Qwerty, you are right OH health comes first. We all want to help our kids, and we put ourselves out to have our grandchildren. Sometimes though we can't, and in the end GC are not our responsibility, we've already done that bit with our own kids! I hope your OH is much better soon. Nice of your DIL to bring those things for you

GS1 day today. He will be here soon. This afternoon we will go back over to theirs as he is on an all week swimming course near to where they live. That means DD will leave his tea for him at theirs, for after swimming, so I won't have to bother!

Thanks ladies OH is coughing well hope the meds kick in soon, I'd think we have had a reality check all of us including the kids that we can't keep this stamina up, we must accept we can't do as much as we used to . You are all right in what you say it's just accepting it after a lifetime of looking after family we need to look after ourselves , your right Gem it's their responsibility and it's our fault for not telling them we just trek on and don't say anything and as my dil says if we don't know we can't help.

I hope all poorly ones feel better really soon and hospital visits go well.
I'm trying to catch up with the washing after the family's visit.Luckily it's a good blowy day though rain is forecast for later.Well that will make a change.
We've just about eaten up the leftover food from the weekend with some interesting food combinations. Now what can I serve with chicken dippers?

Gathered 10 kilos of plums yesterday and have made plum jam with some of them. Rest will be shared out between neighbours. Still loads more on tree and our apple trees are full of fruit too. Have to laugh, when Pip goes out for his pre-bed wee, he picks up an apple and brings it in. He's buried one at the back door, gravel neatly piles up round it, one was on top of DS's laundry and the others in the bedrooms!!

I went to the hairdressers today and can now see. My fringe had got far too long.

Oh and GS2 were out for the day, so I managed a bit of 'me' time this afternoon, and took Eva on Training walk this evening. She did very well, apart from not wanting to walk past a gorgeous Old English Sheepdog and the trainer says a lot of dofs are wary of OESDs because they can't work out what the are, and don't recognise them as dogs.

Another early start for us tomorrow as OH's car has to go in for its MOT.

Thanks to all you who sent good wishes. Good & bad news I'm afraid. I wasn't aware but the consultant sent me for bloods & CT scan to rule out cancer... which it did. Phew. The results are good other than I've to have a very large hernia repair so will be knocked out for that. I don't mind any of this but the date of the op' is the 13th September so I'll sadly miss our meetup. I was really really looking forward to meeting my friends in person. Never mind, there's always a next time.😢

Nana, a shame you will miss the meet up, but your op needs to be done.
Iv'e got an appointment at Sheffield hospital today.Getting fed up of all the appointments, and not getting any further.
It's been 2 years now, and i'm no further forward. Going to ask today,if there will ever bee an end to it.
