    Good afternoon all.

Lets go for a , OH said, it will be fun he said, we haven't had a long in such a long time.
We left here at 9.30 and didn't get back till 11.35 . but saying that it was lovely to roam around the country lanes , avoiding sheep coming the other way , sitting on the bench by the lake watching the swans and then cutting thorough the back of the housing estate to take us to our old home only to see our good friends and neighbours who moved into our old house. A lot of catching up was had by all and then onwards home we came. OH was right, it was nice , it made al lovely change.
As for the weather its very windy here, in fact it is going to be very interesting to see how our neighbours are going to get into their flat when they get home later as the other neighbour's ( who is rather nasty so no one speaks to ) pop up gazebo has blown across the garden and its firmly wedged between their front door and garden fence ! Words will be had no doubt.

Nan2 I used to have a hairdresser who used to come to our home but she became unreliable so we now pop to the one at the end of our road , the added bonus of that is not only do I get a haircut I also get to catch up with all the gossip. What my hairdresser doesn't know about , it isn't worth knowing.

    Hope everyone is well
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Hello everyone. Our visitors left late this morning, and we decided to award ourselves a coffee, a sit down and a chat. (We never seem to talk properly to each other when we have visitors). Ten minutes later the door bell rang and it was our allotment friend, just passing by and dropped in to chat veg. It was lovely to see him, but I think I'm all visitor-ed out for today. We really enjoyed having OH's brother and SIL staying, but we do tend to sit up late chatting, and you feel guilty if you have a lie in and then find your starving guests are sitting at the breakfast table too polite to tuck in until you arrive, so I've been getting up quite early as well.

I've done a couple of loads of washing (how did we get through so many clothes this week!), placed the monthly dog food order online and now just popping in to say hello before we take Eva out for a run in the paddock - her first this week as it's been too hot.

        I'll be back later.

The walk sounds lovely Mimi. Nice to do something different for a change.
Tomorrow,we are going to a farm shop near Wakefield. Never been to this one before, so had better sort the freezers out in the morning.
According to hubby, i will no doubt come home laden with meat.
There is also a garden centre near to the farm, that hubby wants to go to. They do lovely meals,so we will be eating out.
          Daisy,hope you are relaxing now.

Nanto - yes, thank you! We walked Eva and she tired herself out quite quickly - she's not enjoyed the heat, and with so much going on she's also tired. Then we came home and assembled (no cooking needed!) dinner and have done nothing else. Just off for an early night to catch up on much-needed sleep.

Nanto - I'm sure you'll find lots of bargains and goodies.

            Mimi what a lovely day!

Our guests promised to phone when they got home. It's about a 4 hour journey, plus any stops. When we hadn't heard from them after 6 hours we tried to ring them but there was no answer. They eventually called us some time later - their journey had taken 7 hours, and it sounds as though all the motorways they used were jammed packed. I think the country is close to gridlock at times.

Crikey Daisy, that was a long journey home for your visitors, could have been abroad in that time.
Sky is bright this morning. I heard it was going to be a nice weekend and then rain all next week.

                Good morning all.
SIL's surprise 40th birthday party today, from 4pm onwards ( he is at an outwards bound type of place first, which he did know about) DD is bringing GS1 here while she gets on with things, then we will take him to the party.
We will bring SILs mum back here for the night. She lives in Scotland, so it saves her a hotel fee . She loves cats, the vital requirement to be invited to stay here

Good morning, ladies. I woke up at 5.45 after my early night! Eva was delighted as she thought it was breakfast time! But I got a load of washing in, did a few more chores and went back to bed and fast asleep, so I've only just got up again, which throws our plans for today out! We'd intended to go to the allotment this morning, the monthly dog walk this afternoon and a quiet night in tonight. OH is still asleep, so we'll have to see.

Oma - Glad you new oven has turned up. You've certainly been a busy bee already today.

It's dull and overcast here, and we've had some rain overnight - but not enough to water the allotment.

Gem - I hope you all enjoy SIL's big 4-0 birthday. It sounds a lot of fun.

Nanto - that's what we said about our visitors' journey!

You are such a busy lady Qwerty, sometimes it is difficult to fill that void. If I am feeling down, I put some music on and dance, well not really dancing mainly with my arms. Good luck with the house hunting. How is your OH?

Good morning, Nanto and everyone. It's overcast here, but warm again. I hope it stays dry for DS1's barbecue this afternoon.

Qwerty - I'm so sorry you're feeling a bit down. Some days you just have to get through and move on from them. I bet you are also very tired - you are such a busy lady, and caring for two lively toddlers is jolly hard work. Poor J - I hope he feels better soon. I always feel a bit down if any of the GCs are poorly - you just want to make them better, don't you.

You're right to be picky about where you move to. We spend a lot of time in our homes and if it isn't 'right' for you, you'll end up hating it. What are you looking for? A bungalow, a smaller house or a flat?

Plant - music is fantastic for changing your mood, isn't it.

Qwerty how is j today . Reflux is horrible at the best of times but when its our 'little ones' it is so much worse.
The right place will come along eventually so try not to let it be upper most in your thoughts as it will make you feel more frustrated .

Its tried raining here this morning , I wish it would get on with it to save me having to water the garden every day. All I ask for is a nice steady rain fall at night so it won't spoil any ones plans for the day.
So far today I have done a little bit of housework and some yoga and now I am going to order a canvas print for the bedroom. I took some photos of a tree. Now I know that sounds odd but its the view of the tree looking upwards between the branches. I stood right close to the tree trunk and pointed the camera up and the result gives and impression of height and the light shining between the canopy is lovely. It will look very good in our bedroom, giving it a feeling of calm and peace. ( Hopefully)

Have a lovely Sunday and I hope everyone is feel well
