I am, apart from all my aches and pains I have acquired, fine. Nothing much happens in my days most of the time. We are just about clear of the remains of the virus that DD and Sil came home with. Dil popped in after work, she is such a good friend. Don’t see much of son but that’s men for you. I have a reasonably busy week ahead. I hope that baby arrives soon, not overdue yet.

Oma, I am sure Finley will love his book.

Daisy, I hope you all had a lovely time celebrating your OH’s birthday.

Nanto, When and where are you going on holiday, perhaps you shouldn’t post the when! Never know who is looking in. Your food always sounds delicious, so well planned.

Gemini, Welcome home, I am sure your family were pleased to have you back. It must have been nice to meet up with the Oma’s. I look back at those get-together, and I am so pleased we did it.

          That
          Good morning.

Daisy, I look forward to hearing about your weekend.

Plant, we are going to Salou.

We may be visiting hubby's sister and husband if they are going to be in.
          Otherwise no plans for us.

Hubby has suggested a KFC for dinner. That suits me.

How did the meal out go was it nice?
Did E get excited seeing grandma 😁

            Nanto
Love the graphic so calming 😁
I never have KFC but B likes a one now and then.

Its my dear sisters 80th today ,
I can't believe it, I still think of us as young with our children when I lived next door to her.

We might go over to M&S this morning,
B has stripped the bed so that's in the wash, I have done the housework that needed doing and cleaned the fridge out,
I might sort the cupboard where I keep all my plastic food tubs I use for MILs veg when we make meals,
It's a mess and things keep falling out.
Have a good day ladies whatever your doing .

I found out why there was such long queues to get into Dalton park on Saturday
They were opening a new big toy shop,
The queues outside the shop to get in snaked all around ,
They were giving gift bags out so everyone and there neighbour was there 😁

                  Hello again.

Ahhhh, Oma, that explains it!! Happy Birthday to your sister.

Daisy, take time to catch your breath after that busy weekend! I'm so glad it went well

Nan2 I bet you are both looking forward to Salou.

Plant, I too am glad we have all had the chance to meet up do many times. I haven't given up on us being able to do so again sometime!

Little E was so excited to see us both yesterday. DD said he was not happy to be unable to come to us last Thursday! We had a nice time with him, DD felt well enough to go on the Mushroom Walk she had booked on after a quick lunch at ours. We had very nice meal with our friends last night. That had better be the last meal out for while, we have had so many!!

When OH had the first of her recent hospital appointments they did an ecg. They found some irregular heartbeats. Nothing to be worried about they said but she would get an appointment for a 24 hour heart monitor. That appointment was this morning. I dropped her off and parked down a side street. She was back in no time. The bus would have taken so much longer and hospital parking is only free for the cancer treatment sessions, so it made sense for me to drive. She has to drop it back early tomorrow morning so I will drop her again and just linger outside the entrance.
                  Reflexology for me this afternoon.

                  Happy Monday everyone.

Didn't visit sis in law, something cropped up and they had to go out.
They said hopefully they will be in tomorrow.
Not bothering with a KFC, we will get one tomorrow, on our way home from sis in law.

So, todays menu is chips, peas and egg.

Because we haven't been out,i've made some chips for the freezer to use up some potatoes.

Cold here today, not sure what was forecasted. No plans today, next two day are quite busy so having a quiet day today. Expecting a delivery from Waitrose anytime now, fridge looking very bare. Baby just overdue now, they went for a long walk yesterday.

Gemini, I am sure the irregular heart beats recorded will be investigated, good job your OH was already being checked. I know your recent trip wasn’t quite what you wanted but it was a break with some lovely sea air and no stress. Lovely that you could meet up with the Oma’s

Oma, I have a plastic containers cupboard, it is annoying when you open it and the containers fall out. Every so often I have a cull and sort it out. Very pleased that you managed a meet with Gemini and S.

That baby is hanging on it's too comfy in there 😁

Well I had a right good clean out ,
I threw lots of tubs with no lids and lids with no tubs out,
Then I sorted the drawers out in the kitchen then the sideboard cupboards,
We had about 30 wine glasses that we don't use , we don't drink and people coming to the house drive so don't have a drink,
So they went in the recycle along with about 10 different trifle bowls,
                        I kept 6 ,
The stuff we hoard is ridiculous,
A glass tea pot I was always nervous using went in the recycle,
Paper straws I bought when GD was small still unopened , she's 12 now.
They were hiding at the back I forgot we had them.
I can get to the tubs without them all falling out now,

I then decided to sort the shoe cabinet out in the hall,
Put summer sandles away in the wardrobe and several pairs of shoes belonging to B went into the bin ,
He hates throwing shoes away but they had really seen better days,
He always says he will use them when washing the car but he never does so I wrestled them away from him ,
Another few jobs off the list.

                          Good Monday afternoon everyone.

Nanto, at least you can look forward to no cooking and a KFC tomorrow. Swans are fascinating creatures. I love watching them gliding across the water.

Oma, very happy 80th birthday to your sister. I hope she is celebrating in some way. I bet lots of people will be going to a big new toy shop at this time of year, hoping for bargains. Is the shop part of a chain? Plastic food tubs are a nightmare! I've got a collection of all sorts of shapes and sizes, but never the right one for any given item. It drives me mad. It's also impossible to stack them, so I put little ones into bigger ones, and then can't find them. Some years ago my DIL1 threw all her out and bought lots of new ones that all worked, and stacked together. She keeps them all in a deep drawer and you can see exactly what's there.

Gem, I'm a bit late, but welcome home from your little break. How lovely that little E was so excited to see you yesterday. It made up for Thursday for him, I'm sure. Thank goodness DD was feeling better and able to do the Mushroom Walk. Were they able to forage, or was it just looking and identifying them? Your social life has been hectic just lately, but at this time of year we need all the distractions we can get to take our minds of the impending winter. I hope everything is ok with OH's heart beats. I'm sure they can vary with all sorts of factors from exercise or temperature. I hope your reflexology helps that holiday feeling to last a bit longer.

Plant, it feels a bit chilly here today. It's dull and overcast. I hope the baby arrives soon. It's no fun for mum being overdue, plus everyone keeps asking. Well done on having a quiet day knowing you are going to be busy soon. I hope it's nice things.

Oma, our posts crossed. You certainly had a good clear out. It's something I keep meaning to do - kitchen cupboards, wardrobes and airing cupboard all need a good sort out. We have a very good WhatsApp group in the village where you can put a photo of what you want to get rid of (not selling) and if anybody wants what you're offering they just message you and collect it. It saves a lot of perfectly good things going to the tip.

Our busy week-end! OH was out for a meal on Friday evening, his actual birthday. Then on Saturday we were invited next door for a meal. It was delicious and the couple are such good company. We didn't get back till gone 11 pm. On Sunday we had ordered a buffet for the family. I didn't fancy doing all the cooking and DIL2 very kindly ordered it from a caterer she knows and went to collect all the food in the morning. She brought it over, as well, so I was able to set it out on the table in good time.

We knew it was going to be an "interesting" afternoon. Some weeks ago DIL1's dog Bailey had passed away and yesterday we were to meet her new dog - a 2 year old Border Collie cross named "Daisy"! They thought about changing her name but she answers to it and it suits her. There was also Eva, of course, and DS/DIL2's dog, Cooper at the party, and we had no idea how they would get on. Cooper and Bailey weren't very keen on each other and we always had to keep them apart. We hoped for a better relationship with Cooper and Daisy. It was a nice dry day, so they met up in the garden. They barked and barked at each other, all afternoon. Eva bared her teeth at poor Daisy though the glass door. This doesn't necessarily mean aggression, but I couldn't tell for sure, so we kept them apart. We do hope we can get them all to be friends eventually. I did feel sorry for Daisy. She's still very teenagerish, has gone through being rehomed and is still recovering from her spay. She's full of mischief and very lively.

We still had a lovely afternoon with the family, and OH was thrilled with his birthday presents. We did some tidying up after everyone had gone, but left most of it till this morning. We were both shattered.

Daisy, that sounds like a lovely if busy weekend. Glad it went well.
What was the surprise you planned for the anniversary couple, if you don't mind me asking.

Oma, i had a cupboard full of platic boxes, margarine tubs and ice cream tubs.
When nephew painted our cupboards earlier this year, i got rid of a lot of them.
I've kept a few because they are handy for freezing things in.
                              Happy birthday to your sister.

I'm off to sort hubby's phone out now. No idea what he's done.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Nanto, of course I don't mind you asking about the surprise for the anniversary couple. We don't usually, as a family, mark wedding anniversaries very much, but we thought 20 years was worth a bit of a surprise present.

When we were on holiday with our GDs in August we took our Nutribullet blender with us for daily smoothies. We've had this for years, but have been using it every day recently to make sure we get enough fruit/vegetables etc. Both GDs loved the morning ritual of choosing what to put in their smoothie, so that was what we got for the anniversary present, plus a basket of fruit to get them started! So it was more of a family present than anything, and they all seemed really pleased.

I hope your hubby's phone is ok. I find it really hard to help my OH with his phone as it's so different from mine.
