I don't watch much TV but last night I watched Gavin & Stacey and really enjoyed it ,
Then part one of Call the Midwife, tonight I've watched part two.

Only thing worth watching at the moment.

Sounds a lovely day, at least GS3 will be ready for bed when he gets in,
My GS2 always loved Christmas pud and mince pies as a toddler, it's a strange taste I think at that age.

We bought a M&S curry deal the other day for tonight, it was very tasty but I think we ate a lot yesterday considering we haven't ate much for a while , so tonight we were still quite full.
we managed about half then we gave up.

Oma, I've recorded Midwife, looking forward to watching it.

We are eating out today. I've got a voucher for Sizzling Pubs.The nearest one to us, is less than a 10 minute drive away.
I've booked a table. DS1 and GD2 are going with us.

Back to normal for us today, hubby is out with his pal later for a couple of hours.
Both have said they are looking forward to it.

I did the washing and housework that needed doing then we went to ASDA,
I needed a new microwave,
I was cleaning mine out this morning and what I thought was some burned food on the bottom when I started to scrub a large flake came off it was actually rusting ,
I did say to B this morning when I was heating the milk for my porridge that it smelt funny , that's why I was washing it.

We have had it a very long time so can't complain and it only gets used for reheating and defrosting.

GS coming for lunch , that boy won't stay away 😁
Apart from that it's a easy day.

An easy day for us. We have just watched both Christmas episodes of Call The Midwife and had a bit of a tidy round after yesterday and got the Christmas tablecloths in the wash.
Nothing else we need to do today really. We have plenty of recorded TV to watch!

Jus got back from our meal out.
Steaks were cooked to perfection,as was the rest of the meal.
All 4 of us enjoyed what we had.

I'm glad you had a good meal. I cant eat beef any more and do miss a good steak!

It sounds as though most of us have had a relatively quiet day today. (We had ours yesterday).

It's been damp, dull and misty here all day. The funeral was at a woodland burial ground and I was glad I'd put sturdy shoes on as the approach to the building was very muddy. The service went very well, and We had chance to catch up with a few people at the Wake. DS2 and DIL2 just went to the service and then back home to the birthday girl. We joined them, and the other grandparents later and got home about 6.30. By then GD2 had totally tired herself out with the giddy excitement of being 11. It was lovely to see her so excited.

Tomorrow we've got DS2 and family plus DIL1 and both GSs and all the dogs. I'll have to get a move on in the morning because I've done no preparation yet!!

We are going to Wakefield today. We don't need much, but it gets us out for a bit.

Daisy, this will be a busy day but a good one for you I'm sure
We were 11 on Boxing Day and we find getting everything ready and hot for lunch a bit of a challenge for so many, but fun and worth it!

Another free day today.
Yesterday we played our new Rummikub game, a present from DD3, and watched various recorded programmes, plus Big which was on TV yesterday. We had fish and chips for tea, so no cooking.
OH wants to go to The Range so we will do that, and perfect our Rummikib skills a bit more.
I started the day by taxing my car for the year ahead, so have done something productive already It runs out on December 31st and is in danger every year of being overlooked in the world of Christmas!

Gem, have fun and enjoy your free day. Is OH shopping for something specific at The Range? Will you eat out so y ou can both have another day with no cooking?

I didn't sleep very well. Whatever I've done to my side was really painful in the night and in the end I got up and prepped some food for today. I'm doing a double roast - a chicken and a joint of beef - so the chicken is now in the oven and I'll get the beef in soon, then I can get on with peeling veggies etc. OH has gone for a hearing check as his new hearing aids need adjusting.

It will be nice to have the family together.

Good morning everyone, I had a bad nights sleep the other night Daisy, my left arm was hurting so much I thought it was a heart attack! It was better yesterday morning so I went to the gym, I was telling the trainer, he said I must phone the surgery about it! By the time I left there were 3 of them telling me I MUST phone, so I did!! The lady asked me all the questions to cancel out the heart problem, it was no to them all, she said she would discuss it with the doctor and be in touch, the doctor phoned me and said it was probably a muscle problem or my shoulder, that was my thought when I ruled the heart out! It has all been added to my file, if it happens again I must get in touch for an appointment. I made a roll cushion yesterday so I didn't roll over onto my left side during sleep, it must have helped as I had no pain at all.

You have a busy day Daisy but will enjoy having the family there.

Morning ladies ,
It's been a busy morning, I stripped the beds and got two loads done then went to Iceland B&M and Lidl.

Came home and my neighbour was out in her nightwear screaming abuse at the post man and the man over the road cleaning his car,
She then started on us as we got out of the car,
I'm not putting up with that so I shouted back at her,
She then got on the floor and started barking and howling like a dog.

I rang her social worker they wouldn't come out till the police were involved ,
So I rang them .
30 minutes on hold before I spoke to a very nice lady , they are getting two officers out but lord knows how long they will take.

Its been building up over the last week but this morning was particularly bad.
I'm so thankful they took her license away in the summer so she can't drive, someone came and took her car away last month so maybe she's banned for a while.

Oma, how awful to have a neighbour like that but I can’t help but feel sorry for her. Back to the shops for you, I am sure I can coast for a day or so.

Daisy, a busy cooking day for you. If your painful side doesn’t improve perhaps you should get it Xrayed.

GD1 has another infection in her throat, more antibiotic's! She has always had a problem with her throat and ears and was slightly deaf as a little one. Ears were dealt with but not the throat, she was in here with H but they have both gone for a nap. I went to look at GD’s and her partners house yesterday, I was very impressed, I think they have bought well, it is about 20 mins from here. Very quiet here after the big crowd yesterday. It was lovely to see my Physio GS, he and his wife were here for a couple of days after they had been to stay with her family. He is so caring and kind.

Lizzie, it is worrying when you get an unexpected pain.

A very quiet day for me, I don’t feel like food but will put something together for my meal later.

DD dropped Storm off , they traveling down to Leeds to spend the night in GSs Flat before flying to Switzerland tomorrow till Friday.

DD has arranged for a dog walker to take Storm out each morning and I will give him a short walk at tea time.
I can't walk far with my hip but I can still manage a 20 minute walk I think.

I will go to see to the cats and fish while he is with the walker.

All quiet next door , a lovely lady PC rang to say she was on her way but my neighbour had gone out by then ,
She gave me her mobile number and said if she kicks off again to ring and either she or a colleague will come . They have to see her doing these things before they can call in Drs and professional help.

My DD said I should have rang crisis, I never thought of them , I should have rang DD first for advice as she deals with things like this all the time and knows the score.
