Really must heed my own words and stop buying frozen food/food to freeze.
Been to the butchers, but i can't just buy enough for one meal,i have to get enough to do several meals.

    Grauntie,hope you feel better soon.

Daisy,i'm sure everyone will enjoy the party. I bet the the cake looks lovely.

Qwerty no tea for the children, just water - they don't drink tea. Tea for the grown ups We do get lots of crumbs in bed though I hope you feel happier soon.
Grauntie, it's not fair coming back from your holiday with a chest infection.
Plant I hope you enjoy lunch and theatre.
I hope the party is lovely Daisy.

It snowed heavily twice, rained in between then became fine, but very cold.
The children were very good, and left with their mum after lunch.
Tonight OH and I are going out with friends, An Indian restaurant, so I will have to hope to avoid all chili , and take my tablets with me!

Grauntie - welcome back. We've all been very good! I'm sorry to hear you've got a chest infection - I know it can make you very poorly, so do take care of yourself. xx

Mimi - it sounds like a big job - it's a good job you've got such a skilled DS to sort it out. But I'm sure it will be lovely and you'll be glad you've done it.

Plant - what a busy day you've had. Plus another one tomorrow! xx

Qwerty - I'm sure it all looks lovely after so much hard work. The hour changing always makes me feel a bit down as well. I hate the dark evenings and the prospect of months and months of them fills me with dread. I won't alter any of the clocks tonight - if they change automatically I don't want to do it twice!

Nanto - if we have a big freeze and the shops are empty we'll all be coming round to you and your well-stocked freezer.

My cake turned out well - at least everybody had a piece and nobody fell to the floor writhing in agony - as far as I know!! The hostess had cooked a really lovely meal and I think the birthday boy enjoyed himself.

I hope everyone sleeps well tonight and makes the most of that extra hour. Night, night.

Grauntie...sorry to hear you're not well. You'll have to keep an eye on that. Qwerty....sorry to hear too that you're feeling a bit low. Funny time in the year's calender just now. When we travelled early in the day this wk there was the sunrise, sky with blood red clouds on my side of the road. Over the other side of the road was a full moon.

Thanks for the reminder about the clocks going back. At least there's an extra hr in bed.

A bit of frost this morning.

Grauntie, hope you are a bit better this morning.
Qwerty, hope you are feeling a bit brighter.
Daisy, pleased the party went well, and that the birthday boy enjoyed it.

That extra hour in bed,was just another hour to lie awake for me.

                    Good morning everyone.

I'm sorry that you didn't sleep well Nan2, it must get you down, and Oma too.

We had a good night with our friends and nice meal last night. Unfortunately as OH got out of the car her hip seemed to 'go' in some way, and she had to painfully hobble along to the restaurant. It had been so much better recently so I don't know why that happened. She had trouble finding a comfortable position to get to sleep last night, but says it feels a bit easier today. She has 2 golf days and a couple of hours gardening for an elderly couple this coming week so those all depend on how the hip is.

Have a good day everyone, especially Plant with her birthday celebration meal

Most of my clocks are radio controlled and change themselves, just the mantle clock and the central heating to change. Long time to fill before family arrive for the lunch, I have had many cards (wont open them until tomorrow) and an orchid from Sil's mother. when I got back from the theatre I found a gorgeous arrangement of flowers from one lovely generous lady whose name begins with Q (J) and this morning a Jackie Lawson card popped into my mail box from 2 more GRuS friends. We had some very good seats at the theatre but it was a very noisy performance and the leading lady had a very high voice which when she reached the high notes was a bit harsh and we couldn't understand what she was singing. I think Elaine Page's voice is more mellow. We enjoyed the performance and it was nice having lunch beforehand with my lovely friend who was Tawny Owl with me some years ago.

Qwerty and Daisy don't get depressed about the approaching Winter, take each day as it comes, we get a lot of sunshine in the Winter. The colour of the leaves around here are gorgeous and lifts ones spirits, Qwerty, how lovely to have a field to look at, I hope the farmer isn't growing rape. The supermarkets have tons or gorgeous bright pumpkins for the children to decorate. Unfortunately they also have fireworks.

I expect the family will congregate here about 1.00 for some bubbles and we are expected at the restaurant at 2.00. GS2's girlfriend isn't well so that is one less, I have yet to phone and cancel her meal.

Good morning everyone, especially Plant, preparing for a lovely celebration.

Nanto, poor you. You must feel desperate for some good quality sleep. I know there are others on here with similar sleep problems, and it makes you wonder how many people don't get enough sleep generally.

Gem - I do hope OH's hip is ok. Gentle movement is probably the best thing but she must be very frustrated about it.

Plant - what I hate most about the dark evenings is driving back from DS2's after looking after the girls. Most of the way it's open Forest so there are ponies, cattle and donkeys wandering about and often deer who just run across the road randomly. They can all be very hard to see, especially if there are oncoming vehicles with their lights on full because they can't see the animals either! I can go much longer ways round to cut down the distance on unfenced roads, but it takes for ever! So the winter sunshine is lovely, but I hate the dark evenings. I don't mind driving in the dark generally, so going to dog training is fine, it's just the Forest roads.

Qwerty - enjoy your roast and relax before your half-term visitors. I bet they are really excited.

DS1 and family are on their way back from Las Vegas today, so we are going up to their house to return Bailey. We'll aim to get there before them so Bailey can greet the boys when they arrive - they've really missed him, especially GS1.

                        Have a good Sunday everyone.

Gem I hope OH’s hip settles down, especially with her plans for the week.

We we have just taken DD’s dog Luna for a long walk in the hope of tiring her out! It was very pleasant in the sunshine and not as cold as yesterday.
We have booked a Sunday lunch at the local pub, literally 100 yards up the road. We’ve been there before with family as it is so handy and it’s always been very nice.

Hope you all have a lovely afternoon.

Nanto im not a lover of Pizza either although I will eat a slice but I wouldn't choose it ,
Gem is it wise for S to play golf ? be firm with her if shes still sore put your foot down and don't let her go , lock her in the cupboard if you have too hahaha

Well I have a very sore back and neck now ,
I have spent several long hours hunched over a sewing machine making (9 ) 12 ft long table runners for Martin's Wedding , its not till April but thought I would get them done and out of the way ,
To top it all they are Velvet , Velvet for those that sew will know is a pig to work with , Cutting and hemming was a long job

Its a long time since I sat so long at a sewing machine my eyes are not as sharp as they were so threading the needle wasn't easy even with a magnifying glass and my specs on , didn't help my hands shaking,
Then having to re fill the spool 3 times , Think I will need a heat pack at some point today ,
Im not fat just 6ft too small

OH round at neighbours altering her central heating since the clocks changed and with going to N Zealand this week she wants the heating to come on timed every day on a low temp in case of frosts, it’s his good deed for today

Sunday lunch went down a treat and saved some for the twins tomorrow for tea , but I wouldn’t say no to a pizza Nanto at anytime delish watching a Xmas film after my messages looks Christmassy as the car is covered in snow 🌨at the moment
