    Phew, they have all gone

Lovely day, but GS1 had a bit of a meltdown towards the end of the day. Tired, and didn't want to go home. He is back tomorrow morning, but he was so whiny and shouty I didn't feel inclined to offer to have him even longer! Hopefully he will be much happier tomorrow!
I wont see GD and GS2 for ages. They go on holiday on Friday for over 2 weeks and we go the day before they come back! I will miss them. I'd love to be going with them, especially as they are heading for the sun, and villa with pool
The baby is a lot better but still not right, I hope he is by the time they go.

It's late but not had much chance to get on yesterday, I spent a lovely evening with my DD we went to a gin bar in Leeds last night just had the one ☝️ and then went to see Dirty Dancing it was amazing very tongue in cheek the fellow who played Patrick Swazy wow could he move lol thoroughly enjoyed ourselves walked through city centre about 10.45 it was heaving with young ones I don't remember nightlife like it when I was young, DD works in the centre so was able to leave her car in the works car park and there is security on so felt really safe . It's a different world out there ladies passed 10 pm but nice to be tucked up at home at my age I guess 🤔
Today I picked up eldest g/d for yet another busy week, we only have her tomorrow so going to Humber Bridge she's a bit of a twitcher so binoculars are in the bag personally I am looking forward to lunch myself , all 3 on Tuesday but my sis in law has invited us to her home she has just moved she knows we have all 3 but says she doesn't mind she must be crazy but life will be a little easier this week well ever so slightly ☺️

              Good morning everyone.
Oma I tend to wander from room to room in the unlikely chance that sitting/lying in another room will bring on sleep, it doesn't work does it?
Qwerty sounds like you had an enjoyable night. When I was young if I was out at 10.45 pm I was rushing to get home to get to bed but these days to a lot of young people their night out has only just begun.

Do you think we may be lucky enough to have a day without rain today? It's been a long time when it has been warm and dry . We went out yesterday in trousers, jumpers and jackets clutching our brollies. To think back a month ago it was too hot even to move about!

                Good morning all.

Mimi, we are forecast rain, I hope you escape it! Sunny and very windy atm.
                Damned sleepless nights Oma!
Qwerty, how brave of your SIL to invite you all When I only had GD we often went visiting, I don't now we have the other 2!

My 3 DDs are all en route to Scotland this morning. To attend the funeral of the family friend who died last week. I am not going, as they are more my ex husbands friends than mine, and he and his wife are going, and my 3 daughters. I am more useful here with GS1. SIL will work from home today and bring GS here, any minute!

The catsitter friend who is coming while we have a couple of nights in Haworth is calling in for coffee and keys this morning. If the rain stays away this afternoon we will take GS to the park.

It's been a day of sunshine and showers here.

I don't know what came over me but I volunteered to clean DS's oven as he is leaving his current flat on Wednesday and as it is a rented property the oven has to stay. He had forgotten to switch on the hot water so I had to keep boiling the kettle. What made it worse was it's only a tiny travel kettle as he has already taken his regular one to his new flat.
I'd just about finished when DS rang and said he'd meant to ask me to turn the fridge off so that the ice box could defrost. Hey ho I set to and with the help of my trusty kettle I managed to defrost and clean the entire fridge.

Just a very brief 'hello, everyone'. It's my usual busy two days with GDs. GD1 is into earning money (I don't know what she's saving for) so she wanted jobs to do. We took them down to the allotment and, bless her, she picked all the blackcurrents, which is very fiddly. GD2 helped OH to pick runner beans, while I sorted out the jumble of sideshoots on the tomato plants (I don't know how they got that neglected!) and picked courgettes. The girls were also very enthusiastic helpers with the watering. They earned £1.30 each!
