DS not allowed out today. Doctors not happy with happy with things. He's got pins and needles in his fingers.
Removed his cast, doctor says hopefully it's just the swelling pressing on a nerve.

Oma, you have been busy. I'm sorry to hear about your friend's mother. It hard when families live far away.
      Enjoy your tea out!
Golf dinner for OH tonight so it's salmon and new potatoes for one here!

Nan2, I bet removing and resetting your sons cast will do the trick. It does sound as though it was pressing on a nerve.

I have been to the local Sainsbury's to do mums shopping. I just need to call into Wilko on the way to get a couple of things for her. I bought some chicken for our boy cat while I was out. He isn't eating as much as usual (he eats a lot) we are keeping an eye on him, but if he doesn't buck up a trip to the vet will be in order.

We were going visiting at the hospital this afternoon, but someone else is going.Hopefully we will know more tonight when we visit.
We will be taking his birthday cards ready for morning,in case he can't come out. He's asked us not to take any presents.

Had a restful day today, just a bit of pottering in the garden, then someone, came round to give us a quote for new windows. This afternoon sitting in the garden before ironing the washing I had out out this morning. Didn't do much at all, so why do I feel so tired? This heat doesn't agree with me!

Oma, sorry to hear your bad news.
Just got home from hospital. Doctor doesn't want DS to have another pot on,till the swelling has gone down, so his arm is heavily bandaged now.
It's his birthday tomorrow, but don't know if he will be able to come home.
Our hospital is one of the highest points in our town, and he has some fantastic views from his room. He's taken some lovely photos of the sun rising.

Warfarin clinic for me this morning then taking my GD to the station to catch a train, she is joining her boyfriend and family in Devon for a holiday.

Have a nice day doesn't seem the right thing to say in the circumstances, so have a peaceful day.

Morning ladies ,a quiet day for us will pick the dog up soon but no plans to do anything else so I think I will browes online for a new front door security light, ours is looking a bit tatty now I fancy a nice sleek Chrome one .
Been a bit tearful this morning reading some of the fire reports , one was a man who was talking to his 24 yr old sister who was trapped on the 14th floor with her 2 yr old and the fireman told him to say goodbye and he loved her, he said he knew then they couldn't save her ,
I have decided not to read anymore its too upsetting ,

Have a good day everyone xxx

                        Heart breaking isn't it Oma.

Doctors still unsure about letting son out,due to numbness and swelling.
Crikey, you must be getting bored with all my updates.

                              Good morning all.
Oma I read just a little of the reports about the fire, it was too heart breaking to carry on. I did however read that once again this tragedy has come down to money, or the lack of it to be precise .
If an extra £2 more per panel on the cladding to be made fire proof had been spent the fire would not have taken hold so fast. The type of cladding on that tower is banned in America and Germany .
Its sickening that £5,000 extra was seen as too much. I suspect the directors /owner of the company have got all the very best fire alarm's etc., in their property's . They claim that the residences of the tower black refused to have sprinklers installed . I find that puzzling as certain safety features are installed by social housing with or without the residences blessing.

I have been outside weeding the garden which almost an hour to do, its not that my garden is big or over run with weeds, its just that I am a chatter box !

Its eldest GS's last day of exams today. So its the last day at school for him, or was it last month when he left, or maybe next month when its the school prom ? When I left school , I left school there was no going back for exams and there was no such thing as a school prom, that was just something that happened in America ! How things change . I left school, went to stay with mum for two weeks, came back home and got a job .

Apart from cooking lunch and the popping to the library I haven't much planned for today.

                              Have a lovely day all
Bring me sunshine in your smile.
