Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.
It seems odd that's its the start of a weekend, its felt like a permanent weekend lately!
Keep warm in Wakefield Nan2 Alexa has warned me about overnight snow.
Daisy, leave those light until it's not so cold.
I don't think we have any plans today. Although I have Minutes from over a month ago which I never typed up. I must see if I can make any sense at all of my scribblings after all this time. I also need to set some meeting dates, so those are jobs for today - or tomorrow!
Happy Saturday ladies.βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Morning ladies
Gem
I often can't read my own writing,
I made notes of what next door was up to incase the housing or police needed them,
I ended up doing them on my phone in notes so I could read them π
Nanto
Enjoy Wakefield I'm sure you will be wrapped up against this cold.
Daisy
It's a bit too cold to stand outside taking lights down.
B took ours down on Thursday,
The ones around the porch had gone out so he just ripped them down as they were going in the bin ,
The dog watched from the window and looked quite startled at the force he pulled them down with π saved getting the big ladders out.
DD coming this morning to pick Storm up , then two youngest grandchildren coming GS2 is bringing GD on their own .
DD sent pictures from the Lindt factory yesterday , they visited on the way to the airport it looks amazing .

Good frosty Saturday morning, everyone.
Gem and Oma, I thought I was the only one who couldn't read their own writing! Good luck, Gem with those minutes.
Nanto, you're brave going out shopping in these Arctic conditions. You will need lots of pit stops for hot chocolate and a good hearty bowl of soup for dinner.
Oma, don't grandchildren seem to grow up overnight! It will be strange your GS2 bringing your GD to see you. Is he driving now?
OH says he's going to brave the cold and take the lights down this morning. To be honest, it's not a big job and they can be reached from a step ladder, but we want to get the boxes of decorations up in the loft.
I'm still wading through loads of washing and not looking forward to the ironing. Eva seems fine, but I'm keeping an eye on her as some meds seem to upset her tummy.

No he doesn't drive but the bus stops just outside there house that brings them to our shopping centre and B will pick them up from there, then take them home later.
DD came for Storm he went loopy when he saw her π
She brought a huge selection of Lindt for B, a few I like as well and a Lovely heavy duty Lindt shopping bag for me ,
ββββββI'm well happy , sad isn't it to be happy over a shopping bag π
I've cleaned dog bowls and they are away , hoovered again , washed the cover from his bed and been out and cleaned the outside of the patio windows where he has jumped up to let us know he wants to be in ,
Big dirty paw marks and nose marks.
Everything back to normal now , it does seem quiet without him already.Im not fat just 6ft too small

Nanto, is Wakefield a bit more sheltered than home? We often don't get quite such wet and windy weather as, say, Winchester which isn't far away, and I think it's because we get some protection from the Isle of Wight from weather coming in from the south or south-west. I'm not complaining, by the way!
Oma, I hope you and B have had a lovely time with GS2 and GD. I'm sure B wouldn't want to swap that bag for any of his goodies! It must seem very quiet without Storm. I'm sure he's happy with you, but he obviously loves his mum as well!! I need to clean our back door after three dogs-worth of nose marks over Christmas, but we've got Missy the Sprocker from next door for a sleepover, so it might as well wait a bit longer.
The washing pile is going down quite nicely, thank goodness!

Nan2 it's lovely in cold weather to walk into a warm house
Oma, I hope you enjoyed the GC's visit.
I hope Eva's tummy is OK Daisy.
ββββββThis morning we went to Tesco for more cat food and a few other things.
DD and SIL3 and little E came over this afternoon for a couple of hours which was nice.
I was thinking of starting to take down the Christmas decorations, but will leave it until tomorrow now.βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Sorry to be late reporting in today, I have had a lot of interruptions. I had an invite from DD and Sil to join them for a pub lunch and when we got back my Dil popped in to see me. She has just gone, we are expecting snow and ice so she has just left to get back before that arrives.
Oma, Remind me what your GC are doing now. Presumably your GS is still at some sort of educational centre and is your GD still into her dancing?
Gemini, I am having difficulty knowing what day it is. I was surprised it was the weekend.
Nanto, It is always warmer in towns, I hope you were not slipping and sliding around.
Daisy, pleased Eva seems fine after her trip to the Vets. Most people are taking their lights down, best to do it in case we have snow.

Been a busy day DD this morning then GC came and needed feeding and didn't leave till 5 ,
Just got tidied again , door bell went and it was my Niece, they had been to our shopping centre so thought they would pop in for a cuppa, they left just before 7 so tea was very late for us but we didn't mind it was lovely to see everyone.
Plant
GS 2 is in 6th form he wants to be a physiotherapist, he has exams next week but enjoying it ,
He's turned out a lovely young man and can talk for England.
He does kick boxing but has badly damaged his knee tore all the muscles and ruptured the cartilage,
He's had a MIR scan and has to have a operation to repair it all so can't kick box for quite a while now.
GD is growing up very fast she's 12 in April , she wants to be a dance teacher, she was doing gymnastics B called her Bendy Wendy, she's like a contortionist .
She does a lot of Dance competitions, she has a big national competition on her Birthday this year.
GS2 is very protective of her it's lovely to see although he does enjoy annoying herπ
Did you enjoy your pub lunch ? Nice to be invited isn't it .
Gem
You might have more time tomorrow to take the decorations down unless someone else turns up π
Nanto
Isn't it nice to come into a warm house
Did you buy anything special or was it general shopping?
Daisy
Getting washing done seems to be never ending doesn't it,
You wonder where it all comes from .
It's very frosty out the cars are covered and it's bitter cold we are in for a few bad days I think.

Plant, those interruptions are good ones. Was there a roaring fire in the pub you went to for lunch? I'm still having to think what day is it. I checked on my phone at one point today!!
Oma, your GD must be putting in a lot of work for that big competition. Does she get nervous. How nice that GS2 is so protective of his "little" sister.
Gem, I'm sure you would rather see family than take down Christmas decorations! We have still got the outside light to do.
Most of the washing was bedding and towels from over Christmas, Oma. I decided to have a few days off, especially as I was in pain with that pulled muscle in my side, otherwise I'd have done it as soon as visitors left. But I want to get bedrooms organised as I'm not sure how many members of the family are coming down from North Wales for our BIL's funeral the week after next.

Good morning, we have the snow this morning, the forecast is that is should soon clear.
Oma, you would enjoy seeing the GC, they do soon grow up.
Daisy, I am in a muddle with the days as well! All back to normal now though.
The neighbour I go to aqua with came up yesterday to tell me she wasn't going tomorrow as she is visiting her daughter, they have moved to near the German border, the SIL was here visiting his mother in the village so she was traveling back with him and will come home by train later in the week, then another lady phoned that she has the flu so maybe just the 2 of us tomorrow.
I want to go to the gym but will walk there, I went yesterday afternoon, it is usually very quiet on a Saturday afternoon, I didn't realise that everyone had new year resolutions , especially the young ones.
Plant, you would enjoy the pub lunch.

Good morning everyone.
I have just looked out of the bedroom window and it's a very snowy white world out there! It looks beautiful as no one has walked or driven on it yet.
Lizzie, they say gyms make great profit each year from people who buy subscriptions and stop.going by March! When I worked in the leisure centre crèche we saw it every January, so many keen new customers in January.
It sounds as though you have been running your own little laundry there Daisy
Your GC are really growing up Oma.
That was a nice social day you had Plant.
Decorations to come down today and Minutes to do. What funβA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Morning ladies doesn't it look pretty,
Storm will love this π¬
Nanto
Nice hearty meal for this weather I'm sure it will warm your innards up π
Gem
Hope you get both jobs done today , will you be venturing out at all or just getting on with those jobs?
Lizzie
I hope your friend enjoys her trip and your other friend is feeling better soon,
You take care walking in the snow.
Daisy
I bet your pleased to see the end of the washing , that's till a few days and it's piled up again π
GD seems quite at ease with competitions, she said she gets a few butterflies when she first steps on stage but once she starts her routine she's fine ,
B is making bread , I have all the towels in the machine ready to switch on after B is showered and the rest of the towels are brought down, floors cleaned and just the shower tiles to karcher when B has finished
Once a week I like to spray anti mould around the bottom of the tiles etc just so I don't get that pink or black mould stuff on them so I will do that when the tiles are dry.
Apart from that a very quiet lazy day for us.Im not fat just 6ft too small
