Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

You will be tired Nan2 , take it easy today.

Library this morning, and maybe GS1 this afternoon - but his day often varies!
The golf course is still largely under ice, so no golf for OH yet again.
Tesco delivery between 5 and 6. It's a good job I got the reminder as I thought I had booked it for tomorrow!
I happened to check my phone at 3.30 am, a cancellation had come in for aquafit, so I have got a place for tomorrow morning

      Morning Nanto/ladies

      Nanto
Nights like that drain you and you have no energy to do anything in particular,
Have a good rest it will all wait till tomorrow I bet.

      Gem
Just as well you looked on your phone,
Poor S will be going stir crazy no golf 😁

      Daisy
Sounds like you didn't have a good day ,
How is J's eye this morning?
Was Eva ok when you got home?

      Plant
How is H is she still wanting to go to nursery or is she feeling too poorly?

      Nanto
I like a home made meat and potato pie, not keen on shop bought it tends to be sloppy I think,
Savoy cabbage or Cavolo Nero cabbage are my favourite veg .

Today I have my tooth out and false one fitted ,
Should have had it done before Christmas but with having that bug it had to be cancelled,

I am lucky I don't mind the dentist or procedures so I'm not nervous or worried.

Good morning, I am feeling much better now, one of the young ladies at the office had the same reaction to the same flower! She was the same as I was and thought she had the flu!

DS1 and DIL are on their way to the shuttle for a few days in London, DS1 has a conference there, DIL was going to Sweden with him but he is only there 2 days so not worth the very long drive, this way DIL can work in the hotel whilst he is away then they can enjoy the evenings, Thursday is their "holiday" so they will be walking a few km's!

Nanto, I do hope that you haven't a virus.

Plant, children can be ill one day then running about the next.

Oma, good luck with the dentist, it never bothers me to go to the dentist.

Daisy, you did have a lot of delays yesterday, there are so many traffic problems here, I hope that your DH is feeling better today, the "new" lady at the pool is having tests etc this week for one eye, apparently there is one black spot, if it isn't treated quickly she will lose the sight in that eye.

Gem, you will be pleased that you got into aqua, we had an emergency there yesterday, the lady that goes with me and a friend got trapped, under water, in the steps! The man was altering the floor level, we are told to keep in the middle of the pool, they happened to be on the steps and they folded out with them on it, one had her foot trapped and the friend her leg, it was awful to watch, we all thought her leg was broken, the boy was soon in the pool and got the other men to help, as it was her leg wasn't broken, but, I have messaged her this morning and haven't had a reply yet.

I want to go and sort some plants out this morning, it is so cold though.

          Oh good lord Lizzie!!!

I hope all goes well at the dentist Oma. Even though you aren't worried about it it still takes it out of you, so have a nice relaxing day when you get back.

            Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, do you know what caused your sleepless night? It's definitely a day to take it easy and rest today. A nice, easy dinner. I did sweet potato chips in the air fryer last night with fried eggs, white cabbage, peas and sweetcorn.

Gem, S must be very fed up with the golf course being closed again. This winter seems worse for closures than usual. I'm impressed you checked your phone at 3.30 am. Getting the cancellation at aqua was lucky. The Tesco delivery would have been quite a surprise if you hadn't spotted the reminder. I hope GS1 is ok for this afternoon.

Lizzie, it's shocking how one plant can have such an effect, isn't it. I'm glad you're feeling better. I hope DS1 and DIL are wrapped up nice and warm. It's sunny here at the moment, but very, very cold. Have they planned what they're going to do in London? That accident at the swimming pool could have been a real disaster - how frightening for all of you.

Oma, I hope all goes well at the dentist. But I agree with Gem - it does take it out of you, so Admin orders - take it easy for the rest of the day. xx. Eva was fine, thank you. She doesn't seem stressed when we leave her but she always gives us a good welcome when we get back.

Plant, I hope H has bounced back to her normal cheery self now. You do feel for them when they're not well, don't you.

WeeGranny, thank you for the catch up the other day. I'm sorry I didn't comment at the time, but it was so good to read that you are making such good progress and getting involved with things you enjoy. xx

My poor OH. His eye is still scratchy and sore, and he's gone down with a lurgy of some kind. There seem to be plenty of bugs around, so I'm not sure what it is, but he started with cold symptoms yesterday and isn't feeling at all well today. At least he can stay in bed and has nothing planned. I've got a few odd jobs to do round the house - things I didn't bother with over the week-end - my own fault really. I've got a blood test just after lunch - mustn't forget. It's only the local surgery so hopefully won't take long.

There was a beautiful pale pink sunrise this morning. It was very pretty, and the sun is still struggling through the clouds.

Oh dear Daisy, hope OH feels better soon.
No idea what cased my sleepless night. Its just how it is sometimes.
              Don't forget your blood test.

Oma, hope all goes well at the dentist.

Lizzie, i don't think i have a virus, never been the worlds best sleeper.
Hope those who were trapped at the pool are ok.

                Back from the dentist
Tooth out false one in , I'm not sure I like the feel of it . It's tiny and very thin but feels massive and bulky in my mouth , I'm sure I will get used to it in time .
Still numb so not to sore at the moment .

It will probably take a while to get used to it Oma.

Poor OH with a cold and his eye Daisy

GS1 is here. I have strongly encouraged him to play Rummikub this afternoon! He only wanted to do one game ( which took a while as it was his first time) He picked it up and played well. I try to get him to do something none screen based when he's here, but it's not easy!

                  Miserable and wet outside now.

Gemini, Rummikub for me tomorrow afternoon, well done for getting GS1 to play.

Daisy, your poor OH, bad enough to have the sore eye but to have a virus as well is not fair.

Oma, it will take a time to get used to the false tooth

I have been with WI friends to a local church restaurant, now we are no longer a WI we are trying to keep in touch.

Just been next door for a cup of tea, H seemed quite happy but the nursery commented on her snotty nose.

WG, I thought Pauline Quirk had finished with her drama school but friends said her name is still there but apparently not.

Plant, well done to you and your WI friends for keeping in touch even though your local WI has closed. Did you have a good lunch? I hope the nursery weren't upset about H having a snotty nose - I always think pre-schoolers have permanently runny noses in the winter, but they are building up their resistance to colds and coughs.

Gem, well done on getting GS1 to play Rummikub today. It's good to have a break from screen-based activities. Perhaps knowing he played well will encourage him to play that and other games as well.

Oma, I think any changes to teeth seem strange for a while. I hope your smart new tooth settles down quickly.

                      Nanto, sleep well tonight! xx

My OH is feeling a bit better. His eye's less sore but he's full of cold. He stayed in bed till lunch-time, and has had a quiet day watching afternoon television! I got quite a lot done this morning - all sorts of odd jobs that had got left last week. I took Eva for a long walk in the Forest this afternoon. It was very quiet with no-one about, and she had a lovely run round, but found the muddiest, boggiest ditch to paddle in. Mud was plastered all over her paws and legs! But by the time we got back to the car she had somehow cleaned up. I've never had a dog who keeps themselves as clean as she does!
