Back from cardiologist apt he thinks my problems it is being caused by a drug I was prescribed a couple of years ago to control the episodes of atrial fibrillation. I am to stop the drug taking it and he will prescribe something else. He thinks it is affecting my thyroid too. Did blood tests and he will get in touch. Feel happy that someone is taking these falls seriously, this is due to my new doctor referring me, my previous doctor just said I am pleased to see you have a stick!!, he has gone to NZ.What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Well I am a complete twit as I went up to town for our office Christmas lunch today. Arrived in good time but realised there was something wrong when there was no big table set. Oh may be I made a mistake?? Checked my calendar on my phone, of course I had made a mistake it is tomorrow. Manager checked the schedule, no big party in at lunchtime tomorrow. I phoned the organiser thinking maybe the restaurant had made a mistake, nope, the manager hadn't made a mistake. It is Friday 16th that the meal is booked! I do not usually make mistakes like that so am ebarrassed.
So I did my last bit of Christmas shopping. A little something extra for the girls and three items for husband. Husband was in Staines buying for the boys and a Pandora charm each for the girls.
PLant glad to hear that you may have a resolution to your problem. Oma how is Brian today? Poor man is really going through it isn't he. Tell him his fan club is giving him a great big hug xxxx. And of course one for you as well xx

Oma when I was having chemo a whole bunch of us at different stages of our chemo were having trouble with our hair getting thinner and some people having it falling out in clumps. I made arrangements with a fellow business owner (hairdresser and beauty salon) to have a Wednesday afternoon free session (in those days everyone closed Wednesday afternoons). We were at various stages as I say but husbands/partners/families brought in nibbles and drinks and we had a "getting rid of our hair" party. I had mine cut very, very short. Some ladies who were further ahead had theirs shaved but it was all done with humour and laughter. This was over twenty years ago now. I cannot have short hair now, it is all part of having my hair cut so short. I wear my hair up all of the time but I love to see it longer, silly really, it would be easier to keep it short......
My husband has hardly any hair, just because it fell out when he was younger and before I met him, and I think he looks dead sexy. Hair is not necessary AND it will cost less for shampoo etc. SEE? There is a positive errrr yes well errrrIf you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Plant - I'm so sorry that in my haste this morning (emergency childcare) I didn't wish you well for your appointment, but I'm really pleased the consultant may have found the solution to your falls. You must be feeling cautiously optimistic. I wonder what NZ has done to deserve your other GP!
Oma - B's little steps in the right direction make us all happy. I hope his kidneys and liver get back to normal quickly, although I should think all the drugs he's having must affect them to a degree, plus not eating. Give him a good polish tomorrow from us grannies - no, not with your best yellow duster!!!!
Zizi, as Clover says, at least you haven't missed the bun fight, although i'd be annoyed with myself as well.
Mimi - it's strange going back, isn't it. But I'm sure you made the right decision when you moved, and can't wait to get into your own home again.
I had an exhausting day today. I had to take Eva with me to GD's this morning (OH was out), as it was a bit of a scramble getting her sorted as well - breakfast, treats, a few toys. I have enough trouble getting myself out of the house before 8 am! Poor GD2 was feeling very poorly. Her temperature had come down a little from a high of 39.6C last night, thank goodness. She really didn't know what to do with herself, so we spent a lot of time snuggled up on the sofa, not even her favourite tv programmes or my iPad held her attention. The only thing she would eat were squeezy fruit pouches. Every time I moved she called me back. I got home at 6.30 absolutely exhausted. OH was just on his way out (again!) I had a chicken salad and fell asleep for nearly 2 hours on the sofa! And I don't think it will stop me sleeping tonight. GD1 came home from school looking very pale and with a rash on her chest, which could be an allergic reaction to something. I rather hope it is that, and not some awful lurgy - she'd be so upset if she missed the end of term on Friday. Fingers crossed that she's ok.
