Oma, I hope your headache goes soon. Drink some coffee with your painkillers.
I sometimes get those headaches from sleeping in a strange position, Last night I woke up with a bad shoulder pain and a numb arm. I must have laid on it for so long my body rebelled and woke me up so I could turn over!

Send leftover to me Qwerty
We had a lovely impromptu day at the seaside. It was very hot. People were in swimsuits and bikinis, and several people were in the sea. This is a rarity in England's east coast, up north! It clouded over and cooled down before we left but it was still warm.
We sat and people watched, had a walk on the beach, ate chips and an ice cream. Very nice indeed.
We are going out again soon, for a meal, as we have this gift voucher to use. If that wasn't booked it would probably be beans on toast in front of the TV, as the fresh air has tired us out!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Qwerty - you have been a busy bee in the kitchen. I can certainly help you with leftover if required!
Oma - glad your headache lifted. I'm sure your neighbour enjoyed coming home for the day - let's hope she will soon be stabilised and able to go home safely.
Plant - I hope you enjoyed your tea in the posh hotel. What did you have?
Mimi - what an idiot having a bonfire in this weather on a Bank holiday week-end when people want to be out enjoying their gardens. It's a pity you couldn't send for the fire engine!!
Gem - so pleased you got your dose of sea air today.
LG - how are you? I hope you're feeling a bit better. xx
I did a few loads of washing and got them out on the line first thing. then some friends from Yorkshire are down here at their sisters and called round for coffee. It was lovely to see them, as always. When they'd gone I started cleaning the caravan while OH was at the allotment. Then the heavens opened and I got soaked to the skin getting all that b****y washing off the line! I still haven't done the lawn - it was too wet after the downpour. I hope I can do it tomorrow - it looks like a jungle!
I'm gradually catching up with various threads.

We had a lovely tea in a gorgeous setting, I treated us to a glass of champagne before tea arrived. We had lots of very lovely finger sandwiches, two scones each with jam and cream, a macaroon, lemon meringue tart, I gave up then, the remaining cakes were boxed up for us to bring home. We all had various teas but I just stuck with builders tea. There was a wedding party there on the terrace, fortunately it didn't rain on them, just the odd spot.
Where re did you go to the sea Gemini, not sure where your nearest beach would be.
Hope the headaches have cleared up.
Qwerty your tea sounds as nice as ours, I am too full to help with the leftovers. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good morning overcast but humid today, awful thunder last night. Feeling pleased it doesn't seem to faze Shiloh at all. Saw my eldest girls yesterday they are flying out to Rome this morning, and hubs checked BA's flights and theirs seems to be on schedule. They are there until friday, visiting the vatican and other places. Those girls are well travelled. Will add a pic of N with her PGS cricket team, she loves it. Very physical our N. Have a good day, feeling a little better, but the black cloud is still on my shoulder a little. You do not have permission to view this gallery.

Plant, we went to Hornsea, as we thought it would be less crowded than the bigger places, on a sunny Sunday at the beginning of half term.
Scarborough, Bridlington, Whitby and Filey are all local. Whitby is my favourite. Robin Hoods Bay is smaller and lovely but requires a steep climb down the path to the beach. I remember even as a young woman it being a bit of a struggle!
Libra, I hope your family have a lovely holiday.
Take it easy today Oma!
I'm going to B&Q garden centre on the way to my mums to get her some bedding plants, I will probably buy some for us as well.
Dull here this morning, it rained a lot overnight.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning, ladies.
LG - what a lovely photo of N and her school cricket team. Cricket was about the only sport I enjoyed at school - although I had no hope of making the school team! We only heard a few rumbles of thunder about midnight, so either we didn't get the storm or we slept through it, which means Eva must have slept too - a big step forward. I've seen some video taken over the Kent coast last night and it was a really spectacular storm, so between there and LG's house we were piggy in the middle! I'm glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. xx
It's damp and humid here, which I don't mind at all, except that the grass-jungle out there is loving it and visibly growing!
Plant - your tea sounds absolutely delicious, and a glass of champagne to start with sounds perfect.
Nanto - perhaps it will brighten up a bit later - hope so. It's such a shame when it rains on a Bank holiday!
Oma - go with the flow - after so little sleep you need a day-doing-nothing. No scrubbing the patio or anything! xx
After all that washing yesterday, I've now got an even bigger pile of ironing glaring at me. Please can I have an ironing fairy like Zizi's! We slept in late this morning, so I'm just off for a shower and then tackle portioning up food for Eva - about 6 or 7 kg of raw meat! Lucky me.
