    Morning ladies

    Gem
They are very quick fitting the chargers depending where the electric box is
I hope DD is feeling more relaxed.

    Enjoy your Aqua,

    Nanto
Another go as you please day isn't a bad thing ,
It lets you catch up on things you need to do but have put off doesn't it.

    Daisy
    Was the trout nice?
I don't think I have ever tasted Trout,
At least you didn't have a wet walk with Eva😁

B has started with the cupboard under the stairs already has a big bin bag full of junk and cables we have kept but no longer have the appliance's they go with,

I am going to frame some new photos of Fin I want to put up and a job I have been meaning to do for at least a year,
I'm going to finally sort out my sewing box and embroidery bag,
It's in the bottom of my wardrobe and every time I open the door and look at it , I think I must do that,
    So today's the day 😁

It's dreary and dull but at least all that rain has melted the snow.

    Lizzie
    Our posts crossed,
Yes my mother used brown sugar too , it's the molasses in it that gives a lovely glaze isn't it,
How nice of that lady to give you a lift especially when the side roads are so bad still

      Good Monday morning, everyone.

Nanto, it's the same here - nothing planned and we'll see how the day pans out.

Gem, DD3 and her OH will find life much easier with a second car. I hope the charger can be fitted soon. Enjoy your Aqua class.

Lizzie, you have really suffered with the weather. It sounds far worse than here. We do live on the south coast, but we've had no snow and yesterday was much milder. I'm glad you're taking care, and it's kind of the lady who's leaving to offer to pick you up. My dad used to put brown sugar on gammon as well. It was always dad who cooked anything slightly unusual. Mum did the day to day cooking, but dad always knew how to prepare and cook any unusual meats.

Oma, we get trout fillets which you can cook like salmon, so it's just a change from that really. I also like rainbow trout, but we haven't got a proper fishmonger around here any more. I bet nearly every house in the country has got a pile of leads and cables for gadgets they no longer use. I sorted out my sewing basket a few months ago, and put all the reels of cotton into a separate box, and it's made odd sewing jobs so much easier. I also treated myself to some new scissors and a stitch ripper. Such luxury! It sounds as though it's less cold for you today.

It's dull and rather dreary here today, but almost warm! Well, that's how it feels after the recent cold spell.

I am going to the funeral of a very old Guiding friend, she was elderly but it was so quick and a shock to her family and friends.

Plant, a sad day for you saying goodbye to an old friend. It sounds as though she was well until the very end of her life, and that is a blessing. Sending hugs. xx

            Plant how sad ,
Good for her but a shock to everyone else isn't it,

My elderly neighbour has pneumonia, they have him on oxygen and antibiotics,
She was telling B when he went down this morning to see her,
She also thinks he's getting dementia,
He's been getting up at 1.30 every morning asking if they are going shopping and ,
Wandering the house , keeps repeating himself and is very confused ,

            Poor man he's so lovely.

That is sad Oma. Funeral was as she would have wanted, a close family gathering.

Hello! A bit more time to post properly now .

Always sad to say goodbye to a friend Plant, especially when it's sudden and unexpected.

That's sad about your neighbour Oma.

Lizzie, yes do make that thread when you have time!

It's definitely warmer here today Daisy.

DD3 is safely delivered home. SIL had the house sparkling clean and washing drying on the airer
Little E was happy to see his mummy and got his Dr's set out to take care of her! I had a cuppa and admired the new pretty lights in little E's room then came home. Tesco had been and OH had put it all away.
DD is going to her dad's tomorrow, so more being looked after SIL will be at work and little E at nursery.

Plant, it is always a comfort when you know someone has the funeral they would have wished for. Sending hugs to you.

Oma, your neighbour is in the best place for now. I hope they can treat his pneumonia, but such a worry for his wife. Is he going to be assessed for dementia when he's feeling better? Did you get your sewing box and embroidery bag sorted out, and your photos framed?

Gem, your SIL3 is a star, having the house all clean and tidy, and the washing done. I'm sure little E's "doctoring" skills made his Mummy feel better. It's good your DD will be looked after tomorrow as well. How lovely to get home and find all the shopping put away.

I didn't feel like doing much today, but in the end I did some hoovering, a bit of ironing and cleaned the cloakroom. I didn't take Eva out until late, but we had a nice walk.

Oma, hope your neighbour is feeling better soon.

I was up early and cleaned a couple of cupboards, and swapped thing inside around.
Don't know if they will stay like that,i'm a bit undecided.

We are going into town, hubby for his Tuesday meet up and me for a browse.

                        Morning Nanto, Ladies.

                        Daisy
I don't know about the assessment she hasn't said ,but I'm sure the Drs will pick up that something isn't right and she has told them.
Yes I got my sewing box and embroidery bag sorted,
I'm going to take a lot to the local craft club ,
Photos are on the wall 😁

                        Nanto
Hope you have a good browse and buy something nice.

My DS had his car stolen from his drive last night , it was there at 1.30 but when he got up at 5.30 it was gone,
It will either be dumped or smashed up somewhere.
                        Hopefully dumped with no damage.

Not a lot on today just see what turns up.

                          Good morning all.

Nan2, that's cheery morning graphic for us

Oh Oma, how terrible for your SIL. Fingers crossed it's found with no damage. That happened to my dad many years ago and it was fine, abandoned down some side road.
Would it show on the Ring camera if they have one?

Library morning then reflexology at 1.30. Then I must sort all the Christmas boxes for OH and I to put back in the loft. I was going to do it on either last Wednesday afternoon or Thursday, when I was to be free all day. As you know we had all the dramas with DD3 from Wednesday afternoon, so I have have had NO time for such things. So this afternoon it is.

But he does need to go into the office and away for business meetings sometimes.

                              Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

I'll pop back later to catch up.

Nanto, I hope your new cupboard layouts work for you. I sometimes find I try something different and it's worse, not better and end up putting everything back where it was. I hope it wasn't raining for your trip to town.

Oma, that was a good productive day yesterday. Well done. I'm sure the local craft club will be pleased with your donations. Any news on your poorly neighbour? I hope your DS gets his car back undamaged. It's amazing how quickly these car thieves work. We had an abandoned car in our road for months, and nobody seemed to be able to trace the owner. In the end the Council got it towed away by a scrap dealer. My DS2 had his car stolen in Nottingham when he was at Uni. His flat mate saw it abandoned a few streets away and sat on the bonnet for 4 hours, the time it took DS to get back up there from Hampshire. It was undamaged apart from the sound system which the thieves had tried to remove.

Gem, a busy day for you. I hope nothing happens to stop you getting your Christmas stuff packed away and up the loft. Was your next door but one neighbour at the Library today?

It's been pouring with rain here all morning, but has stopped now. There's a lot of standing water, but we seem to have escaped the flooding in the village. There is a couple of people in the village who know about things like drains and culverts etc who have been doing some rodding and clearing of vegetation, and also prodding the relevant authorities to fix the problems they are responsible for. Most of the problems are caused by the authorities not keeping their waterways flowing. Quite often one 'body' will say it someone else's responsibility, and the someone else says it's not their problem, etc. So nothing gets done, or they fix one blockage in isolation and create further problems up or down stream. I don't know why or how it has got so complicated.
