Glad you had a good day ladies. Myself I was with a bunch of kids this morning at our site in Barts Square which is THE City of London (distinctly different from the city of London - there is actually an area called The City) then my afternoon meeting got cancelled so I came home to ........ Half a kitchen. It is worse than it was before but not the fault of the people who came today. I am so upset, I have been in floods of tears. The new units will not be delivered until 27th September so what bruddy half wit got the fitters in for today?

The fitting team from today are proper craftsmen, carpenters, not stick it in fitters. They do remedial work for Wren kitchens. The main person says he has never seen anything as bad as what we have. I should have come to York with you ladies as I might have been able to cope if I had had a good laugh beforehand.

Spent a few hours at eldest sons house.he's had it all rewired.All clean and ship shape now, dust was everywhere.
He's only got one big job left,and that's the kitchen,but I don't think he's having it done until early next year.

ZIZI, I think it will go OK. When we replaced our kitchen last time,the firm came out to measure up, then made all the units accordingly.Units were delivered ready assembled,apart from having the doors on.
Hubby took out the old units and fitted the new ones himself. The only other workman we had in, was a plasterer.
So, I think that is what son is going to do, and hubby will help him.

Free day today. It is forecast to get up to 29° today, and 20° overnight!
Too hot to do much. I will put the bedding in the wash once we are out of bed, apart from that I don't think too many chores will get done!

Morning ladies off to Dr for blood pressure check up . having new internet put in today been with BT but getting Plus net. Doing this on my phone very hard to see even with glasses on 😂 free day so after Dr going to have a wander around shops xx

Out to lunch with a friend and then visit our friend in nursing home, hope she is in a bit better temper today, I wouldn't go as it seems to upset her but friend wants to see her.

Oma BP check is one of the things I had to arrange today. I have made so many phone calls this morning, I almost came off the phone to the Drs without leaving my name!! Receptionist and I had a laugh about it anyway

Lovely sunny morning. Washing bedding and towels, then I may go out for a while to make the most of this lovely weather.

Bp was slightly raised so another check on October 10th she made our appointments for flu jab on 4th October so more to put on Calendar. Got all my delicate hand washing done its drip drying nicely 😂

It's been a busy day with the GDs today, and I'm shattered.

I've just had a disturbing online chat with a very old friend. She was asking me for money, but I don't think it was her at all. The tone was all wrong, and when I suggested we switched to French she addressed me as 'vous', which I'm sure she would never do. I've tried to email her but haven't got her current e-address. I feel quite upset about it.
