Lizzie, you sound like you are feeling a bit better.

Oma, i'm another one that doesn't like marzipan.

Its been a good day here, weatherwise and company wise.
Clean dinner plates all round. Lemon meringue pie was liked by us all.

Hello everyone. Many thanks for all the kind thoughts today. Everything went well, and was exactly as Dai would have wished. Our niece is leaving tomorrow, so we're having a nice evening catching up on lots of news with her.

I don't know why today was so tiring, but I'm already ready for bed. I'll read all your posts tomorrow, but for now, thank you again for your kind thoughts. Night, night. xx

Good (early) morning, I was woken at 5am by someone knocking a door in, I thought it was a burglar, had a look out and there are 3 police cars, 2 ambulances and a lorry from the fire brigade in the street opposite, they must have needed the lorry to reach the second floor to break the door down, they were too late though as the police just arrived with the coronar.

That is the 5th there in a few months time, mostly older than we are, but, now we are the older ones.

Daisy, you would be tired, it would be an emotional day for everyone.

I have found the culprit of my sinus trouble, a flowering plant! dracaena angolensis, af7f541a-3cb1-4b5b-90cf-ad703a455ed2.jpg b5fad258-ed83-454f-a66f-6e46761b5c30.jpg

Oh dear Lizzie, what a commotion to wake up to.
Is the plant that's causing your problem inside or outside. Glad you've found out the cause.

Daisy, glad all went well yesterday, hope you have had a good night's sleep.
Lovely to have a catch up with your niece.

Don't think there will be much happening here today.
Hubby out for a couple of hours this morning.
Going to do a full English for dinner, it's quite a while since we had one.

Nanto, an indoor plant, I have smelt it for a couple of weeks but didn't realise it came from the plant, until this morning

                Good morning everyone.

Lizzie a sad and shocking start to your day.
That plant will have to go!

Nan2 we like full English for our main meal sometimes.

Busy day here. Hairdresser at 12.30. Before that we or maybe just I am going to sit in a friends house for half an hour or so, in case a workman arrives before she gets in from work. However, we are also expecting a boiler service and haven't been given a time. So unless they have been or said they are coming later, OH will stay here.
GS2 from school as usual, then DD, SIL and GS3 are staying the night. We will have fish and chips for tea, so no cooking

So sad but as we get older we hear more and more don't we,

It strange how plants can affect you ,
I am the same with lilies they give me migraines and the smell makes me feel sick ,
I can tell as soon as I walk into anywhere that they around somewhere.

I'm glad you realised what it was , will it live outside or will you have to donate it to someone?.

                  Daisy
I hope you slept well and your niece has a safe journey home,
                  It's a long drive.

How are you feeling has the cold
                   developed?

Waiting for Storm to arrive then B going to the tip,
We did book items for before Christmas but as we were both ill we had to leave it all in the shed ,
It's mostly packing polystyrene etc and some bits and pieces .

Oma, the plant has been "donated" to where I do the coffee on a Friday, to be honest, that is where I got cutting from.

I am waiting for the RAC to come and hopefully sort my car out.

Sil doesn’t think the RAC person will come this morning so I can talk to you. We tried to move it out of the garage but no luck.

DD at the Gym, GD1 working in the local cafe, H at pre-school, so just Sil and myself here. Quiet weather, no wind and no rain.

I can manage with lilies Oma but quite a few people I know can’t have them in the house. Pleased to hear Mil wan’t in one her difficult moods.

Daisy, nice to have a visit from your niece but shame it was a sad visit.

Lizzie well done for sorting out the rogue plant.

That's good news could it have been tiredness and maybe a allergy?
Either way better than a full blown cold xx

                              Lizzie
I'm sure that plant is better off in a larger space where you won't be so close to it.
