Just back from in laws. Caught up with their housework.

Strangely, i didn't sleep too badly.I was surprised after what happened yesterday.

Oma,hope BIL gets his pipes sorted,too cold to be without heating.

Well Nana B did the same in our downstairs loo last year , wasn't till we went to take the radiator off to decorate and realised the wall was soft it had been dripping for a while and once the screw came out of that bracket it did the same
Luckily ours was behind the radiator and a small area so he just cut the plaster board out renewed it and marked where the pipe was before putting radiator back we also took a photo for future so we more or less where to avoid

They still waiting Nanto BG said they would be there between 8 &10 but not turned up yet .

Afternoon all . its taken me most of the morning to shake off a headache that started yesterday .

Oma hope BIL's heating is fixed, its too cold to be without it at the moment .

We had a lot of frost this morning and its still cold out there even now.

Re pipes. The plumber who replumbed this whole house took photos of his work before it was plastered over and sent them to us. Brilliant.

Auntie was fine this morning, as she always is. I have done the shopping, been to mums, done OH's reflexology.
I went yet again to the pharmacist to collect my prescription when I was out, to hear it is still not there. Came home and again checked online - it was ordered, by me, on 20th and dispensed. I phoned the surgery and instead of electronically sending it to my local pharmacist, it appears they for some reason had issued a paper prescription which is at my doctors - 4 miles away! I asked if they could please destroy that one and send one electronically, as I wasn't going into town to pick it up. The receptionist said she lives in my village so would drop it in to me after work, which was kind of her. Most annoying though

Gem, good to hear Auntie was fine,and hope your Mum was as well.
While we were away,hubby went for reflexology,something he has always wanted to do.
I sat in the waiting area,but after 5 minutes i had to go and sit outside.
Don't like anything to do with feet,and there were pictures on the walls of feet, and i couldn't sit there any longer.
After all that,hubby didn't think it was what he expected. I suspect they weren't properly trained.

A free day today! GS1's day has been moved to tomorrow so he can be here for Halloween. OH will be on the golf course. I need a new winter jacket so may go looking for one.
I have several programmes recorded to watch, and there is a pile of ironing, so I may combine those two activities for a while.

It’s chilly here and now it’s raining. How depressing. Like you Oma, I’m not going anywhere.
Sorry to hear you had another bad night Nanto2.
I had a night of the strangest dreams. All to do with wars in Vietnam and Cambodia. This holiday has really got under my skin but not in a particularly good way. I need some jolly company but no one can come near until I’m better. I’ll do some ironing instead.

Family are due back from Amsterdam late afternoon but we are staying on until next Monday I have to get my GC fix to last me until Christmas.

No ice here this morning just damp, so I was able to give the neighbours cat her breakfast with no risk to life or limb!

Grauntie, you do sound poorly, look after yourself. Must play word today, I see you have made your move but the last two days have been a bit of a whirl I didn't get around to make a move.

Very dull here, need to go out to buy some knitting needles, I want to knit a pullover for GGS and although I have many needles but not the one I need. apart from that I plan to have a quiet day. Bowling friends finished off the birthday cake but they didn't let me win, mean lot. got home from bowls and DD came in and said lets go to the local restaurant/pub for a meal, so that finished off my birthday.

Hope the central heating gets sorted Oma.

Oh Grauntie you sound fed up , don't do the ironing concentrate on getting better the ironing will still be there , wish we were all near we could come and make you laugh

Clover its hard when you don't see the GC regular but makes it all the more special when you can spend extra time with them have a lovely time make the most of it ,

Gem do your neighbours cats like you to fuss them when you go ? my DD cats go crazy when she's away and we go to feed them they almost trip me up wrapping around my legs

I wonder how Enfys and P are feeling its Thursday P has his procedure isn't it ?

We now have heavy rain , the dog is fast asleep at my feet , B had had to go get me another Halloween bowl for the sweets I cant find mine anywhere , it will turn up after we don't need it I bet

There is only one cat Oma, and she is quite shy. She will let us stroke her, and we stay for a while on one of the 3 daily visits, to keep her company. She won't sit on knees though, not even her owners!

Thinking of Enfys and OH. Enfys drops in here to read, so will see our good wishes for her.
