Gem, my hospital appointment isn't until Monday, but i appreciate the comments.

Been one heck of a morning. I went to parents as usual on a Thursday.
Hubby came round to have a look at Dad's mobility scooter. He couldn't get it to go yesterday.
Anyway, hubby found the problem, it needs new brushes in the motor.
Now, Dad is a man of little patience, if he needs something he wants it there and then.so he and hubby must have been to 8 different places, but none had them in stock.
But, they could order them. Anyway to cut a long story short, hubby has managed to find some on ebay, and have been ordered.

Thanks to you all for the good wishes for OH's man flu. Nana - I don't think he's quite a poorly as your OH, but he is feeling pretty awful. I persuaded him to go down to the village for a couple of odds and ends thinking the fresh air might perk him up a bit, and I think it cleared his head, if nothing else.

Nana - a bra fitting sounds like bliss - something I keep intending to do. Is this a new hairdo or just maintenance?

It's a beautiful day here and I'd love to be out in the garden, but housework, chores and cooking call. But I'm getting there, and the weather looks as though it's going to last into the week-end.

Mimi - we find that when we're out at the front. There's a short cut path through to the village in our cul de sac so we get a lot of people walking past, so gardening is inevitably a slow process.

Gem - I'm so glad OH's news is good. It's sensible to have the bone density scan, although I'm sure all the exercise on the golf course helps her too.

Nanto - Oh dear, poor Dad. I hope ebay delivers quickly for him.

Our boiler has chosen today to go into hibernations, pack up or just plain go wrong. I thought my hot shower this morning was a bit chilly, turned the temp up but it was still chilly. Thankfully it's not as cold as it has been and we've got the wood burning which does give warmth throughout the house. We've also got an immersion heater, so at least we'll have hot water. We use it so infrequently I'd forgotten about it and was weighing up how I'd cope with a cold shower in the morning!! Thank goodness OH remembered about it!

Hope everyone's day has gone to plan.
We caught the bus to a stop on the seafront about 2 miles round Swansea Bay from Mumbles. We then walked to Mumbles by the sea. The sun came out and the Spring flowers were all in bloom on the other side of the path.We then walked a bit further on to our favourite ice cream parlour for toasted sarnies, pots of tea and then strawberry tarts with whipped cream. We had a quick look at the shops in Mumbles where I found OH a really nice jumper in a Charity shop for £2.50. (It's in the washing machine now!). We then came home via Swansea where I bought some daffodils from the Market.
All in all a good day.If we are out and about I get less frustrated with OH's lack of memory. That sounds awful but the break does us both good, that's why I like to have a treat day once a week as well as our daily walks.

Clover - what a lovely day. I think your regular walks and treat days are probably good for both of you. You live in a beautiful part of the country too, so it would be a sin not to get out and enjoy it. xx

Clover, your day sounds lovely and well deserved and I understand what you mean. Anything which helps yours and OH daily life go smoothly has to be good, and we all need a break from daily routine.

My day was tiring! As many of you unfortunately know hospital visits in themselves are tiring. The stress of being there, particularly in Oncology, then waiting to see the doctor, it can leave you a bit depleted! I did a little housework, then I took mum to her friends, went to Asda and did ours and mums shopping (2 lists!) came home and put ours away, had a quick cuppa then back for mum, Cooked tea, then drove mum home at 7.30, helped her take her shopping in, took her bin out for her, chatted to her bit, then drove home. Not much but I feel shattered. Probably due to not doing as much recently.

Baby GS all day tomorrow, so I'm on my way to bed. Time for a nightcap in the rest first though

your walks sound very enjoyable Clover, I am sure your OH enjoys them too.

Will your boiler be fixed before your visitors arrive Daisy?

Good morning everyone. Yes it is me up and first on here!! I have been awake since six minutes past four so decided I was fed up lying in bed. I have been very busy at work and have about four days work to fit in today as I have just been asked to submit some words for a bid we are putting in for GOSH which is dear to my heart of course. I have to have this in by Wednesday but as we are going to be away until Wednesday night it will have to go in today by lunchtime to give everyone a chance to pull it to bits, Criticise it, make stupid suggestions etc.

Joe and daddy came home last night but plane was severely delayed and he was too tired to talk last night. Hopefully I can speak to him later on. I did speak to Sadie who told me that she had ridden a REALLY REALLY big horse and is going to draw me a picture, bless. Ben and parents are back Sunday so won't see him until next weekend now.

                            Good morning everyone.
Zizi, I hope you get to talk to GS soon.

Baby GS day today. No GD after school, as she is going to after school film club this week. This will be the first time I have looked after the baby alone since my operation. OH was drawn to play in an away golf competition today, and has already left. I think I will be fine to carry the baby up and downstairs for his naps. If not we shall have out go out so he can sleep in his buggy! I think we may take advantage of not collecting GD to go to the library storytime this afternoon, unless GS is asleep at that time.

I am having reflexology at 7pm. I cancelled my last one is it was for the day after my surgery. I think that 6 weeks post surgery should be fine, so I booked it for tonight. I am ready for it!

                            Have a good day everyone.

Zizi that promise of a picture sounds lovely, will it take pride of place on your fridge door ? Mine used to be covered with works of art.
Enjoy your time with baby GS Gem and enjoy reflexology .
Not entirely sure what I am doing today, I can't go out till my grocery shopping has been delivered and I am waiting for a parcel to be collected some time today, between 8am and 9pm is my slot !
Half term has passed me by here, we no longer have the two eldest GC as they do their own thing now with their mates so I have missed out on a visit from them .The last time I saw them was Christmas !
Also I don't get to see the two youngest CG as they live away and again it was Christmas when we last saw them . We used to pop and see them before OH was taken ill but doesn't travel so good now . As both sets of families have car's am I being unreasonable to expect them to pop and visit us. Rant over now , just feeling a little forgotten today
Bring me sunshine in your smile.
