Plant - I do feel for you. Toothache is awful, and like you I can't take Ibuprofen (for different reasons) and sometimes other things just don't have any effect. Have you tried something like bonjella to rub on the gum area? Years ago you could get a topical pain killer with a clove taste. I don't know if it's still available but it was quite effective.

WeeGranny - how frustrating and what a waste of your time as well as the doctor's. Plus of course you want to know what the results are so you can go forward. At least it was good news that your bilerubin levels have righted themselves.

Enfys - we're always here. I hope you can get out a bit today - fresh air always helps - and it's stopped raining here and the sun is out now. xx

Oma - I hope the top up goes well today. It must be a huge comfort to know that M is on standby.

OH is just off out to do the supermarket shop and I am going to tackle the hot hissy thing - after I've finished sorting out a kitchen cupboard that's been driving me mad for ages.

Other half kindly shared his cold with me, so the last few days in Portugal felt a bit under par. Back in Blighty now. Central heating on and wood burning stove lit. Looking forward to getting warm and cosy this evening....... all the family coming on Sunday for lunch 😊

Heard from dentist, they are referring me to a hospital, not happy to deal with it themselves. Spoke to my doctor and he said dentists go on the defensive about extracting or root filling a tooth when patients are on Androlic Acid and gave me the name of the doctor in charge of the Rheumatology Dept. to give to them but they had already made up their mind that they were not happy doing the extraction. Apparently I have to have 6 of these injections, the last one was in June and I have had three so far, then they do a bone scan.

            So annoying WeeGranny.

Good to hear it will not be such an ordeal for M this time Oma.

Plant what an ordeal for you. Sounds complicated but glad they know what they are doing , nothing worse than nagging pain it truly gets you down
Daisy that back pain of yours doesnt want to leave you again it brings you down in yourself
WG what a waste of time , at the moment the experiences we have had the Nhs left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing ,as much as I love the Nhs it does seem to be a pain at the moment
Clover I can only reiterate what everybody says , if it upsets you and there Is nothing they can do but monitor him, I would see if you could at least have a break or not bother at all, we are all here for you particularly on YEO and Journals , it gets a bit off your chest if nothing else
Avo. you will be feeling the cold now , hope the cold gets better soon my OH has been full of it but hopefully he hasn’t shared it with me . We have the family coming for lunch too on Sunday seems a while since we were altogether
Oma a top up is on the agenda then for 21st it never seems to end 🤨
Enfys a few weeks from now it will be over , keep pushing yourself and when its over and he has recuperated book a break, and as Daisy says a bit of fresh air is needed all round
Gem happy new haircut to the boy with the gorgeous locks
Not much happening here smoking clinic went well , he has reduced his meds for the second time , he had his breathing test and apparently the number he got to informed him that he was a no smoker ! Food shop done and a quick tea tonight, enjoy your weekend ladies

Just spent the last 5 hours in the Cancer walk in clinic. The doc we spoke to yesterday referred it back to P’s oncologist and she wanted him to go in for a,check up. Nothing untoward found, but he must just rest and drink lots, just some fluid still on the lung which should disperse. Feeling shattered. We wanted to get out....but not there 😕

Oh dear, Enfys you must be exhausted but reassuring nothing untoward was found.I hope you’ll be able to have a “ real” day out soon when P is not feeling so tired.

Plant,at least you know what the plan is for dealing with your tooth.Hope it can be as soon as possible

Oma good news about the top up though I know M would have been more than happy to do whatever was needed.

We survived the Memory clinic. We have to go really, to tick their boxes but mainly to enable G to continue the medication that is hopefully slowing the progression but who knows if it is or not? It just breaks my heart when G couldn’t remember the day, date or even the year when he was asked.Anyway that’s it for 6 months

Afterwards we ventured into an American diner for pancakes and coffee. I think we were the only customers over the age of 30

Oma - glad you've got a date for the top up and it's not so hard on M this time.

Plant - you're better off at the hospital. A nervous dentist doesn't sound a good idea to me.

Enfys - 'nothing untoward' is always good news, even if it has meant an outing to the hospital. P is getting very well cared for. I hope you can sleep a little easier tonight. xx

Gem - how is GD after his hair cut? Is he pleased with it?

Avo - I don't suppose the flight back was great with a cold. Snuggling down in front of your wood burner sounds a good idea. Get better soon. xx

Qwerty - well done to J - he's making good progress with giving up the cigars. xx

Nanto - I was thinking about you this afternoon and your Friday fish and chips. OH was out and I couldn't be bothered cooking - I finished off some baked beans!

Well, the hot hissy thing and I spent a lot of time together today. There's still a basket full or ironing to do, but at least the basket count is now just one! I also finished sorting out the cupboard that was bugging me. So now I won't be able to find things, I bet!

Clover - sorry I saw your post after I'd done mine.

I'm glad it's all over and done with, but it must be heartbreaking for you and for G if he realises. Pancakes and coffee with a young crowd sound like a good pick me up after. Sending hugs. xxx

I will report on GS2's haircut in a separate thread, as it is quite funny
                              Welcome back Avo
That sounds a stressful day Enfys, but thank goodness nothing untoward found.
Your OH is doing so well with giving up smoking Qwerty.
Thank goodness Memory Clinic is over for 6 months Clover.
