Good morning ladies . I had a busy day yesterday taking down the hanging baskets and throwing away the summer flowers but I have put the geraniums and fuschias in pots to over winter in the grow house . I planted primroses, pansies and wallflowers into planters and hanging baskets. The wallflowers are only in pots for a short time as I want to put them in the garden but I have to wait until the fence has been repaired so I wait and wait ………..
All that work played my back up so I am planning to take things easy today.

    How is everyone,
Qwerty hope SIL gets much need rest from his 15 years of being in a stressful job.

Ladies I used to buy tops from Bon Marche many years ago, I used them for work. I haven't been in one for some considerable time.

Gem off you go and clean the inside of your car , we expect it to be gleaming by the time you have finished

Oma do my eyes deceive me, did you say you were going to have a relaxing day . Make sure you do and enjoy it, you never seem to take time to relax .

    Enjoy the weekend everyone

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Yes, Qwerty I hope your DS finds things to do which he enjoys and relaxing.

Bought some pansies yesterday, hope to plant those today, we shall see. Put my name on the list for a holiday in Norfolk early next Sept. with my NT group yesterday, plus an outing to London in November this year.

Morning people, sunny day here but its a bit cool , off to pick eldest up for a sleepover she swims on a Saturday morning so not going till lunchtime, which it nearly is now. We are going out with her for a meal at tea time she loves her food that one !
In answer to my sil, he is putting more time in his T army, which he enjoys takes the stress off would you believe !
He has a flash motorbike horrible things, but he goes off with like minded people , I’ve known them call for fish and chips on the way , then at Scarborough a 70 odd mile run and when they get there they have a coffee and come straight back , he loves his bike, Dd goes with him sometimes if we have eldest but finds it boring, he plays golf, he’s just doing the things he never got chance to do. He was European manager for Fujitsu computer systems never at home well paid and now drawing on the fruits of his earnings I guess. He will look for something with less money, stress etc at some point , he’s looking for a villa in Spain too hope he gets one that’s our holidays sorted
Have a good day ladies be it , housework, shopping, resting or gardening time to go now xx

Enfys - home made soup? I'm on my way! It's quite pleasantly warm out now. I had my morning coffee in the summerhouse with doors open and it was lovely.

Mimi - you were a busy bee in the garden, and your hard work will pay off when you've got lots of flowers in the middle of winter.

Plant, pansies are lovely aren't they - so cheerful.

Qwerty - have a lovely time with GD1. It sounds as though your SIL has lots of fun things planned, which is just as it should be. High pressure jobs are ok for a while, but eventually I think they wear you down, and travelling abroad a lot may sound like fun, but it isn't. On the other hand, travelling to a villa in Spain is a whole different - and much nicer - thing. I hope he stays safe on that motorbike! xx

Gem - I cleaned all the rubbish out of my car yesterday. It's surprising how much better it looks.

Managed to get all the shopping we needed/wanted.
Gem, we go away on the 16th October.
              Have a good evening ladies.

Nanto - not long to your holidays.

I did quite well today with window cleaning - not the whole house but enough to make me feel virtuous. I hope other people's Saturdays were more interesting.

It's quite chilly tonight, so I've just poured us a warming Scotch, and them I'm off for an early night!

I’ve just had a warming brandy, the kiss of death to me. Nice but how do I stay awake?
I have had a spider and web on both wing mirrors of my car for a few journeys. I have tried to encourage them to go behind the wing mirror for safety. One missing, I just hope it has got to safety.....

Grauntie you do make me smile. I did a little gardening too today...weeding. We let a side bit of our garden grow wild this year & loved it. The cornflowers are still going long after the poppies. My favourite colour as you can see from my Avatar.

We've got GS2 & GD tomoro morning & they're having a sleepover. I doubt I'll sleep much on Sunday night thinking about getting them to school/Nursery on time on Monday morning.

Ready for my Welsh hols in under a weeks time. We so need a break away.

                        Good morning everyone.

I hope your MIL enjoys her birthday Nan2. how lovely to have the family going round. You go away a couple of days before I get back.
I hope the sleepover goes well Nana.
Grauntie, spiders and webs travel around with me sometimes too!
I would feel virtuous too Daisy
Qwerty, don't forget who your friends are when you are going to the new villa
Good to have things to look forward to Plant.
Mimi, can I confess I haven't done my car yet??? It is top of my list today. I did do a bit of gardening though, in my defence (and paint and varnish a few rocks)

We saw few of this mornings hot air balloons in the distance, we hope to go and see the late afternoon launch. We decided against it yesterday which was just as well as they didn't go, due to wind. Our friend got stuck for ages in traffic on the way to see them, then there was nothing .

                        Have a good day ladies.

Nana, I hope the GC sleepover goes well and good luck with the school run. Good to hear you are having a holiday quite soon.

Enjoy your walk Enfys, looks like another fine day but it does get chilly now.

Hope your Mil enjoys her birthday gathering Nanto, lovely to have the family there to celebrate it.
You boozers Grauntie and Daisy. I didn't have a brandy yesterday as I had bubbles with the family

As I have said before I consider the garden beyond the archway is not mine to worry about but I went through and planted some pansies under the apple tree opposite their SR window, GD1 came out and helped and we finished up trimming their lavender bushes and sweeping the terrace. Well my sil cuts all the grass but I wish my DD was more interested in gardening. Sil's mother was there so I went in to see her and had a chat. It was such a lovely day gorgeous weather for gardening. Off to garden centre later, I have a voucher to spend there. Have a lovely day everyone.

Good morning all. Is it dull and chilly outside where you are, it certainly is here. I have all ready been out in the garden , pulling down the sweet pes and generally tiding up. I had to get on with it while OH wasn't lurking around as he hates me going on his precious lawn when its damp...…..just hope the tell tale signs of wet foot prints on the patio dry before he gets back

Plant its lovely to get out in the garden isn't it . What you going to spend your voucher on ?

Tut , tut Gem. Look at your car , we can see it from here !

Oma you have to nag men before they get any thing done don't you ?

Nan2 hope MIL's birthday goes well
