Oh, Gem! Poor you. I really do sympathise. Why does she suddenly want to stop online banking? Has she heard something to put her off? I didn't know you could still have savings books, and the banks charge for statements through the post, don't they? Does that mean she will have to go in and do the transactions herself?

Would it help if both you and S explain the implications for her?

Enjoy Ikea - you're a bit naughty, making Oma jealous!!!

Morning ladies I will catch up later today just letting you know I survived lol, my eldest g/d is a dream at organising the twins, she did colouring, played cafes and shopkeeping, and they played out in the garden with a water sprayer well we all got a bit wet, meals were slightly chaotic we put the table and chairs under a shady tree so all the mess was outside, we had a picnic of crisp sandwiches , toast and marmite, salad and ham wraps, and chocolate mousse after ,I sent a pic of them under the tree to my DS and he asked where we were ! Didn’t he recognise his own home 😱 J at tea time manages to drop a cup of milk on the kitchen floor could have been worse could have been on the carpet, so OH cleaned up and mopped and I consoled J then on with curry for tea and cauliflower rice, and rice pud for afters all went home in a happy mood and me and J fell asleep , so today it’s toy collection dumped in the hall last night from various rooms, dishwasher to empty don’t think I’ve ever seen it so full, ironing , managed to clean sticky prints off tables etc last night and vac rooms will chat later 👍🏻

Daisy I will continue to go into the bank for her as I did for 2 or 3 years before I set up online banking a few months ago. (as I have POA and am named on the books and have my own card for her account) Just one more job of the many I do for mum, and this one is pointless! I didn't act on it the first time she mentioned this to me, but last week she was adamant I do it. I need to be cloned
Maybe I should buy Oma some napkins and post them to her!

Glad you survived Qwerty I would prefer to have my 3 all at once! Less days tied up and GS1 would love the company of his cousins.

Qwerty - what a treasure your GD1 is! You certainly had a busy day, though. Feet up today, my girl. Have a rest.

Gem - you deserve a medal! I'm sure I wouldn't be as patient. I know she's your mum, but you do so much for her, and you'd think she'd want to make life as easy as possible for you. I'm still wondering why she wants to change back, though.

Habit Daisy, she wants to see her book updated! And old age, and awkwardness, and having all the time in the world and not truly appreciating how busy my life is! That's my take on it anyway.

                Good moaning each!
we have a free day! Don’t know what to do next as I don’t want to waste it. I think I might make some earrings as bashing a bit of copper is quite therapeutic. The insides of all windows need cleaning but GCs will be here to stay next week so I won’t bother. Not much in the ironing pile so I can ignore that too.
BT man has been, apparently a car bashed into a BT box nearby and that was the cause of our problems. All sorted now.
Gem, enjoy Ikea...😬 Plant, have a good swim and enjoy the spaghetti Bol. Daisy, potter on, Qwerty, relax. All people with appointments, I hope they run to time.
                Enjoy your day ladies.

                    Enfys,thats awful about the shooting.

Got one eye on the computer and one eye on the weather. It's come quite cloudy.
Cleaned all upstairs and got bathroom towels and things on the line.

Had a really good session at the gym, feel a bit achey now but more energised.

More news has emerged about the shooting, Apparently armed police stopped a car in connection with a stabbing last week and one of the occupants was shot in the arm. He is ok and there are three people in custody.

Enfys that is shocking the shooting it doesn’t just happen in the rough parts does it , it can happen anywhere good the police have them in custody too much of this going on these days

Gem what shall we say she’s a character your mum is , but I agree my kids tell me I don’t know how busy life is and I think I’m in the real world !!
Well Daisy not long now before we break the chains of childminding sorry Gem 😌 we have 2 more weeks left and then we are away apart from pick ups from school in September ,next week Gem is a 3 dayer 😱
Clover see you did your good deed for the day , hope the appointment outcome is ok and all those others I have missed

Just had a lovely swim with GD1, she works next to the Leisure Center so I met her there and enjoyed a cuppa afterwards. Waiting for a wine delivery from Saisburys then off to have spag. bol. cooked by GS3 I have made some apple crumbles, the apples are dropping from the tree already, hate to see them go to waste. I will take one with me to GS's, I am sure he and his brother will see it off.

Daisy...I'm a sun lover, always have been, but yesterday seemed particularly airless and I really felt deflated, for want of a better description. It's only Cambridge United DS wants to see but by their opening matches they won't be worth the money! I might just take my knitting as someone else suggested! Just booked Sunday lunch at a favourite restaurant as one weekend is GS's birthday and he's desperate for Uncle T to be there, another I think he'll be in Scotland at his friend's and then he's away again!

Well so far the promised rain hasn't arrived though the black clouds are gathering. It is however a much pleasanter temperature!

Hope everyone is well and coping with all that's going on in your lives.

                              p.s. Daisy....our bank doesn't charge for paper statements...yet!!!

GS1 just gone home he's just lazed around all day he's done so much training this week in this heat its taken its toll today , but god for such a slim young man he can put the food away

Gem your Mum is like my MIL she doesn't like or trust online banking , FIL used to do it and that was fine but as soon as he died she wanted it stopped ,
Old people can be a challenge , just last week I had a argument with her about her Donor card of all things ,
She wanted me to put it in her safe , I told her she had to keep it in her purse its no good in the Safe ,
But it might get lost or stolen she said , well we will get another one if its lost and nobody is going to steal a donor card !!!

Took ages but she finally put it in her purse but I bet she took it out again when we left

Plant I often wish I could swim but im terrified of water I cant go further than my ankles in the sea even then my heart races and couldn't go in a swimming baths

Im not fat just 6ft too small
