Good morning everyone.

Nanto - what a lovely picture! It is actually sunny here - beautiful sunrise - but we've had a heavy frost and it's bitterly cold.

Gem - thanks for sorting out the mystery of the Guest posts. Yes, is seems to be fine now.

We're off our for coffee and lunch today. OH's ex-employers have an active and social pensioners' group, so were giving some friends a lift and having coffee and lunch in a country hotel. It's nice to get out occasionally without having to be watching the clock!

Gem - I'm sure your mum will be pleased to see you - at least she will be able to talk about the snooker if you drag her away from it.

I hope all the poorly people are feeling a bit better. I seem to have an unending mild cold - it never develops into anything more (thank goodness) but doesn't go away either. I thought cold weather was supposed to kill bugs!

Morning ladies been shopping came back very hungry as couldn't face breakfast before I went out I didn't have a good night and was just still to tired to eat , so came back and had a cup of tea and some toast now feel more human 😊
Got a blister on the edge of my middle toe and it burst a tiny thing but it's agony walking the pressure from my shoe is like a hot knife I think a padded plaster is needed, such a wimp 😊
Daisy maybe your a bit run down if it's just hanging there , I always say most of the time bugs know we just don't have time to be poorly so wait until we have rare free time to ourselves and then hit us so we can't enjoy ourselves 😀

Everyone is on certain parts of the forum, but admin and mods can approve themselves. Others have to wait until one of us comes along, spots your unapproved posts, and approves them. This is not ideal and we will get to the bottom of it!

A friend collected OH from the garage this morning after she took my car in for its MOT.....which ran out in December We hadn't realised. Luckily they could fit it in today. I'm not driving it at the moment so it wont be missed.

A very frosty, cold day here. Had a brisk walk this morning and found out my thermals to keep warm. Kitchen is being delivered next Tuesday, so the spare room will be choc a block with boxes. Installion starts Friday 27th when we rip out the old. My greengrocer neighbour kindly supplied us with lots of banana boxes to store our stuff in. Girly day today.

Managed to get all my jobs done. Changed bedding and washed it,cleaned upstairs.
Ironing done. After dinner (we have our main meal at what most of you call lunch time) i cleaned the cooking corner. Hob,ovens,extractor fan and tiles cleaned.

We had a lovely lunch out today. The sun was just like summer, but about 20C colder!! I was very good and had an avocado and bacon salad, which was delicious, as was the great big chunk of French bread, and the 2 biscuits I had with coffee before lunch. But I know there's no point in me starting a diet in January - there's too much competition from all the strong-willed people who have given up alcohol, cake, biscuits, chocolate, fish & chips, and most other pleasures in life! That's my excuse!

Nanto, are you in competition with Oma ? You both are always so busy. I sometimes think I've been busy but nothing on your scale.
I haven' t been at all busy today. The plan was to do a few jobs in doors and then I had an appointment at the hairdresser .
But before all that I had to ring The Drs surgery to see if my scan results were through. I was told yes and the Dr would ring me back shortly to discuss with me the results .
So I waited and waited, lunch time came and went, I had to cancel the hairdresser....... I helped OH put a new cat flap on the back door. I had the important job of holding the door still ! ....and still no phone call so I decided to ring them. As I was ringing the surgery on my mobile my home phone rang. It was the nurse practitioner , she told me that I was miss informed this morning about the results as they had not yet come back from the hospital and further more they weren't expecting them till the end of next week.
What on earth was the receptionist looking at when I rang this morning, very old notes of mine or a different patient's notes ?
