We got held up a strret away from home, while the air ambulance landed.
A young lad hit by a car on his way home from school.
Iv'e since heard, he's not as badly hurt as originally thought.Got a broken leg and very badly shaken uo.

I've had a lovely day with GD2. She has been cuddly and chatty until she went for her nap and then woke up full of smiles and just cute and funny.

Plant - yes, we have got an awning for the 'van, but it was too windy to use it this time! But I did miss it!!

LG - I do hope Shiloh's paw is soon better. I've had similar problems with Eva's paws - they seem to get very dry and rough. I've sent you a link to Musher's Secret on FB, it's a natural was and very soothing and protective. It won't hurt him if he licks it off! How did your hair colouring (or uncolouring) session go?

Mimi - I'm sorry you didn't get to see all your family for Mother's Day - it was much the same for me - I didn't see either of them. It's surprising how a morning can just disappear - I hope you got started on the decorating before it got dark..

Plant - poor GSs. Exams are so stressful these days. I hope they both get the grades they need. I hope you were on top for for your bowls this afternoon.

Oma - it's surprising how drawning the curtains off a window can make a room so much lighter. I hpe you found what you wanted. Any news on the yellow duvet set yet?

Nanto - you have been busy! I'm glad the young lad wasn't seriously hurt. It's so dramatic when the air ambulance is called out, you can't help fearing the worst, but even so he must have been in a lot of pain.

Daisy I am sorry to say the bowls game was a bit of a disaster. A man has joined us which is nice, I know his wife very well through guiding. Unfortunately he has recently been diagnosed with dementia or something similar so it has been very trying to fit him into a game, he has been coming for a month and he still can't remember which way to hold his bowls or how to bowl it. It is good for him to come and bless he has bought some bowls. I don't think he will ever be able to contribute much in a game. Now we are not a competative group but whichever team he plays in are really one player down. It is a dilemma, we shall have to see how it works out in time.

Hospital for me this morning. Got to be there for 8o'clock. Have to have treatment in theatre.
I was told i'm 1st on the list, because i'm having a local anesthetic, the other patients are having a general anesthetic.
Will update my thread in yeo later.
            Have a good day everyone.

              Good morning everyone.

Nan2, I hope all goes smoothly today, being first on the list is good. Thinking of you.

What a pity about the bowls Plant. It is good for this man to be able to join you, I'm sure, but I can see the problem for the rest of you.

Daisy, those 'cuddly' days with our grandchildren are so special.

A free day for me. It was originally, back in the mists of time before plans changed several times, my first radiotherapy day! Since it now isn't OH has been able to arrange to play golf (Tuesday is her main day)
I have several things to do. I need to go to the bank to transfer money to catsitter friends for the vets bill they paid for us. I will look around the village shops while I am there and probably go into the library, and maybe the coffee shop
I still have my unpacking to finish, and I will do some of the holiday ironing. I will try to write a story for the Story Challenge too, and finish my holiday journal on here!

                  Morning all.
Not feeling particularly upbeat this morning, my lovely friend starts her chemotherapy today .

Its foggy outside side at the moment and strangely mild.

Have a good day everyone x

Morning all an early start for me, I have M today, she had a bad headache and was sick last night. Do hope it is not a bug, but due to headache. Daisy I use paw wax on Shiloh once a week to protect his paws. It's a surface cut and will use sudocreme and a sock to aid healing. No walks until Friday I think will help. Not sure Shiloh will agree with the decision. Sun is out, looks like another lovely day.

Had a bad night flare up in hip made it too uncomfortable to lie on or sleep, I've managed a few hours on sofa with hot water bottle on it , not doing much today as walking is painful so did housework put washer on and that's it , it's dull grey and fresh out cloud base is very low so may get some rain ,typical when window cleaner came yesterday 😯

Bright and sunny here already, not much planned, I will pop out and buy some birthday cards and some butter to make a crumble for the new parents. A very quiet week for me, no hospital appts.

It's a bit too late to say 'good morning' but it has been one of 'those' days!

Nanto I'm sorry I was too late to send my good wishes for today - I've posted on your other thread. xx

Oma - your hip sounds very painful. You probably shouldn't have been doing housework this morning - you naughty girl.

Plant - it is a dilemma what to do about the new member of your bowls group. I suppose it's a bit like the member of a choir singing out of tune. You don't want to hurt his or anybody else's feelings, but as you say, he's not an asset to whichever team he is in. Perhaps someone could give him a bit of one-to-one tuition - it might help if he can practise outside of a team game.

LG - children bounce back so quickly don't they. GD1 was sent home from school last Friday after being sick, but as she said once she'd been sick she felt fine. They have to have 48 hours off if they're sick, so she was lucky it was Friday! She hates missing school.

LG and Oma - I think Paw Wax is similar to the Musher's Secret I use.

Mimi - how is your friend after her first chemo? It's hard to watch people you care about going through such tough times. xx

Gem - your free day ended up being quite busy by the sound of things.

GD2 was more tearful than cuddly today. She's cutting a back tooth we think and it always makes her a bit poorly and out of sorts. She's got a runny nose, and gets a bit sore 'down below' when she does a wee. She slept for quite a while this afternoon, but I had to wake her up because it was time to collect GD1.

Had quite a bit of rain during the night, by the looks of it.
Hope you all have a good day.
Mimi, just wondering how your friend went on yesterday.

Good morning, everyone. Nanto - I hope you are feeling ok after yesterday. We've had overnight rain too, and it's still drizzly.

I'm off to the local hospital to get a routine blood test and shall look forward to a cuppa when I get home! Hopefully there won't be a long queue! Then it's dog training for us - and Eva, of course. When we get back I'll have to prepare a load of food for her ready for the kitchen being out of action most of next week. She's loving her raw diet but until I get better organised I'm sorting meals out a few days at a time. When Saturday's delivery comes I'll portion it up straight away which will make life easier.

I hope you're all doing something more enjoyable that dealing with big chunks of raw meat today.
