A old school friend has just posted on face book she had a nasty accident on Friday , her 2 year old granddaughter was standing at the back door when it was about to slam on her so my friend put her hand in the door way to stop it and had her middle finger on her right hand chopped off , luckily with surgery they have re attached it , I think we would all do the same to save our babies wouldn't we . It took me back to when my then 8 year old niece lost her ring finger in a slammed front door unfortunately hers wasn't saved . I cringe when I hear slamming doors even now

So do I Oma, almost 14 years ago at work I shoved the in/out door to the dining room at work as it was about to hit one of the waitresses. I put my hand in to slow it down and as it has no handle it swung through with my hand in it.I broke my wedding finger and had to have my rings cut off at the hospital as my finger had blown up like a balloon. The painful part was having my then brand new solitaire engagement ring cut off as well as my wedding ring. Brian had bought me the new engagement ring for my 50th birthday only a couple of weeks before. Boy did it hurt, glad they managed to reattach your friends finger.

My stomach flipped when I read it Libra I know how much pain my niece went through , I'm always telling the kids to watch the doors . Thing with my old school friend was she said it would have taken the little ones hand off if it had hit her she just lunged forward and put her hand in to stop it

Oma, good news that they could reattach your friends finger. It's a natural reaction to stop a door from slamming on someone, especially a child.

Morning ladies, weather looking excellent for the coming week if the forecasters have it right. Busy week for me, eldest 2 girls tomorrow as DD has to work, office Wednesday, youngest 2 Thursday. Pause for breath Friday work Saturday and Sunday. But then I'm off again for 10 days with just 5 shifts left to do, October 9th is coming around fast. Have a good day everyone.

You know I am really not a doggy person but I am curious about the food ladies on here are feeding their dogs. Libra (I think) fed hers raw chicken, eggs including shells and carrot and apple and Oma is feeding chicken scrambled eggs and shells. Is this a new thing? What are the benefits supposed to be? Not sure that I could get up first thing and face a dog eating raw chicken, might be ill.....

Right, trying again on my laptop!

Good morning love the cute mice, Nan2!

The sun is shining after a misty start. OH is going to do a couple of hours gardening for a disabled lady. I will do some housework
Later we will go out, as this is the only day this coming week when we are both free.

All this talk of amputated fingers. OUCH!!

                      Have a good day everyone!

Morning all Looks like being a lovely day. Sad for me though as DD and family have spent a flying visit with us and they are off back home this morning, hopefully before the traffic builds up.
GS who has ASD is off tomorrow to his new Secondary School for two days Summer School before term starts properly. It is for all the children who might have difficulty with the transition so I do hope it goes smoothly. He is rather immature ( but very intelligent!") so I'm praying he won't get bullied and finds his niche.Yesterday he wanted to go to the playing field next to our house "independently" as he put it . When he returned he said he had been clearing litter- bless him!
I shall also miss their lovable 7 month old Cavapoo who is cuteness on legs
                        Enjoy your day ladies.

Good morning ladies. I didn't wake up will 9 o'clock which is late for me!

Ouch - all those fingers - thank goodness your friend's was sewn back on, Oma. I once trapped my ring finger in the blades of a lawnmower and it cut neatly right to the bone all the way round, and I can remember feeling very sick as I looked at it!

Zizi - can I have some of your energy as well, please.

Clover - I do hope your GS will be ok. My GS1 had a few days before the start of term when he went to secondary school, and it was very helpful because he learned his way round and met teachers etc. It's a really good thing to do. I've been wondering how Luna was getting on. Any photos?

Zizi - lots of dog owners feed their dogs a diet of raw meat, bone and offal - the sort of thing they' eat in the wild. The dry stuff (kibble) is highly processed and contains grain, carbs etc which isn't a natural dog diet. I fed our Yorkies raw for years - before there was such a good choice of suppliers - and eventually I'll switch Eva over as well, but because she's allergic to chicken I'm making sure I can cover all her needs before taking the plunge.

We had two lost of unexpected visitors yesterday, which was lovely. The first couple got stuck in helping with cleaning the caravan - the outside is now sparkling clean and looking like new. The others were my friend's family visiting from Yorkshire and they came round after dinner and we ended up having a fairly late, boozy evening, but it was fun.

Lovely sunny day here, so I'd better get on with things - both GDs for the day tomorrow, and I bet they'd like a picnic in the caravan.

Zizi eggs and egg shell are full of good stuff for their bones coats and hearts , in the wild dogs raid nests as they have a instinct that they are good for them , raw food is a natural diet also , Storm has dry food too but loves his raw chicken he also loves rice and cooked chicken mixed together , he can't eat tinned dog food and can't have dog treats he has a very delicate stomach a usual thing in Huskies till they mature so his treat is eggs and shells . Complicated thing this dog malarkey 😊

Daisy requested more photos of DD's new Cavapoo (well 7 months now) so I've put a few on my media if anyone would like to see the little tinker!
