Good morning; when I was at DB2 the other week, they had so much fruit in the garden, his DW doesn't do anything with it all, so, it seems to go to waste, he did try putting it out on the street a few times for it to be taken, it was still there the next day!!!

I am not very pleased, the lift isn't working yet again!! Probably a mobility scooter, as usual!! My knee is improving, it won't help it though climbing 6 flights of stairs, hopefully it will be repaired today.

That lift has been a pain hasn't it.

It's so much nicer today , enjoy whatever your doing.

I went and got what I needed then took my sister's card to the post office ,
        She's 80 on Monday,
I almost fell over when the cashier said £3.19 to send it first class 😱

I am going over at some point so I could of taken it but I think it's nice when you get your special cards through the post ,
I don't think I will be sending first class again, I was shocked.

          Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I wish I had some pots in the garden looking as colourful as that. I hope the furniture moving goes well. Some times it can be really hard work. Chicken stew sounds tasty.

Oma, I hope B is ok after his flu jab. J felt quite ill for two or three days after his. Dark rye bread sounds delicious. Oma, that sounds very expensive for one card. I'm sure your sister will appreciate it, but even so ... I'm not even convinced that first class is that reliable any more. My OH sent a large envelope "signed for" yesterday and I think it was nearly £10!

Lizzie what a shame about the fruit going to waste like that. You must be very fed up with the lift problems. It sounds as though there should be two lifts in the building, in the hope that they won't both break together. It's hard for you climbing 6 flights of stairs, but there must be residents who quite literally couldn't do that and can't get out until it's fixed.

I'm feeling very tired again today, so trying to take it easy and not going to dog training. I told the Consultant about the tiredness yesterday and they are going to give me some extra 2-weekly injections to help. I look forward to being turbo charged on Friday!

OH is out for the day, playing cars at his friend's, so I might bake his birthday cake this afternoon. I could leave it till tomorrow or Friday, so I'll see how I feel after lunch.

Oma, postage is expensive here, we don' t have different classes, I was reading yesterday that a delivery will take at least 4 days!

I don't post many cards, certainly not to the UK, I would need to rob a bank!!

Lizzie, I suppose there are so many other ways to keep in touch with family and friends today that a lot of people give up on cards. I don't blame them. Four days really is snail mail, isn't it.

We still get quite a lot of junk mail in the post and it's hard to believe that businesses find these worth doing. I don't know anyone who jumps with glee at getting yet another invitation for say, a hearing test or a tour round the latest over-60s housing etc.

Daisy, GGD was 4 the other day, I posted the card a week before hand. The only exception are the cards when people have passed away, all family and friends receive cards announcing this. They are picked up at the house or funeral home and then they are specially delivered the next day. The friend I lost last year, her DH told me that it was all well organised.

We don't get much junk mail nowadays, just the junk e mails! It will be to save the paper I expect.

Just come back from a craft morning, I made a Christmas card! Games this afternoon, must have some lunch first. My eyes have gone funny, jagged light, will come back later.

Well I was wrong about the lift! Blaming the mobility scooters, it wasn't their fault, this time, a rubber cable had snapped, the one that opens and closes the doors, a strange story, it was as though they had been cut through!! They are now replaced and the lift is working again. The lift isn't even a year old yet

Ooh that sounds like a migraine Plant. I hope it soon passed.
We could definitely do a swap with our very nice cooking apples and your eating ones if we were close enough!

Nice to see your GD Nan2.

Take it easy today Daisy, and hopefully you will get your energy back soon xx

Oma, postage is so expensive now.

Lizzie, things like birthday or anniversary cards need posting many days in advance now to have any chance of arriving by the date

Ours friends G and A have gone now. It was lovely to have them here with us .
My back and hip were very out of sorts this morning after a tricky walk up and down on sand dunes yesterday. I am resting it today, but we may have half an hour in the pool later.

My eyes were okay for me to go to my board games this afternoon although I felt tired. My optician has already warned me that I am heading to have the op.

Gemini, I presume walking on the sand dunes wasn’t good for your back, perhaps the swimming will put it right.

Daisy, I hope the doctor’s suggestion helps. Your brain is telling you to do things and your body isn’t coping.

Goodness Oma, the postage will soon be more than the cost of the card.

Plant it was the up and down hill on the very uneven dunes which even with my stick was too much. I didn't realise how far we were going. We will find easier beach access next time!
I was in a lot of pain this morning it it has eased as the day went on.
We wanted a swim this afternoon but they closed it from 4.00 today to put chemicals in and we didn't realise or would have gone earlier. We will go in tomorrow.

Gem is right it does sound like a migrain without the pain,
I hope it's better for you now,
                            Do you need cataract surgery?

                            Lizzie
How strange but at least the lift is working now.

Oh my goodness , sand dunes are hard to walk on when your fit never mind when you have joint problems,
Please take it easy or the trip will be of no benefit to you both.

                              Good morning.

Plant and Gem, hope you are both feeling better today.

We had a lovely visit to GD1 yesterday, even though we were busy.
On our way home we went to the builders merchants for some pea gravel. Hubby thought they needed topping up on the strip of garden next to the drive.
Then we went to a shop for t-bags. It's a shop that buys in bulk,so you get them for a good price.
Also got some for sis in law. They called to pick them up, and didn't leave until 7.30.

No plans for today as yet.
Dinner will be pork steaks, mash and veg.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

                                Morning Nanto,Ladies.

Always good to see the Grand children isn't it Nanto
Hope your well stocked up on tea bags , do you buy Yorkshire tea?

Already been to Aldi for MILs bacon and bits she wanted,
B has Dentist at 10.30 to have a crown fitted,
They wanted to fit crowns to his front teeth but found they are too fragile after all the chemo ruined them so it's just maintaining them as long as possible.

From there we have to go to MILs at 12 to take food over we made then take her to Morrisons shopping.

Yesterday while we were in Asda I bought a JML little rechargeable hand held vacuum,
They were advertising them on telly,
I hate lugging the big hoover out and putting the attachments on to clean the crumbs from the knife draw so thought this might be good.

Not all JLM things are what they claim to be but I was suitably impressed with the suction on this little thing ,
It cleaned the draws lovely and comes with a couple of accessories,
                                It was only £19.99
Ideal for little jobs and so light,
No bigger than a travel hairdryer.

                                B said I'm easily pleased 😁
