Daisy, DD and SIL work 5 minutes drive from us, which is why I have always babysat here. My day would be long, as I would have to be there in time for them to set off for work, and stay there until they get home. GD doesnt like it when she can't come here, so mostly things will stay as they are for now. They are hoping to move offices to much closer to where they live however, so we may reconsider things then.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.
I didn't sleep too well as I have a sore throat which kept waking me. It came out of nowhere yesterday evening, so I'm hoping it goes just as quickly!
Usual Thursday stuff with my mum. I thought we were eating out with friends tonight. When I contacted the friend whose birthday it is, to arrange taxi sharing ,she told me it is Sunday nightWhy do I have it as tonight in my diary??!!
As I have a sore throat, I'm not sorry it's not tonight!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning everyone.
Nanto - it's wet here too, but will hopefully get better.
Gem - it would make such a difference to your DD and SIL if they worked closer to their home - the commute must be quite frustrating to them. I hope your sore throat is better.
We're going to a funeral today. It's at 1 pm so don't suppose we'll get much else done.

Gem and Oma - enjoy your meet up tomorrow. If our ears are burning, we'll know why! Oma - good to hear that OH's bloods are so good.
Plant - how are you feeling today?
After a wet start, we also had a lovely sunny and warm day. We met up with several members of OH's family at the funeral which was nice, despite the sad occasion. As always the best laid plans can develop problems though. The road giving access to the club where the wake was taking place was closed which meant a very long detour. At one point the diversion sign had a twin - one pointing right and one left! Thank goodness someone in the car had a better sense of direction than me (OH and BIL)!
We came home and took Eva out for her mad gallop round the paddock and it was still warm and sunny.
Tomorrow, I've got a trip to the dentist lined up (hopefully only a check up) then we're having coffee with some wood turning friends of OH."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Good morning ladies.
Oma and Gem enjoy your coffee together.
Oma good to hear that Brian is doing well.
I had a phone call from the jury service yesterday morning, apparently they have far too many jurors than they need and would I either like to have my name put forward to another date in the near future or decline which would mean that I may or not be summed for jury service between now and when I reach the age of 70.
I declined. I wasn't really looking forward to doing it f I'm honest.
Busy day today, D.SC. is coming for lunch and I really must tackle the ironing. I haven't got much there as I iron as little as possible, I never do bedding, night wear, undies, tea towels, woollen items, OHs polo shirts and anything else that doesn't need it.
Hoping for nice weather as I still have wallflowers to plant out and the flower beds could do with weeding.
Tomorrow we have got GD coming for a sleepover but she has to leave early on Sunday morning as she has trials for the netball county teamBring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning everyone.
I must catch up with the forum tonight!
OH and I are meeting Oma and Mr Oma for coffee this morningHome for hairdressing appointments , then I have an afternoon client.
Mimi, that's good that you are off the jury list if you would prefer not to do it. My mum always wanted to be called. At 88 it's not going to happen now!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
