What a night ! Too hot to sleep, cat has been roaming around unable to settle, cats outside howling an ambulance has been called to our neighbour and now the pigeons are cooing on the telephone wires that are strung from building to building. ! Not sure how neighbour is , the ambulance is still here. Hope everything is ok.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

We need rain, our water butt is dry. Set to be another hot day 31c apparently and it's my day to do DD's cleaning. Hopefully it is supposedly going down to 24c after today. Lovely weather if you have nothing to do. M is playing violin with the orchestra at the Lighthouse tonight, parents only though. Keep cool ladies and drink lots of water.

            Morning

Still hot here. We are going away tomorrow until next Wednesday so I hope it cools down as I fear for my runner beans. I'll give them a good soak tonight and hope for the best!

Lots to do today to get organised but so hot it's hard to summon up the energy.OH is already wilting and he's only just got up but is eating hot porridge

Stayed indoors yesterday, fan on watching tennis and doing some sewing. Drank lots of water but was up to the loo twice, I slept well with fan in bedroom and only a sheet on bed. Watered plants in pots in the evening, even our young fruit trees and noticed all the immature figs had baked. Need to go out today now I have car back from garage, it went in for a modification but it had a full health check FOC and even sent me a video of the procedure, showing me the underside of the car with a commentary of the mechanic checking it, they collected it at 7.30 and returned it about 4.00, the employee left his lovely electric car here and drove mine to the garage. I have nothing but praise for my local BMW garage but I wish they made a smaller car like the electric one but they also are suppliers of Minis so that is their small car offer.

I have what sounds like a creature in my loft with hobnail boots on, must get SIL to have a look, our lofts adjoin so perhaps they are hearing the noise too. Will probably have to get the council to have a look.

Have a lovely day everyone, enjoy this lovely weather but stay cool.

                  Hi everyone.
Thunderstorms forecast here too Oma and Nan2, but not sure when!

I hope your neighbour is OK Mimi. Nota restful night for you!

I'm glad you are managing to keep cool Plant. I hope your SIL can get to the bottom of the noise!

I hope you have a nice break Clover. I agree it's to hot to get ready to go though!

It's sad for us when the children's events are parents only isn't it Libra?

We took my car into the garage early this morning to have the air conditioning serviced, as it has stopped working all together now, and I have needed it lately! OH is playing golf, when she comes back we will collect my car.
Not sure what we are doing later.
I have taken advantage of it being slightly cooler this morning to make up the spare bed and dust and hoover the bedroom. SIL1's mum us staying over on Saturday night, down from Scotland for SIL's 40th birthday party on Saturday.

Afternoon all yesterday was twin day so no chance of getting on here , but the weather was much more acceptable the kids played out and went to playgroup so not many toys to put away as usual which we can't do till the next day as it's exhausting after a full day with the cherubs.
Early ironing session today OH up a ladder I darnt look he's trimming an ivy that has grown as far as the eves of the roof looks lovely but needs thinning out, keeping windows shut from the creepy crawlies that may be looking for another home aka my bedroom 😱
No sign of thunderstorms yet but not exerting my poor body in this heat lol
Good customer service Plant but it is a BMW so very posh service is acceptable lol, to be honest we have or himself has been looking new cars as we very rarely use the twin pushchair now and don't need a big boot as much, I like the look of these new minis that look as though they have been stretched 🚗
Enjoy your break your break Clover coast or city ?
Gem you always seem to have somewhere nice to go or a a friend to meet
Oma genius of technology thanks again very grateful to you xx

My car is so cool now the air conditioning is sorted out. £35 well spent
OH and I were given an afternoon tea voucher by friends, a joint birthday present. It expires at the end of this month so as we rarely have free time together this afternoon was decided upon. It was for Patisserie Valerie, so we went to the one at the designer oulet (free parking!) I also bought a birthday present for a friend, and a teddy bear for the Guess the Name of The Teddy I will be doing at the village carnival.

Qwerty, I believe in finding time to enjoy myself A lot of my week is childcare and running around after my mum so especially after my experience earlier this year, I make time for me!

We haven't had thunderstorms yet,but looking out of the window, you can tell it's coming.
Well our bit of excitement today was next doors parrot escaping. She didn't realise the back door was open.
He flew into our siver birch tree, neighbour and hubby tried to get him in a net,but he flew away. We saw him going into some trees in the distance, never to be seen again.

No sign of rain here as yet,I was wilting today I washed the ceiling blinds from DD's conservatory. I love the hot weather but find I can't cope as well with it as I used to,a little cooler would be nice. They say 24c tomorrow, much more comfortable.

Nanto ,our Cockatiel escaped and we thought that was it , I put a advert in our local paper that day and two days later I got a phone call from a man who was a green keeper on a golf course 5 miles away who had rescued a Cockatiel from two Magpies attacking it on the green , I went to see him not thinking it was mine as 5 miles is a long way for a house bird to fly , when I walked into his house my Magic went ballistic when he saw me he flew straight to me and squawked his head off . I cried buckets I was so happy to se him , so there is a chance of getting him back

We never got a whiff of the storms yesterday, they seem to have passed us by.
