We put the Christmas decs up yesterday and for once they went up without a hitch. The new lights on our tree really nice, so much easier than having to fiddle with ones on a loop. I will post of picture of the tree if I get around to it.

I have my appointment at the smart clinic this morning to get my blood pressure checked, hopefully it won’t be high as it has been the last few times.

Also the gas man is coming to service the boiler this afternoon so I must make sure I am home in time for him.

How is OH Enfys? Is the walking going ok?

Good morning everyone. It is much milder today.

My plans for this morning have been scrapped - I should have been meeting a friend for coffee, but GD2 is poorly. She's got a temperature, been up several times in the night and complaining of earache.

Mimi - I hope your BP is down. Stay calm.

I must get going, but I'll try and pop in later if GD has a sleep.

All ready for the off to catch the train to B'ham. I am always ready too early but it gives me the chance to say good morning dear friends. It is the birthday of the GD I am going with, she has been in to collect her present and a hug. Apparently we are meeting GS3 at Moor Street Station, I shall let them arrange the day, I expect GM will be paying. Have a good day everyone.

Have a lovely day Plant. We are picking the children up for early dinner this afternoon. Joseph apparently has gone veggie so we will go to Prezzo rather than the carvery we were planning. This morning we are going into Staines which is our nearest town to get husband a suit and get the last bits of Christmas presents for the children. Husband hasn’t had a new suit for about ten years and I think he will need one for Christmas festivities. I suggested tartan. Will not tell you what he said ......

Off to art group this morning. No idea what I’ll be doing but will be nice to,get out and have a chat with the other ladies.

Good luck with your BP, Mimi, fingers crossed for you. DH is going to walk up to the chemist to pick up a prescription this morning. Hopefully he can get there and back without any problems.

Not so cold here today, hope it stays dry as we have DDs dog this afternoon and he loves to be out in the garden. Might do a bit of gardening as it the last green bin collection this week.

We have a lot to do today. Buy a Christmas tree, collect something from Dunelm, and look around there, buy a couple more Christmas gift bags, drop something in to DD2 and SIL's office.
And make a Christmas cake.
Tonight friends have asked us to join them at the village pub for the quiz night.

Well I had a sleepless night again but I did get to see a beautiful big moon , did anyone else notice it ? it looked very big and bright last night the sky was so clear too .
I'm trying to get things done before we go away on Wednesday so its all done for getting back ,
B has gone to put new anti virus stuff on his mams laptop so I have cleaned the kitchen cupboards out then when we get back I can start stocking up on the non perishables I will want over Christmas ,
I have stripped the spare bed and will put fresh bedding on later then I will strip our bed tomorrow , I know we only away for 4 days but its nice to come home to a clean and tidy house .

Qwerty, do you have one of those lights which imitate sunshine for J ? I had one at the height of my depression and I used it every morning and it really helped. Might be worth a try.

Afternoon folk a bit of food shopping to do today and out for tea nothing posh but gets us out, made butternut and ginger soup for dinner and half in the freezer
We have finally got tickets for eldest nativity play tomorrow so taking twins should be an expedition ha ha, my dil is out for her works as meal so she’s dropping them off taking car back home and getting the bus so she can have a drink, DS is finishing work a bit earlier to pick car up and call at chippy so we are all having tea together which will be nice , I’m telling you now as I don’t think I will be on tomorrow until late 😀
WG he does sleep with the blind part way up to let the daylight in, think it’s the meds that knock him out maybe that’s what they are supposed to do

Oma I saw the moon it’s called super moon apparently every so often the moon is slightly nearer the earth, something to do with the earth not being perfectly round and so sometimes it seems nearer, that’s a layman’s version 🌝
Do you want to borrrow my long johns for trip I’m in my thongs now 😂 Im like you always strip the bed when going away and change all towel etc

I do the hovering out the door too Wednesday mornings breakfast dishes will be dried with Kitchen roll as I always make sure towels and tea towels are washed and dried any dish cloths or dish scrubbers go in the bin ,

I missed that Super Moon last night

We have our Christmas tree which will now stay in the garage until next Sunday when we will have time to do it. (we have GC overnight on Friday)
We got everything we wanted today, and when we dropped off something at the office for DD2 (who doesn't work Mondays) DD3 was putting the office Christmas decs up, so had time to make us a coffee and have chat.
We grabbed some soup for lunch in Wilko cafe while we were shopping (living the high life)
I am going to make the our Christmas cake next.

I saw the supermoon at 10 o'clock, and it was very bright.
Hubby looked out at mignight and said it was very very bright.
