Plant, I don't know how many hospital visits there will be yet. I hope your car is ok. I'm sure H has had a wonderful time leaving you little notes here and there. Sadly we haven't got any bluebells in our garden.
Oma, what a busy day you've had. MIL being pleasant was a bonus - did it make up for B being disappointed by the lack of his favourite cake? I hope you sleep well tonight in your nice newly done bedroom. Are you pleased with it?
We've had a fairly lazy day. We took Eva over to GS2's about 4 o'clock and stayed for a cup of tea. It was good to see the GDs as well, although GD1 left before us to go to karate. She's very pleased with her newly won blue belt.. We also had a look round GD2's greenhouse. It's lovely to see all the seeds growing and looking very healthy. He's a much better vegetable grower than I ever was.

Morning Nanto/ladies
Nanto
How lovely, I like a BBQ but we rarely have one . It's not worth it just us two but sometimes SIL does one and we get invited .
Daisy
Hope it's not a long day today and the pharmacy and bloods come back quickly ( they never do but you can hope π)
Yes the bedrooms are looking good,
I reupholstered our headboard it was grey now it's a soft pink and I have a long footstool at the bottom of the bed I have sent for the same fabric to do that, it should come today.
We have the Dog today so no going out anywhere , we might take him to the park, see how I feel as my hip is a bit sore and stiff this morning although a gentle stroll would help I think.
My next door neighbour text last night wanting to know what was going on at number 11 as there was a police car there.
How the heck would I know , I can't see past her car on the drive for one thing and for another unless I go and knock on the door and ask why they were there I have no idea.
She does this if anything goes on at the bottom of our cul de sac , she will text to ask what's happening.
I can't see down there , why she thinks I would know baffles me π₯΄Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma that neighbour must think you are queen of the cul-de-sac
Little E again today. Mummy is working and daddy laying a floor. He's staying the night as he was coming back tomorrow anyway. DD asked if she could stay tooIt will be nice to have her here for the evening.
Golf again for OH. E and I are going to Smyth's toys to collect some Bing play figures I ordered for him.

GD and H have gone swimming with friends, GD has had to use my car to get there. Very warm today, I have just tried to hot gun the weeds in the courtyard, not much success so I shall have to use weed killer. Sil cutting the grass as they go away this coming week, just for a week. I have someone coming to look at the garden on Sunday to do some work for me on the borders,
Oma, busy, busy lady, now time for a rest and admire the work.
Gemini, DD3 and little E staying the night, you will enjoy that.
Daisy, thinking of you, I hope you are not kept too long at the hospital. Are you able to sit in the garden after the treatment.
Gorgeous weather for a BBQ, have a lovely time with no cooking. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

It's been a glorious day here! I was going to go for a walk this afternoon, but decided I'd try and get rid of some of the weeds which have appeared in my garden. Did that and tied up my cyclamen plants which have gone wild this year, put some netting over my strawberry plants to stop the bed being used as a toilet b a rather nasty ginger cat. After all that I needed a sit down and treated myself to a Cornetto. I shall finish tidying up tomorrow!
I haven't posted much lately, but I have been lurking and keeping an eye on what everyone is up to. Daisy's trips to hospital brought back memories of when OH was having treatment. Bloods were always the week before so we didn't have to wait, but it was always nerve wracking going in to see the consultant and wondering what he'd say. I became very good at reading the blood results and knew what they meant! I hope she hasn't had too gruelling a day.
Healthwise I'm doing OK. Physio is pleased with the progress I've made, I can walk properly now! Only problem is a tight calf muscle and my scar, so it's massaging on a roller ball and exercise for the muscle and massage for scar. I had to have a back tooth out a couple of weeks ago which wasn't very pleasant as the root had fused to my jaw bone. I had lots of glares when I came out of the surgery an hour later from the people waiting to be seen. Seems to be healing OK, but it's not very easy trying to check by yourself!
I'm off to visit DS in Slovakia over Easter. I'm looking forward to seeing him again. Last time was after my op when he was my live in nurse! It'll also be good to see his new flat, looks good from the pictures I've seen. In July I'm up in Scotland, only for the weekend, for my niece's 50th birthday celebrations. I've booked a little cottage in their village as I expect they'll be hosting her brother and partner. At least I can escape if the family all get too much for me. I had a few days in Tenerife ( or Elevenerife as Nanto's friend calls it!) in February just to get away from the dismal weather. I really enjoyed my little break.
Life goes on as normal, I still attend art classes and help with reading, I've been having golf lessons and I noticed an improvement when I went to the driving range the other day. Not 100% sure about going out on a course yet though! I'm happy living where I am. though at this time of the year I miss my mini orchard in my last garden. I try and keep myself busy with various things! Don't see a huge amount of DD and family, but they're busy with their own lives and GS is about to sit his A levels before heading off to Uni, Leeds is his first choice.
Sending you all love and I'll pop back in again, probably when I get back from SLovakia . Take care everyone xxBelieve you can and you're halfway there.

Gorgeous hot day here too. Just like summer π
Nan2, I hope all goes well for OH.
Lovely to hear from you WG. Have a lovely time in Slovakia if we don't hear from you before then.
I hope you are OK Daisy, and don't worry about posting here until you are ready to!
Little E definitely not himself. He was fine on and off but a lot of crying and wanting mummy episodes throughout the day( which never happens)
I'm glad DD3 is here overnight as I think he would miss her too much. Hes had Calpol and milk and DD is putting him to bed.
She is supposed to be on a foraging course all day tomorrow and E here. We will have to see how he is.
SIL of course has his hands totally full with the floor laying.βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Nanto, what a shock after thinking your day was sorted. We tempt fate every time we say something, I know, but 99.9% of the time we get away with it. Sending you hugs. xx
WeeGranny, I'm starting to feel like a semi-resident at the hospital - we don't even need to follow sign posts any more and have our favourite fillings at Subway for lunch! I had the same nurse as last week for the injection - a lovely Portuguese girl, and we just picked our conversation up from where we left off last week! I only had to have a finger prick for blood sugars this week, so no waiting around for results, and miraculously the injection had come up from the pharmacy! You've made a very good recover from your operation, although I'm sure you had to go through the pain to get the gain.
It's good you've got several trips planned. All things to look forward to and enjoy. A couple of years ago we planted 3 cordon-trained apples against the south-facing fence. They take up hardly any space and are in full blossom now. We had quite a few fruits off them last year, but by far the best was a self-fertile variety called Scrumptious. They were big, red, very juicy and with a sweet but citrusy flavour to them. I think the training method is called oblique cordon and they only need a couple of feet for wall/fence space each. Or you could have some dwarf fruit trees in pots. Is your GS doing lots of revision over Easter? It means it's not much of a holiday for him, but he'll have a long summer to relax and enjoy himself.
Gem, poor little E, has doesn't sound his usual sunny self. In a way, I hope it's just a bit of a cold, but he must feel his little world has gone upside down with moving to the other room at Nursery. I hope he's ok tomorrow, both for his sake and for your DD's - I'm sure she's looking forward to her day's foraging. It sounds as though the floor is a big job. Did S find it hot on the golf course?
Plant, we tried a hot gun but didn't like it. I usually pour boiling water on weeds - it's cheap and works. It will be good to get some help with the borders. Did GD1 and H enjoy their swim?
Oma, did you sleep well in your lovely "new" bedroom? I bet storm's coat has been spreading all over the house - he's got plenty to share round, but hopefully he'll be feeling more comfortable after shedding all that. Your neighbour must think you have X-ray vision or extra-sensory perception. Whatever, she seems to have total faith in your ability to know all about everything in your cul de sac.

Morning Nanto
Hope his op is first thing , he will feel so much better without that horrible appendix.
I'm sure he will be up and about in no time
Daisy
How are you today? Yesterday sounded less stressful.
It's nice when you get the same nurse and you can chat isn't it.
Yes bedroom is comfy and light, I will be putting a new Duvet on today . I have stripped the bed it's in the wash ,I will give the old duvet a wash and get it on the line then it can go to the cat& dog shelter when DD takes things there.
God knows why next door would think I know anything , she's Mrs nosey so knows more than me π
Gem
Poor E, how is he this morning is mummy going on her foraging or staying in with him?
It's hard to leave them when they are off colour isn't it.
WG you have a busy few weeks ahead of you , I hope the weather in Slovakia is nice ,
Ouch the tooth, I had to go to the dental hospital to get mine cut out so I know how you feel.
We put netting over our boarders in winter to stop next doors cats using it as a toilet.
It's more that they dig up the bulbs ,
We. Have just graveled them to stand pots on so shouldn't have any problem this year π
Plant
How is GD feeling now , is she over whatever it was made her feel poorly?
I have tried the hot gun on the weeds but I can't get the hang of it it seems to take so long ,
Weed killer or hot water and vinegar is my methodπ
Have you still got all H's stickers up π
I'm off to Sainsbury's in a moment , I bought two short sleeved cardigans for the summer, didn't try them on then I did yesterday and they are huge and don't hang well so they going back.
Have a good day ladies.Im not fat just 6ft too small

Good morning everyone.
Nan2 all best wishes for your hubby today. My mum was about his age when she had her keyhole gall bladder op and made a really quick recovery.
Good to hear all went smoothly at the hospital Daisy.
Little E had a reasonable night and didn't need any Calpol so I think DD is hoping to do her foraging day .
We will probably take E out this morning. We are taking him home after his nap then having tea with them.
Very sunny again so I expect another warm day .
