or at least some relaxation.

Good morning everyone. What a pretty Thursday graphic, Nanto.

It's still quite windy here but I don't think it's been as bad here as further north, and it's still quite mild.

I must do my packing today for the week-end, and make sure there's food organised for OH and Eva. I'm hoping to have a fairly relaxing day.

I do hope the hospital appointments go well today.

Clover - last time we took the GCs to McDonalds I quite enjoyed it - we must be going back into our second childhoods! I think the coffee's improved, too.

Did everyone sleep better last night?

Very dark here this morning, looks like we had some rain. Aqua for me this morning then a hospital visit at 2.15 to check the reveal device I have in my cleavage to monitor whether I have had any fibrillation problems since they changed my tablets. then I must sort out my packing. Just ordered a taxi to take me to the coach in the morning

Hope B's hospital visit goes well Oma

I hope the non-sleepers slept well last night

Good morning. Very windy and rainy here too. We had a good gym visit yesterday, I am finding it easier now and DH did too so that’s good. It must be doing us good.

Meeting up with our DIL’s parents today for lunch. They are going to visit DS and DIL in Australia soon, going next month and will be away for 3 months. They’re not staying with them all they time as they are hiring motorhime and travelling around and are also going to Tasmania too. They have had a bit of a disagreement with them over the last couple of years, I don’t know why, so I hope this visit will mend bridges and not make things worse, I think they will have to bite their tongues whilst they are there!

I have put an update on DH in YEO, hope everyone else gets good news soon.

                            Good morning everyone.

We are back from the hospital, all reassuring. I will write more on the other thread.
The sun is out now,and all the wind has gone, as Nan2 said!
Enfys, the gym sessions must be doing you both good. I know my friend enjoyed them when her OH had his heart attack.
I hope they find the device is working Plant.
Fingers crossed for B's results Oma.

Usual Thursday afternoon for me. Mum's shopping and a visit to her.
I am going to the theatre to see An Inspector Calls tonight, with a friend. My OH will pick her up and drop us off, hers will pick us up afterwards and drop me home. So no driving or buses for us. We have them well trained

                            Happy Thursday everyone.
