Good morning all.
First of all thank you admin for my lovely card that arrived yesterday which supplied a much needed boost to my mood yesterday as I have come down with a particularly nasty UTI infection . Its been almost ten years since I had something like this. I used to get them quite regularly and it was put down to anemia, work and trying to look after dad. I never knew which way was up back then.
I was fully expecting to have to fight for an appointment with my GP but luckily they was several appointments free which is as rare as hen's teeth .

Good morning all, damp and very frosty here.

Feeling very tired after a busy week, my legs and feet are really aching as I have not been able to site down much and I am seriously thinking that this will be my last year invigilating. On top of everything else, the powers that be decided to completely change certain procedures which is ok, but unfortunately didn't pass on the info to the students and lecturers. This has made our work more "challenging". Hey go, onwards and upwards, am making the most of my weekend

I haven't had chance to read back so hope everyone is well or on the mend and all is ok with you all.

Enfys - I can picture the scene, trying to tell staff and students they've got to abide by different rules! If there's anything more stroppy than a student doing an exam, it's a teacher invigilating it! LOL

Mimi - Poor you. thank goodness you got a doctor's appointment so quickly! Your surgery must be one in a thousand!

Oh the joys of pet hair! After 15 hair-free years I'd forgotten what it's like. Unfortunately Eva has ginger, black and white hairs in her coat, and coarse spiky hairs and fine downy ones, the full monty!

Good morning from me as well. It's bright, sunny but still bitterly cold here.

My prospects of a quiet relaxing Sunday vanished with a phone call last night! DS1 and family are coming down to introduce Bailey, their newly arrived Border Collie to Eva! I do hope they get on together as it will make family visits much less fun if they don't! They don't know if Bailey has any recall skills so we're going to take him to the paddock we use and put him to the test. Should be a fun day, provided I can move for all the layers of clothes I'll need to fend off Jack Frost!!!

Morning all.
Dark and dismal here today after a bright ,clear day yesterday but it does look as if it might brighten up. One thing to be said about living in this country is we never get bored with the weather. Each day can be completely different.
I've just done my on-line grocery order. Every week I spend about the same but the contents of the bags seem to get fewer and fewer.
I'm not planning much today apart from our usual walk and just a general tidy up.
Daisy I hope the dogs get on.How is Eva generally on her own territory?
I'v just sent a birthday card off to my DD's dog.It's her first birthday on Tuesday. I can just imagine what my SIL will say He got quite narked when I called him Lun'a's (the dog) Dad.He says he's not her biological father!!!!

OH is playing golf with a friend. Rather them than me, it's barely above freezing although it is bright (ish). Later we are going to see La La Land.

In my new New Year and post traumatic period resolve to stick up for me more, I told OH it was fine for her to go off to play golf with a friend today, but I wanted us to go to the cinema later. I have also messaged all my DDs to say that although I have hosted the Mothers Day gathering for the past few years, this year I am awarding myself a Mothers Day off cooking! We shall go out for lunch and all are welcome to come back here for tea and cake etc afterwards. I have hosted recently as my mum is more comfortable here and its good for the kids, with toys, cot, highchair etc. I'm afraid I come first this year however . I will be back from Florida only 3 days before, so still jetlagged, and the clocks go forward the night before, so no, I shan't be cooking this year!

Gem good for you , DS didnt come he has a stinking cold and was coughing like a barking dog when he phoned , so i told him to stay away and we went to DD for lunch instead
