Well both bedrooms are done ,
SIl had to cancel a job this morning as the suppliers sent the wrong vinyl,
So they came this morning got our bedroom done new underlay and carpet, then they lifted all the furniture back in for us and SIL said they may as well empty the spare room and do that rather than leave till next week.
So that's done too and everything back in place.
He then went to B& Q and collected gravel and compost for me.
      He's a good lad 😁

It's easy to let your thoughts run away with you but you can't help it can you.
      The roses are lovely.

Poor GD is it a cold she has or something else?
I hope you enjoyed your craft morning xx

Some Drs think they are god and have no bedside manners,
We had a GP like that , unless he could see you were on your last legs or an injury he would more or less say you were lying and wasting his time.
No one would make appointments to see him if they could help it.
He didn't last more than two years at our surgery.

Good aqua class and coffee with two friends. One who we thought was still away was back
This afternoon we went to Dunelm for a new laundry basket and Shoezone for some summer canas shoes for me.
It doesn't feel at all like summer though, very chilly here today.

Those sort of people make you wonder why they chose that profession don't they?

I hope you are both no worse for wear after the night camping Oma

I forgot to mention the "free" sites we have here in the area, I joined to get rid of my dining chairs, that didn't work for me but I am still a member, some of the items offered are amazing, this morning a solid oak dining table and chairs, toys galore etc etc. I don't need anything but I like to see what is going on!

Gem, very cold here today as well.

Oma, isn't it lovely to get the jobs done. Glad its all sorted now.

Lizzie, i know its easier said than done, but try not to worry.

We have Freecycle Lizzie, which is good for getting rid of things, and to look for bargains.
People can be cheeky though. We have known people just not turn up for free things they say they want, and often expect you to deliver the free item to their door!

Good morning. It's supposed to be warmer today. Hooray.

Only set plans are going for a pub meal.
We'll just see how the rest of the day pans out.

                  Good morning ladies.

Pub meal sounds a great idea Nan2

Little E day today. In fact I will see seeing him a lot over the next few days as he will be here Friday and Saturday too so SIL can lay a floor at their house. Poor little soul hasn't had a good week as he has moved into the next room at nursery and doesn't like it This is the last room which has children up to leaving for school. He's not 3 until July, is fairly quiet, not big for his age and still needs an afternoon nap - which he has hardly managed the two nursery days this week. I will be seeing DD3 tomorrow so we will have chat then. If he doesn't settle next week I would opt for him to go back to the previous room for a while.

                  Dull morning here.

Poor E he's isn't ready for the move yet by the sounds of it a,
Plus he still needs his afternoon nap,
GS2 gave up his afternoon nap very quickly but GS1 was way past 3 before he stopped ,
I think moving him back would be a good idea.

                    Nanto
                    Enjoy your pub lunch .

MIL for us this morning, then after lunch I must get our bedroom curtains taken up , since we put the new curtain pole up they are resting on the floor and not hanging right.

I will sit on the floor and hand sew them while they are up rather than taking the whole pole down.
B said he will thread the needles for me 😁

Oma, he kept saying to DD and SIL that he didn't want to move to the big room. They thought he would be fine when he got there, but it was very hard for SIL to leave him and he hardly slept over the two nap times, he seems to be starting a cold or something which of course won't be helping the situation!
                      I hope MIL is pleasant!

Good morning, it is a bitter cold wind! I was going to the market in Delft but I won't bother.

Gem, it will be difficult for GS3 to make such a change, GD1 is doing her work experience at the day nursery and now GD2 is doing her work experience there for 2 weeks. We had a young boy at the office for 2 weeks, his mother is one of the volunteers doing the tax forms, a difficult boy to connect with, his mother was surprised when he went home and said " I got on really well with J", she said he hardly ever speaks at home then he sits talking to you!!! He has ADHD, he seems to cope well at school, outside school gives more problems, he did enjoy his fortnight with us and came with a small gift, well 2, one for the others and one for me!!!

Oma, you will be pleased with your bedroom carpets etc.

I want to go to the library then early evening a meeting at the housing cooperation about the renovation.

                          Good Thursday morning, everyone.

Nanto, the sun was nice yesterday, but that cold wind wasn't! Enjoy your pub lunch.

Gem, it does sound as though little E isn't ready for the move to the 'big' room yet, and if he needs an afternoon nap he needs to feel comfortable there. Also the other children must seem very big to him, and perhaps noisier and more boisterous. If he's starting a cold as well no wonder the poor little soul isn't happy.

Children vary so much in needing day-time naps, don't they. I remember GD1 was still having an afternoon nap in the summer before she started school in the September, but she's a late August birthday so was only just 4 when she started school.

Oma, are you pleased with your new carpets? It sounds a lot less trouble to sit and hand sew the curtains than take them down and have to put them up again. It sounds as though B is a good needle threader. I hope MIL is on good behaviour today.

Lizzie, you must have made a special connection with that young boy. How sweet that he gave you a special gift after his 2 weeks. I think a lot of children cope at school, but are exhausted when they get home. My GS1 who is 21, often goes for a sleep when he gets in from work. He loves his job and works hard, but it takes its toll on him and just needs to relax and unwind.

Are there changes to the proposed renovation of your flats?

Plant, you had a busy day yesterday. How did your afternoon go? How is GD1 today?

No plans for us today. OH has to go for a routine blood test this morning. I'm going to do nothing much except tidy out the fridge. Sainsbury's turned up half an hour early but luckily OH was up and dressed. We'll take Eva over to DS2's this afternoon because it's hospital day for me tomorrow.

Daisy, How many hospital visits will you have? Is it a course of treatment? I am sure Eva will enjoy her day out.

Lizzie, how nice that the little boy commented that he liked you and gave you a present.

Gemini, GS2 obviously isn’t ready to move to the larger room, I hope it can be arranged for him to move back.

Oma, I hope the curtain shortening went well. Let’s hope Mil is having a good day.

H is on 2 weeks holiday from nursery, she has spent the morning with me, mainly with a small pad and sticky tape. We now have a house full of her notes stuck everywhere. My car is in our local repair garage, something to do with transition, the light keeps coming up. Hope it isn’t too expensive. DD will take me to fetch it later.

MIL was in a chatty mood today, quite a pleasant visit for a change.

We called into Morrison's for a cake for B but they didn't have what he liked.
We then on the way home went to Aldi ,
Came home had lunch then to Iceland and the local fruit & veg man.

I then set too with the curtains , B threaded several needles and it didn't take long at all to take them up.
I then did some ironing .
B put the gravel on the boarder and when I came downstairs I re potted a fuschia into a new pot.

I feel we haven't stopped since we got up this morning.

Isn't it nice H has left you lots of little notes 😁
Hope the car wasn't too expensive.

The garage wasn’t able to sort the message that the car was reporting (not too difficult) but their testing equipment they needed wasn’t working so it will have to go back when they have sorted that. H and I did have fun this morning, she has been to the library on the bus with her mother this afternoon Pleased to read that Mil was in a pleasant mood.

Have any of you got any bluebells coming up?
