    Hi everyone.
We had a good journey back. After a leisurely breakfast we checked out and drove to Enfield, where OHs other niece lives. We had of course seen her and her OH at her sisters paryt, but we wanted to see the children, just one and almost 3, The older boy is one of those children you just take to for some reason, in my case I mean. I love seeing him, He is so cute
We arrived home not long after 6, so not too late for the cats 5pm teatime!

A lovely morning here at the moment. A beautiful pink sky. We are off out for a Christmas lunch and entertainment with the people we do our coach trips with. We are going to Hayling Island so not too far. This is the first time we have done this trip with them but others have said it is really good so we shall see. I have wrapped all the presents and written all my cards so am getting prepared early this year. Well, early for me . Have a lovely Sunday everyone ☀️

Good Sunday morning, everyone. It's bright and sunny here as well, Enfys, but there's been a heavy frost overnight. Hayling island will be lovely - I've only been there once, many years ago! It's silly when it's so near to us.

Oma - I'm sorry you're still having to approve posts. The problem (ie a hacker) has been dealt with, but we've been erring on the side of absolute caution. We'll take the approval thingy off very soon, but in the meantime, many thanks to all you Mods who have so kindly ticked so many boxes. xx

I seem to be spending very little time in the house at the moment, so today I'm looking forward to doing the washing and maybe even the ironing. Such fun I have!!!

Morning. Waiting for DD2 & GS2 to arrive. Sleepover tonight for both. When they get here we're off to Derby to have Sunday lunch with my brother. My sis & BIL are going too. It's going to be a good day.🤗

Nana - that sounds like a lovely family day - a drip out and a family lunch. I hope you all have a great time.

I think Daisy meant trip not drip.

Sounds like you will have a lovely day Nana.

                      Good morning everyone.

I am enjoying a Lindor chocolate each morning, courtesy of the advent calendar DD2 bought me. Always good to start the day with chocolate!

Today was Christmas cake day, as OH is playing golf. I need to drop in on mum for a bit though and while I am out I would rather finish the Christmas shopping (most of it hers) as I need all sorted. If needs be cake and mince pies can be bought this year. I still hope to make the cakes, for us and mum, as I have the ingredients, but probably not today.

                      Enjoy your days everyone.

Daisy that reminds me of the time dil had taught Ben to sing happy birthday for her mum. I did not know about it and taught him "chick chick chick chick chicken" so when dil produced the cake and tried to get him to sing happy birthday all he could remember was the chicken song!! He was about three at the time.

I nipped to the supermarket this morning to top up the children's presents. Sadie is easy to buy for but the boys are harder especially Joe. I bought him a rare nice jacket and a camping drinking umb (he goes on extreme dad and son camping trips) and he has the drone I bought him which dil said he wanted. I don't know yet what Ben wants, we are waiting for his birthday to see what he had got (18th November) I have books for them all, build a minion for the boys, drinking mugs, electric toothbrushes. Sadie has a karaoke machine (might have to "forget the batteries" on the day they come here), a smiggle pencil case, my little pony sparkly colouring set. I will buy all of them a new outfit as usual. Ben lately has become very keen on smellies but he has a bit of excma (not sure that is spelt right but you know what I mean)miso I shall have a look around for some, maybe for Joe too.

I spent an hour and half on De dnhams web site this afternoon. The slowest, most annoying web site I have been on for a long time. I order a new leather laptop bag for husband (£135 reduced from £270), some cashmere boxed scarves for the three boys (£20 from £40), some posh boxed design socks for the men in Wales (£10 from £18) and a telescope for Ben which apparently is his latest hears desire. It was £42 reduced from £80. It looks all singing and dancing, links to phones and computers etc. Unfortunate itm as I say, the site was exceptionally slow and at the end it took almost seven minutes to take my payment and then said an error had occurred. I telephoned Debenhams who said they could take the order over th phone but as husband was here I couldn't do that. They said I should go back on and reorder. I said I have just spent almost three hundred quid and it has taken me Ages, I am not in the mood to do it again!

so ten minutes later I get an email saying the order has been placed. SIGH they really don't make I easy to spend your money do they?

Thank you Nanto - my fingers don't always listen to my brain!

Zizi - who knew it could be so hard to spend money.

Has anyone else noticed there seems to be a chocolate theme running through today's Chatbox posts? I think I'll have to go and raid my stash and join in.

It was very cold out when we took Eva for her run in the paddock - she was the only one who didn't seem to mind.

GD's Birthday today (23), her parents have taken her to London to see Lion King, SIL was a bit reluctant. I think there is cake when they get back. I haven't been further than the dustbin today, wrapped some birthday presents and started my Christmas cards.

Very annoying Zizi, I suppose their website is red hot.
