    Good afternoon everyone.

Nan2 it started off dull here but then the sun came out.

Daisy try not to overdo it. As I say (to no avail) to my OH, perhaps the time has come to accept some help in the garden.

Plant, much as you would love to visit your GS's new house a photo tour is maybe best with all those steps.

Oma, I should properly clean the reclining sofa I usually sit on, a job I keep putting off!

I do feel a bit better today. OH fancied hitting few golf balls at local driving range , in preparation for playing golf on Friday. I went with her. I didn't really feel like going out, but it did me good to get out. We had a cuppa and sandwich in the cafe there, and the sun was out.

Hallo everyone, I had to phone the doctor about the sinus, it is so swollen above my left eye, it looks as thought I have been in a fight! I have been to see the doctor and as it is so swollen she has prescribed antibiotics, if it doesn't clear I have to go back. I really feel ill, so tired with it.

I have to go to the hospital on Wednesday to the lung specialist, I did think it was Thursday.

Plant, when DS2 went to live in Rotterdam his house was all steps, I was younger then so could manage them.

Daisy, I hope you aren't overdoing it with the gardening.

It is Liberation Day here tomorrow. I think it is a bank holiday once every 5 years, not sure about that though.

Gem, glad getting out did you good.
After a cool and dull start to the day,the sun came out and it was quite pleasant.

We had surprise visitors today. A friend hubby worked with and his wife.
It was lovely to have a catch up.
Sadly, their little dog died last sunday. She was only 7 and they both doted on her.
Turned out,she had a heart condition that they didn't know about.

Gem, I'm glad you are feeling a bit better, and you even enjoyed your trip to the driving range. It's great that your OH is keen to get some practice in before playing on Friday. It's always nice as well to eat out, even a sandwich and a cuppa. You're right - I can't manage the garden by myself, but OH is helping. It's not his favourite thing, but it's fresh air and exercise and as he learns more he's more interested. We are actively looking at making the garden easier to look after. My aim is to plant the borders very densely so the weeds don't stand a chance.

Lizzie, I'm sorry to hear you're feeling so poorly. I didn't realise sinusitis could make your eyes swell. It sounds very painful, so I hope the antibiotics work quickly for you.

Nanto, how lovely to have unexpected visitors, but they must be missing their little dog very much. Seven isn't old, poor doggy.

After a rather dull start it brightened and warmed up here. It's been a beautiful afternoon and the garden thermometer read 23C. We did a bit of gardening, and then went and got the garden furniture cushions etc from the loft, and of course, it would have been silly to put them out and not check that they are a comfortable as we remembered. It was lovely to sit outside in comfort and read for a while.

It was still warm when I took Eva out just after 5 o'clock, so we kept to the shade as much as possible. I made a ham salad for tea - we didn't feel like anything cooked. OH has a sore throat and thinks he's starting with a cold.

Good morning, Daisy, it isn't my eye that has swollen, it is above the eye. I hope that it is the sinusitus.

Nanto, your poor friends losing their dog.

I have managed shopping, it is a colder wind.

                      Good morning ladies.

The sun is shining for my DD3's birthday, which makes me very happy

Nan2, the neighbours would be sad about their dog. Hopefully the catch up with you cheered them up.

Oma, a sad day for your family, MIL will probably be understandably upset.
OH enjoyed the golf. She just got a bucket of 50 balls and didn't play all of them. She gave the last 10 or so to the guy in the next booth as she had done enough. She felt stiff doing it it but not in as much pain as she feared.

Daisy my cold (now just about gone) started with a severe sore throat on Sunday. I hope your OH's doesn't develop into one.

                      How are you today Lizzie?

By yesterday afternoon I was feeling much better I'm glad to say! I felt pretty ropey on Saturday and Sunday.
Today we are going to the cinema, to see the Michael Jackson film. OH isn't big cinema goer and this she is interested in. No golf for her, and I sent my excuses to the library as I thought another days rest, and not spreading germs may be good idea. I may do some sandal shopping too, and OH wants compost . We shall see where the day takes us!
My DD3 has another birthday celebration for today, her actual birthday (4th day in row I think and why not?! ) They are hiring a boat on the river. The forecast wasn't good but in fact the sun is shining.

I'm pleased your feeling better just take your time recovering,
I hope it stays nice for the river boat trip for DD ,
Let me know what you thought of the Michael Jackson movie.

S was sensible not pushing herself too hard , I'm pleased it wasn't as painful as she anticipated xxx

We went to B&M and Lidl ,
Just pulling into the drive when the delivery driver pulled behind us with the panels so we timed that well.

                          Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, good morning to your little friend! I hope the sun stays out for you all day.

Oma, I'm sure your MIL must be thinking about your Aunt Ingrid today. I hope she's ok. You've got your garden under better control than we have, but we'll get there - eventually! We've had much needed rain overnight, and several plants have perked up a bit.

Lizzie, the swelling still sounds very painful, but I'm thankful it's not your actual eye. At least you've done y our shopping. Have a relaxing day.

Gem, your OH was sensible to stop hitting balls before she got too tired. Pacing yourself isn't easy, but it does help with pain. I hope she feels ok today. Enjoy the film, both of you. I think you're wise to avoid the library today. You're probably not infectious but there must be frail/vulnerable people using the library, so better to be on the safe side. I'm so glad it's sunny for DD3's actual birthday. Was it sunny the day she was born?

The weather can't make up its mind at the moment - sun and clouds. We're going shopping. I need to get new hearing aid batteries from Specsavers and I'll ask them to mend my prescription sunglasses. One of the arms has come off, and I've lost the screw. I need to get some birthday cards, and some sandals if I see anything I like. Then on to the garden centre with a fairly long shopping list. I hope OH doesn't think it will be a 5-minute job!

Oma, our posts crossed. I'm pleased your kitchen panels have arrived. That was good timing.
