    Hello everyone.

Nanto, I bet your hubby and his pal have a good old chat every time they meet up. Have they known each other a long time?

Oma, Does B go to the surgery for blood tests, or the hospital? I hope your MIL was in a good mood. That was really good service from Amazon. We don't have any depots near us, but I've been surprised ordering say late on a Sunday on Prime and the goods arriving the next morning.

Gem, I hope the weather was nice and little E had hiss trip out to the nature reserve. xxx

It was misty first thing this morning, but the sky cleared a bit and the sun turned everything a warm golden colour. It was really beautiful for about half an hour.

Well, today has taken a turn for the unexpected. There was nothing planned except Sainsbury's delivery 1-2 pm. I rang the vets fairly early because Eva's limp isn't getting any better, despite very careful exercise, to book her in for Monday. But I was offered an appointment for 11 am at our nearest surgery. So it was all systems go to get there on time. It seems Eva has probably torn a ligament in her knee, and that will need an operation to fix. But she needs an X-ray first to be sure. That is booked for next Friday. In the meantime she's got painkillers which won't stop her limping but will ease the pain. She was very good at the vets. We always muzzle her because she's usually frightened and the vet commented on how good she was having the muzzle put on.

On the way back home, the Sainsbury's delivery driver rang asking if we'd like our order earlier. She was travelling from the same town, and was just a couple of minutes behind us!

      Oh poor Eva, Daisy.
Little E Enjoyed the nature reserve. Lots of carrying sticks and poking things with them
The lake wasn't totally frozen this time, but there were a lot of frozen patches.

      That was quick delivery Oma!

Little E and daddy have just left to visit mummy. I will go once they leave. OH will drop me off, so no need for bus or the horrendous car park.

Gem, I'm sure little E will tell his Mummy all about his adventures this morning. Thank goodness you haven't got to worry about parking - if it's like our main hospital, it's a nightmare.

DD3 will be very pleased to see you. Sending hugs. xxx

Dr rang I have Subacromial bursitis and arthritis in my shoulder,
so I'm having a injection on the 29th to help with the pain .

Had MIL shopping she spent a fair bit so well stocked up,
Emptied her recycle bin in the kitchen ,put her shopping away
B made her bed and brought her bin in after the bin man had been,
So that's us finished till next Thursday,
I'm doing nothing over the weekend,

          Gem
I hope DD can chat to you when your on your own and I'm sure she will need a cuddle from mum xxx

          Daisy
Poor Eva, that's not going to be cheap a x-ray and operation ,
But what's best for her is a priority isn't it.
Nice to get a early delivery from Sainsbury's though 😁

Yes we get all our bloods done at our surgery,
It's better than having to go to the hospital for us.

Oma, no wonder your shoulder is painful. But at least you will get some pain relief now. Glad to hear MIL has stocked up on food. All those little household jobs mount up though and who would do them if you and B didn't or couldn't. Enjoy your relaxing week-end.

No, if Eva needs an operation it won't be cheap, but insurance for her is more than we pay for the cars, so we've got a little rainy day fund for such things. I hate going to our surgery with blood tests. The hospital is much quicker, and I never get bruises because the phlebotomists are brilliant.

Oma, I hope your shoulder pain eases a bit now. Have you been told what to do or not do? Take your own advice and rest it over the weekend.

Daisy, sorry to hear Eva needs an operation. Vets bills are very high but when needed it is good to have insurance.

Gemini, thinking of you and your family. I suppose GS is too young to be worried about his mother. Also he has been used to be spending time with you.

Laying on that side is difficult ,
It's on my prominent side so it's painful all day when I'm doing stuff , especially if I try to reach up or moving it too much,

                  Daisy
DD stopped her insurance she has a fund put aside for the animals ,
The insurance find all ways to not pay out don't they.

Did you get your sewing machine sorted?

No I am not seeing the Dr till the 29 th So no doubt I will be advised then what I should and shouldn't do.

I have had injections in that shoulder before for frozen shoulder , so seems it's always going to be a problem.

Plant, the one time we made a claim on Eva's insurance we actually got very little. The amount they paid out was reduced to almost nothing - I forget the figures, but it wasn't worth having, so we cancelled it. Premiums were over £120.00 a month! Even the vet today was saying she cancelled her cat's
                    insurance for the same reason.

Oma, I don't blame your DD cancelling her pet insurance. You might as well just put the money on one side in your own bank account.

                      Good morning ladies.

We are going to the farm shop and then on to the garden centre.
I'll have to limit myself at the farm shop, haven't got much freezer space. Probably just get some steak.
We will eat at the garden shop.

Hubby isn't a big believer in insurances, but we haven't got any pets.

We have the necessities, building and contents, life and car and quad.

He won't buy extended warranties either that are offered when buy household items like a washer and what have you.

The pet insurances seem very expensive.

Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

                        Good morning Nan2 and everyone

I agree about the pet insurance, with always having had at least two pets the cost would be so high and as Oma said often they don't cover what you need it for. We said when we got this kittens last year that we would have some savings set aside for vets bills, as Daisy has. We havent done that so must sort it out.
We don't take any of the extended warranties either Nan2.

Oma, your shoulder sounds so painful.

No plans today. We were going to friends for a meal tonight but have cancelled, or delayed, as I don't feel like socialising just now.

                          Morning ladies

                          Nanto
                          Enjoy your lunch out,
It's so tempting to buy too much when you go to the farm shop isn't it ,

We never take extended warranties out either ,
these days the likes of washes etc are cheaper than the insurance sometimes.
You get 1 year free anyway .

                          Gem
I agree , your not up to socialising at the moment ,
But it's something to look forward too when you do.

My shoulder is a bugger, at the moment I can't lift it very far so getting stuff out of cupboards is a nuisance,
Or moving it too much , but hopefully when I have the injection it will be ok ,
I was up during the night in pain with it , I woke up laying on it ,
A couple of pain killers and a hot pack helped.

                            Good Saturday morning everyone.

Nanto, I love the graphic. It reminds me it won't always be winter. Enjoy your shopping even if you have to be strict with yourself!

Gem, I can understand you not feeling like socialising tonight. Sometimes you just have to do what's best for you. Take care of yourself and try to relax. Xx

Oma, poor you. Your shoulder sounds very painful and it must keep catching you unawares if you reach up for something or stretch a bit too far. Do you take pain killers before you go to bed? Disturbed sleep must make you feel worse.

We never take out extended warranties either. My OH is very good at checking insurances before renewing them and we only insure for the must haves and basics.

No plans for us today but we've got a new vacuum cleaner - and I might be persuaded to give it a good try out downstairs. I've already done the kitchen floor after dropping a little glass dish this morning. How can such a small item shatter into so many little bits! 😬

Daisy last night I dropped and broke our salt dispenser. One of those battery powered ones. It is obviously the time for dropping things!
It was perspex not glass though, so the only mess was rock salt on the kitchen floor.

Gem, I still don't know quite what happened to make me drop the little dish. It bounced across the work surface first, and nothing survives our tiled kitchen floor. I can imagine the salt made quite enough mess!

Then I went into the living room and saw Eva had been sick right in the middle of the hearth rug. I think it must have happened before she had breakfast, which was a blessing!
