WG, that is a disappointment! Roll on the 17th!

I have decided it is a cold I have so have cancelled my physio this afternoon, the girl has made an appointment for next week at the same time.

I am sorry to hear that WG so disappointing and annoying at the last minute like that. I had my knee op privately and presumed I was safe from cancellations. Seemingly not!

Rest up and get over your cold Lizzie.

Oh dear, I am very sorry to hear that you couldn’t have your op WG. You would think they would have known it couldn’t go ahead before you got there.

From the reaction of the staff when they found out the operations were cancelled, obviously it wasn’t known in advance that there was no anaesthetist! DS has had to change his plans to come back. He said it was cheaper to get a new flight rather than change the one he had!

I’ve spent most of the day tucked up in bed making up for the sleep I lost last night 😁.

Need to find something for dinner tonight as I made sure I’d only catered for a couple of days after my holiday! Typical!!

            Still pouring down here☔️☔️

That’s so annoying WG, especially when you’re all prepared for it, Hope you don’t have to wait too long.

feeling so much better today, slept really well and the cold doesn’t seem to much developing too much. I’m not going to any of my groups this week, still don’t feel up to socialising although my friend said she would pick me up if I wanted to go. I, hoping to get to the library on Saturday as that is a much smaller group and I feel I can cope with that.

My gardener came this afternoon and bought her little dog with her so I had company which was very sweet. She’s a dear little dog and follows me around. She tried to sit on my knee whilst I was knitting which didn’t really work!

WG, sorry to hear about the delay with your operation. It will soon get round to the 17th.

Hope all those with colds feel better soon.

It was a bit wet in town this morning, but i got all that i wanted.

Oma, we didn't eat out, hubby wanted to get home to some jobs.

WeeGranny, how incredibly frustrating to have your op cancelled at the 12th hour, so to speak. You must be frustrated, cross, and devastated. You were probably getting by on adrenaline and now that has nowhere to go. It seems incredible to me that preparations for an operation can get to that stage before they realise they are short of an essential member of the team.

I'm sure the awful weather just adds to the misery. Sending hugs.

I'm glad you had a lovely holiday, though. I think it takes a certain amount of courage to book a solo holiday, so I'm glad you've found such an excellent company and a pleasant, friendly bunch of fellow travellers.

Enfys, thank goodness your cold is on the mend. I admit I was worried for you as there are some horrible lurgies around here at the moment. The little dog sounds lovely, but I can imagine she didn't help with the knitting. Eva loves to sit on your lap and so does DS2's dog, Cooper, That's about 60 kg all together (yes, they do both try to climb up together!)

Nanto, well done on braving the rain and getting all your shopping done. What did you make for dinner in the end?

Plant, a cold is the last thing you need at the moment. I hope it clears up quickly. Do take care of yourself.

Gem, did you and OH go out after her golf being cancelled?

OH's eye is quite painful. He looks as though he's got a black eye, which is unusual, and the eye itself looks red and sore. So he's had a quiet day doing nothing much, and I think he'll need the same tomorrow.

I seem to have had a busy day. I got all the washing done, although the last load didn't outside. I did some housework, portioned up dog food, pushed the sucky up thing round the house, made lunch, cleaned the utility room and did a few odd jobs. It was cloudy most of the day so I put a warm fleece on to take Eva out about 3.30, and after about 5 minutes the sun came out! Still, we had a lovely walk and got back about 4.30.

I hadn't given any thought to dinner tonight, so we ended up with a ham salad and a jacket potato. I must get something out of the freezer for tomorrow.

Daisy, we didn't go out. GS1 was here for the afternoon, and OH had a golf committee meeting at 4.

I'm sorry your OH's eye is so sore. Does he have blue eyes? I think blue eyes are more sensitive. My auntie has brown and never suffers after her eye injections.

I'm glad you are feeling better Enfys. You will gradually feel up to your normal activities I'm sure

Good morning guess what, it isn't raining.

Daisy, you were saying how you thought it was good that hubby meets his pal regularly. They meet up every Tuesday and Friday, and they speak on the phone most days in between. No idea what they talk about, but they are not short calls.
Yesterday i just did a pizza, i wanted to get the meat sorted for the freezer.
Hope OH's eye feels better today.

Going to get the slow cooker filled up with chicken stew for the freezer.

I think we'll have mash, sausage and veg today.

Good morning, I am feeling a little better this morning, I am hoping I am fine for Friday as I am planning on a day out, I have a Rotterdam card and can use it for this boat trip.

The workmen are busy installing the lift we can use for the 2 months it takes the new one to be fitted. The photo's are from the block in front of here, poor men working all day in the pouring rain

Just as well they can fit a temporary lift isn’t it.
I hope your up to your river trip , it’s looks very interesting,
I think you get to see a different aspect on a boat , places you wouldn’t necessarily notice otherwise.

Its the time of year for casseroles and stews isn’t it.

Maybe a little scar but considering what it was like it’s going to be nothing to write home about as they say😁

                              Good morning everyone.

                              No rain here either.

Nan2 I often find that men aren't as good at maintaining friendships as we are, once they retire. It's nice that your OH meets his friends regularly.

Lizzie hopefully you will be fit for tomorrows trip.

Aqua for me this morning, dentist this afternoon, just a check up.
OH has a follow up appointment about her new hearing aids.

We both have to go into town and back by bus, unfortunately there are a couple of hours between our appointments so we won't travel together.

Good Wednesday morning everyone. Just a quick hello as I've overslept and have promised to pop round to a neighbour's in a few minutes, then have to leave really early for dog training as there's a 40-minute delay through roadworks to get there.

                                I'll pop back later.
