Bright here this morning, I am out for lunch at our local with my Trefoil friends. Not sure if I will make it to bowls later.

Hospital day for family, SIL at local hospital for tests and GS1 has gone with my DD to Stoke Mandeville to have his infected impacted wisdom teeth removed.

Hope all the poorly ones feel better soon.

That's so good to hear Oma.
Happy birthday to Gem's sister and hope the visit to new home went well.

Went to parents yesterday to see the visitors, had a good couple of hours with them before they went back.
Sister in law and her hubby decided to come back to ours.
Sat talking, and before we knew it,time had ticked by.Made something to eat, and then another couple of hours had gone by.
We all enjoyed a good natter, doesn't happen enough.

Excellent news about Brian Oma, what a hero. Enjoy playing schools Gem, who is teacher ??. Well I am 99% sorted with my packing, just have a few more things to add to case and tick off the check list. Why is it everytime I go away I tell myself I do not need anything new, then things jump up and tempt me . I have bought 2 new dresses, a jumpsuit, more strappy tops to wear with shorts. Some fancy mules in silver, then decided I had to have them in gold, some pretty sandals and 2 more swimsuits. I decided against bikinis, reached that age don't you know. Nails and hair tomorrow then last minute panic no doubt. I shall post when I can, will make a thread for those interested in my voyage around Asia.

Have a great time on your cruise. Good news Oma!

I worked at home today. I am so frustrated. I am working on a job for Wembley regeneration and the client wants to use Dropbox to distribute documents to teams. There are four different major companies working on there. We are the only ones who are not allowed to access Dropbox. So I wrote a business case, got permission and was then told that I would be the only employee to get permission to use it and I would have to access anything that the client puts on there and distribute it!! We will be looking at a £145 million job and a large team to go with it, how do they think I am going to find time to do that, when things get underway there will be hundreds of documents a day? I have asked for a meeting about this as I do not intend spending my whole working life transferring documents from one place to another!

We trotted over to see Sadie and Joe this afternoon. Sons birthday this week so took a gift over for the children to hide as we won't be able to get there on the day. I also gave them their pocket money as we won't see them for two weeks now. We will see Ben on Sunday and give him his pocket money then. Joe's face was perfect, he has a small scar on his eyelid but it is in a place where it will fade and not be seen. He has no residual bruising from his fall either. I gently teased him about the girls looking after him and he denied it but Sadie let the cat out of the bag telling me very loudly the names of the three girls who looked after him and also one who took a specially made cake around to help him recover. I have to say I have not seen him quite as beetroot faced ever! Bless him.

Someone has called a meeting on Friday 10th March at 4.30pm in London for two hours! NO I DO NOT THINK SO! We are going on holiday the following day and I do not intend being in town the night before. These people really need to get a life, mind you that said, I will be the only woman there and the blokes will trot off to the nearest bar after the meeting for a testosterone and beer fuelled jolly so maybe it is a male plan........

Oma - that is brilliant news. Well done B, and well done you for looking after him so well. xx

Mimi - I didn't realise you were quite that reckless, squandering money on flea treatment!

Nanto - it's a sign of a good day when time speeds by like that. Just what you needed, methinks, young lady.

Plant - I can't help wondering if the doubts about going to bowls were because it was likely to be a boozy lunch!!!

LG - you must be really excited! Please, please send us as many photos and comments as you can. It will be a wonderful trip. Bon voyage.

Gem - it sounds as though you had a good play date with GS1. It sounds like the road works are as bit a problem to you as they have been to me this last few weeks.

Zizi - do you lot at work know what Dropbox is???? It's crazy no to use it when everyone else is. I can imagine your apology for absence to the 4.30 meeting on Friday. LOL So pleased the Joe is ok, and how lovely that the girls looked after him so well.

The rain didn't ease off all morning, so when GD1 and I went shopping I asked her which was her favourite shop in town. Rather predictably she said The Toy Shop (I didn't really expect her to say Boots!) So we had a lovely browse round and came out with a cuddly Pikachu toy (a Pokemon character, apparently) and a set of little Pepper Pig characters for GD2 to add to her Pepper Pig house and swings set. A quick dash through the rain and into a local cafe for hot chocolate. We sat and chatted, with GD1 explaining all about her Pokemon character. I clearly have a lot to learn in that area! Then we went to pick GD2 up from playgroup. GD1 really enjoyed going back and having a chat with the staff, who all tried very hard not to say how she'd grown and what had happened to her front tooth! A lovely day.

That does sound a lovely time spent with your GD Daisy.

Not a boozy lunch Daisy, I was driving, by the time we finished lunch and Idropped a couple of friends home it was too late. They devide into teams when everyone has arrived so going late was not an option. I did consider dropping in and making their tea but fancied going home more.

Daisy that sounds a lovely time with GD1. I know all about Picachu My DD3 is28, so was a child when Pokémon first appeared over here!

                        Libra, have a great holiday!

Zizi, I'm glad GS is unscarred!

GS and I were both teachers. He was the main teacher instructions me who to give stickers and awards to!
He obviously listens very closely to his pre school teacher, his talks to the teddies were most convincing. I would employ him

Dropbox is a place like cloud where everything is stored in the ether of computer world, I have absolutely no idea how it works. I am showing my age now as I thought it was just for pictures but apparently it is for all sorts of documents. I am flustering around with this one as I am clearly not young enough to get the flipping hang of it! Oh and by the way I am not really sure what happens with cloud although on my work computer I have had to set up an account and have a password. Mind you only a matter of weeks ago I had not done a Skype call on my computer with associated power point presentations. I am not really a hundred per cent sure how I did then so only time will tell if this previously computer savvy woman will catch up!

Zizi, I'm with you! I use the "cloud" but don't know how it all works. I just think it's all magic Ther's a little man somewhere (or little woman) who makes it all happen.

looks a bit brighter here, blue sky and sunny. Have to hit the supermarket this morning then maybe garden this afternoon.

Good morning ladies. Frosty start here too. I don't envy OH and pals heading onto the golf course in an hour or so! 2 clients for me this afternoon, then a Friends of (local) Library meeting at 5pm. Don't forget it is pancake day!
