I know Enfys is having a rough weekend but I hope everyone else is having a good day.

Gem I hope your Mum enjoyed her lunch and you did too.

Oma how lovely to have a visit from the GC you don’t see that often. That dog is one of a kind. I love him

Nana, have a safe, albeit long ,journey home. The Memory clinic stopped doing home visits last year. To be honest it is me who gets worked up about them as it just rubs it in,especially when they ask the questions OH can’t answer. In fact on the last visit they did at home I asked them not to do the test as it just hurts me so much. OH doesn’t seem too bothered when he can’t answer.

I very rarely get headaches but I’ve had one all day I can’t seem to get rid of completely. I’m putting it down to the flu jab I had yesterday.I looked up possible effects and general aches and headaches seemed to be top of the list.My arm is also tender to touch but luckily OH has had no effects at all.

I didn't have a sore arm this time Clover but I usually do from the flu jab.

I believe howling is a characteristic of Storms breed. Must have been amusing.

Well, I started to come on here to catch up, then spotted an urgent message from GD2's old playgroup. It had a photo of a really beautiful little cat, one year old, who is due to be put to sleep tomorrow because the rescue centre can't keep her any more. So I've been messaging round to see if I can find a home for her. I hate to think of her dying just because they can't find her a home. But I've just heard that she's stolen someone's heart and got her forever home.

Oma - lovely photos. The Forces must be in your family's blood. I had to smile at Storm joining in with the last post! When I was a child I had a border collie cross who used to howl and try and sit on the pedals when I was doing my piano practice. I obviously wasn't very good, but I'm sure that wasn't the case for the Bugler this morning. What a pity you couldn't get to the service as well, but lovely to see DS and the children.

Nana - I'm glad you enjoyed your week in Scotland, and enjoyed the match. Nice to see them win. My OH was delighted when Wales beat Australia as well! Even I was on the edge of my seat for the last 10 minutes. Rugby players are tough! Alun Wyn Jones was interviewed after the match with blood pouring from a wound to his head and down his face! I'm sure in a lot of other sports he'd have been stretchered off, never mind finishing the match and then doing an interview!

Clover - I do hope your headache goes soon. It could be a combination of the flu jab and the stress of the last few days catching up with you. I hope you sleep well and feel better in the morning.

Enfys - sending love and hugs. (I've replied on your DH thread) xxx

Gem - I do hope your Mum's friend and your Mum both enjoyed the birthday celebrations.

I have turned into a Domestic Goddess!!! I've started a thread about it.

Good morning Nan2 and the rest.

Daisy, you are a hero trying to find a new home for the cat, and thank goodness she got one!
Enfys, thinking of you and OH today.

Too much to write here about yesterday, I will update in the 90th birthday thread in Friends and Neighbours.
One of my oldest friends (we met as young mums at Toddler Group) is coming for lunch today.

                        Good morning all.

Daisy puts your faith in human nature when you hear that the cat has found a forever home.

Plant sorry to hear that your tooth is still giving you jip. Sorry not to be much help when it comes to advising you about GD1 apart from eating lots of fruit and veg and getting plenty of fresh air.

Thoughts are with Enfys and P.

I have just come back from the pharmacist. I wanted to buy some migraleve but they had sold out, I was offered another migraine tablet but it doesn't top the flashing images and nausea. When I go to town in the week I will try and get some then Apparently the pharmacist said that they have had them on order for a few months now so I don't hold out much hope. While I was there I mentioned that since yesterday I am getting pain in my ear when I swallow thinking I would be offered some drops to treat ear wax but no, I was told I need to see a doctor as I have most probably got an ear infection! I did say it would take weeks to get an appointment. I was able to but an ear spray that treats mild infections so I will try that and see how it goes. I thought it was going to be so simple, silly me.

Hope today is a good day for all our ladies with worries and health problems
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning everyone. Lovely pretty graphic to start the week, Nanto!

Enfys - you and P are very much in my thoughts. Sending hugs and hoping he's feeling a bit better today. xx

Plant - you must be getting very fed up with that tooth. I hope you can get more ABs for it. A couple of years ago I was getting coughs and colds all the time, and several wise ladies on here suggested Zinc tablets. I do think they made a huge difference and I still take them. If a cold starts it seems to go again without becoming a 'proper' cold, and I'm sure it's down to the zinc. I think they're zinc plus vitamin C.

Qwerty - it sounds like a lovely day, even though you did end up with sticky handles!!

Mimi - I hope you can get your Migraleve. Migraines are horrible enough without having problems with the meds.

Talking of medication, is anybody else still waiting for their flu jab? Our pharmacist ran out weeks ago and there is a waiting list for when they do get supplies in. The surgery hasn't got any either.

I was really pleased the little cat found a home. I'd found a possible home via DIL2, her mum and a friend of hers, but it's nice to know she's wanted.

Plant,it will be a blessing when you get the tooth out.

                            Just back from in laws.
                            Dinner prepared,mash,pork chops,carrots,broccoli and gravy.
Off to post office now,mam wants some Christmas stamps.

Sun is shining and feels quite mild.

Mimi ear infections are not nice they cause all sorts of trouble like vertigo nasty things , hope it settles soon
I so sympathise with the Migraine , I have meds from Dr but I also take Syndol when needed but they are hard to get hold off not all places stock them .

Plant that tooth is being a problem isn't it , best to have it taken out when you can big hugs xxx

Nanto can I come for Dinner please 😊

Qwerty not only the kids leave sticky handles I swear B does it on purpose although he says it's not him , even worse on a morning if using Marmalade there is more on the door handle than the toast ,
Hope you have nice chat with SIL xx

Busy morning today, the chimney sweep came and swept two of our chimneys, Mr Waitrose brought the shopping. Caught up with all the ironing. Trying out my new Bread Machine 🙂. Busier day yesterday, cooked roast lunch for 9 , afternoon singing with our Community Choir in church for Remembrance celebrations (a song for each decade) , followed by bells ringing out and lighting of the beacon. Got to take dog for her rabies injection this afternoon......
