B took me over as I have to go across the bridge and down the back of the shopping mall ,
It's too dark and cold for me to walk over.

More exercises but ones sitting in the he chair to protect my hip.
Then see her again in 2-4 weeks.

Good to hear your doing so well ,
I have heard those walking poles are very good in helping with walking apparently it's the rhythm when you use them. It's always worth a go.

A new bed is something we put off buying isn't it but there does come a time when you just have to take the plunge 😁

Oma, seated exercises sound a good idea for you.

WG, good news that your consultant discharged you.

I have had 2 migraines today. One at the library this morning and one this evening. I don't get them often and have never had two in a day. I had a very poor night and am tired, so I think I had better have a bath and get to bed!
      Good night everyone 😴

WeeGranny, I'm so pleased the consultant is happy with your recover. The physio sounds very through and won't allow for any slacking! But that's all to the good, even if it's tiring at the moment. How lovely, having a new bed. No bouncing on it, now!

Plant, you've had more wintery weather than us. Sensible to stay in, but hopefully you will be ok for your games afternoon.

Oma, you know you'd miss GS if he didn't keep popping in!!! I hope the exercises help, and sitting down to do them is sensible.

Gem, I'm sorry you've had two migraines. You must have been very tired, but also dealing with the icy weather and the cold might have contributed. Sweet dreams tonight. xxx

Oh ... I forgot to tell you all about our fruitful busy day! We cleaned out the understairs cupboard. This was stuffed full of everything from Lemsips (well out of date) to the Vax carpet cleaner and pretty much everything you can think of in between - wine, shoe polish, feather dusters, first aid stuff, lawn mower battery and charger, shopping bags, clothes hangers for drying shirts etc, ironing board, dustpan and brushes (lots of!), a bag full of keys, Hoover bags and loads of other stuff. I can't even remember when we last had a hoover with bags!

It was like a nightmare version of Aladdin's Cave.

Most of it is still not sorted out and disposed of or rehomed, but the set of drawers are clean and tidy, labelled and back in place. The wine is on a shelf in the garage. Important keys are labelled and there are three bin bags of rubbish.

We've also gone through Eva's 3 toy boxes and sorted out those that are irreparable. Their stuffings will be recycled into toys that have a bit of chew damage, which can be sewed back together.

And I cooked home-made fish and chips for dinner!

Good morning, Daisy, you did have a very busy day with all the tidying etc! I decided on a drive to the design place for a look around, it is a good drive so got the car used. I didn't buy anything, I don't need any new furniture etc but I do like a look round now and again.

WG, I have poles for walking, I had lessons to start with , during lockdown I used them daily, now with the gym I don't use them as often, I should do really.

Oma, I hope the exercises work for you.

Poor you Gem, I hope you have had a good nights sleep and feel better today.

              Good morning.

Daisy, our snowdrops are just poking through, the daffodils are more advanced.
What a busy day you had yesterday. Nothing like a good clear out.

WG, glad the consultant was pleased with your progress.

Gem, hope you managed to get some sleep.

              Oma,hope the exercise help.

No cooking today, going for a pub meal.

                Good morning everyone.

Nan2, pub meal what a good idea! I think we should do something like that in this cold and dreary after Christmas time.

Daisy, those sort of jobs make us feel much better - once we get down to them!

Daisy, Lizzie and Nan2, I slept better thank you.

Aqua this morning. This afternoon putting all the Christmas stuff back into the loft is our job.
It looks very icy, I will have to defrost my car before I go out.

                  Morning ladies
                  Gem
I'm so pleased your feeling better this morning, as you know I suffered with migraines so you have all my sympathy,
I was told by a nurse to put your feet in hot water and a ice pack on the back of your neck,
It had something to do with drawing the blood down relieving the pressure in your head.

                  Daisy
What a clean out ,you will not know what to do with all the space.
It's amazing what we collect , open the door shove it in and deal with it later but then we forget about it 🤣

                  Nanto
                  Lovely graphic ,
It reminds me when I made them out of sugar when I could do sugar craft , so delicate and thin ,
I can't do it now you need a steady hand, I went to night school many years ago to learn.

A nice pub lunch is just the ticket.

B off to the hospital to see the eye consultant,
As he has to have drops in his eyes and can't drive DD has just picked him up to go with him
I'm going to get on with a few jobs ,
I'm having a cup of tea and a slice of toast first and 5 minutes on here.

Oma, my migraines are nothing like yours. I know lots of people suffer more than I do. They are just the annoying flashing light things which is generally gone in about 20 minutes if I sit down and do nothing. My mum had exactly the same type.

                      Good Wednesday morning everyone.

Nanto, pub lunch sounds very appealing. Enjoy watching your spring flowers coming up.

Lizzie, the design place sounds like somewhere I could spend a lot of time and (in theory) money as well. Have a lovely time.

Gem, I hope your car deiced ok. I'd love to be able to put my car in the garage - I hate it on mornings like this. I get exactly the same type of Silent migraines. As you say they don't last long but the visual disturbance is unsettling. I didn't even know they were migraines for years because I don't get headaches with them.

Oma, you must have had a lot of patience to do sugar work like that, to say nothing of your decorated eggs. It's sad you can't still do them, but you must be proud of your skills. I hope B is ok at the eye hospital. Is it a regular check up?

There's no dog training at the moment as the village hall where we meet is having a new roof. So we should have been going on a Forest walk this afternoon, but it's been cancelled because of the weather alerts/warnings. I was in two minds about taking Eva anyway as she's on antibiotics and anti-inflammatories, so it gives us a free day to carry on with sorting things out!

Well that's good , do you feel sick with them though?

I've just cleaned the fridge out , well overdue I haven't cleaned it since Christmas, I've wiped it out but not a good clean,
I then blanched some Cavolo Nero cabbage I bought on Monday.
We were going to have it tonight but B is doing a Gammon joint and he wants chips with his.
I didn't want it going off so in the freezer it goes.

                        Daisy
I miss all my crafts, funnily enough the only one I wasn't into was card making , it didn't seem to appeal to me
I did make all the sugar flowers for DDs wedding cake I was very proud of that.

No not a regular checkup, the opticians recommended he sees an eye specialist, like many of us he has a wrinkly bit behind his eye and with the problems he's had recently it was decided he would see a specialist.
He's fine but always best get it checked incase he needs any treatment,
He does have regular eye drops for dry eyes and plastic tears .
The man's dropping to bits 😁

Oma, your DD must have been thrilled you made the sugar flowers for her wedding cake. That's very special. Fingers crossed B's eye are ok, but you're right - it's better to get them checked. Eyesight is very precious.

I've tried making cards, but I'm useless.

The migraines don't make me feel sick or anything. It's just the flashing lights, and I don't get them very often.

I have jagged light in my eye occasionly, which I presume is a sort of migraine, it doesn’t last long, GD has decided she is finding it difficult to fit my cleaning in so I have got back to the company I had before and they are sending someone on Tuesday. GD has just been in and changed my sheets as they were overdue and she makes a good bed. H is very excited, she is having a party on Sat. She will be 4 on Monday. Her speech is improving since she started at the new nursery. We still have quite a bit of white stuff on the grass. Games for me this afternoon, nice to get back to normal.

Oma, I can remember you making those beautiful sugar crafts. I hope B gets on okay at the hospital check-up. You haven’t cleaned your fridge since Christmas! Does blanched cabbage freeze okay?

Daisy, what a sort out finding buried treasure. I have a drawer like that, when I can’t think where to put it I put it in there, never to be used again.

Nanto, enjoy your pub meal, no cooking for you today then, enjoy.

Daisy, will Eva be off her medicines soon? You must miss your long walks.

Just back from our pub meal, both of us enjoyed it.
We went a bit earlier than usual, both of us were hungry.

Earlier this morning, hubby was at a bit of a loose end, so offered to help me do a cupboard out.
I told you a few days ago about throwing out the old routers.
Today,we found 5 tv boxes. The ones that enabled you to watch freeview before tv's came with freeview built in.
No idea why we kept them. I've come to the conclusion that we don't like throwing anything away.

Gem, glad you are feeling better today.

Yes it freezes Well. I plunge it into boiling water for a few minutes then into cold ,it helps keep it's colour,
I then drain and pat dry with paper towel and bag it up .
Fridge was getting wiped out but not a good clean and sort out , I couldn't be bothered when I was poorly so it got neglected 🥴

H is coming on in her own little way, I bet this time next year you will all wonder why. You worried .
Can't believe she's 4 already, doesn't time just go by with a blink of the eye.

                                Nanto
B would be like that , keep everything just incase .
I make him put anything like that in the shed then once in a while he will decide he doesn't have room and have a clear out without me nagging 😁

Eye Dr thinks it's still Graft v Host after his transplant said his right eye was very dry that's why it bleeds when he rubs his eye.
Gave him eye drops and cream and said he will see him in a year unless anything he's worried about,
Apart from that all's good .
He did say it was good he had seen him as he could get the right drops that the GP wouldn't have prescribed.
