Morning ladies going to pick Dog up soon and B going to put some new sockets in GS1 bedroom the type with usb slots J has so many things to charge B said it's safer this way ,
Didn't get window sill painted yesterday and no point doing it today with dog so will do it tomorrow while SIL papers the front wall .
It's very grey and cold today not the kind of weather you want to be out in , have a good day everyone xx

The sun is shining,but we did have quick shower about ½ hour ago.

Shopping for food later today as I am as yet not showered and dressed. Scan very quick, not sure where the results get sent to, will ring surgery next week but it wasn't my doctor who ordered the scan so not sure. Sunny here at the moment

Universal Studios for us today. First visit to that park of this holiday. We love it fingers crossed not too much queuing!!

Was it a bone density scan Plant? My results took about 2 weeks, and I got them by letter.

I'm glad other OHs buy thingies in strange shops, Nanto. Whatever thingy this was, he was very pleased with it, so I'm happy for him. Clover being a wise and loving wife - I let him go to his thingy shop on his own while I did the part of the supermarket shop he would drag me round at 90 mph - that would be clothes, household items etc. I bought a very large plastic chopping board for Eva's raw food, some multi-purpose scissors for attacking bones in said food and some of those click-to-close storage boxes so defrosted raw dog food doesn't stink out the dog fridge. Then I left him to do the checkout bit while I went to the garden centre which is just across the road.

Gem - I hope universal is brilliant. I love it.

Plant - I hope you don't have to wait too long for your results.

Went upstairs this morning to make the bed. Caught my finger on something and caused it to bleed.Wrapped a tissue round it,while i made the bed.
Tissue fell off, blood on duvet cover. I only put clean bedding on 2 days ago.
Got clean sheet and duvet cover to change the bedding. Tissue fell off again, you've guessed it,blood on clean cover.
I got wise then,and put a plaster on, before i got out yet more clean bedding.

Nanto - that's the sort of thing I do, knowing it would be more sensible to fix it properly, like with a plaster, but still continue to do the silly option! It's a good job you'd got plenty of clean bedding.

Heard yesterday that on Friday they are going to induce the baby my GS and his partner are expecting, the due date, as the baby is small. Don't understand the logic in that but I suppose they know best.

Plant sometimes if baby not growing they think it's better to induce and let baby get the attention it needs , it may not be feeding well in the womb .

Well the 10 Days off hospital hasn't happened , got a call yesterday have to go in on Monday for a 3 hour infusion he's showing high levels of the Glandula fever he had as a child , it's not serious but has to be treated before it becomes a problem , got to be done but just seems they not letting us get away with a week off , I'm sure they miss us 😀

Plant - I agree with Oma. It could be that they think the baby has stopped growing and so it's better to have him/her delivered. I know it's always an anxious time, but I'm sure they are being cautious and pre-empting a possible problem rather than dealing with a full-blown issue. xxx

Oma - poor B, I'm so sorry he's not getting his 10 days off, but certainly it's better to have it treated than not. Sending you both a big hug - and don't overdo the decorating this week-end. Is the new carpet going down today?

It's damp and dreary here. OH and friend N, have gone down to the allotment to build the raised bed for N's asparagus plants. I think they're growing like triffids in his kitchen!

Plant I agree with the others, they know what they are doing , after all when you think back to the days before scans it was almost a guessing game as to the health of mum and baby.
Oma that's a shame about B,, I think he just can't keep away from the nurses you know 😉
It a mild sunny day here and fingers crossed it will stay fine for GSs christening tomorrow.

Oma, what a shame you won't get your 10 days off,but at least they are on the ball.

Plant, i agree what others have said about the baby.

We went into Wilkos today,hubby went to look at what he wanted,while i was at the other end of the shop.
He saw a lady drop a tin of paint. She was wearing black and the paint was white. paint all over her trousers and coat.
One of the shop assitants was close by,and she told the lady to go to customer services, and complain.the lady said no, it was my own fault.
The shop assistant insisted she went and complained.She said tell them the tin was wet,and it slipped out of your hand.
Don't know whether she complained or not, but i wish i did know.
